It’s easier/faster to get the Uchigatana (low stat requirements to wield) in Limgrave, and bleed the big white dragon that lies still in Caelid at Faroth. You can also easily acquire a golden pickled foul foot in limgrave on your way to the Church where the Caelid teleporter is located to increase the runes obtained by killing the white dragon. You get around 96,000 runes in about five minutes, maybe less. Also in Caelid you can cheese the nights cavalry off a cliff next to the bridge where he spawns at night (it’s simple). That’ll net you 40,000 runes on top of the roughly 96,000 runes from the white dragon. 136,000 runes (roughly) in total. It doesn’t take long.
I use the little guys you use in this video just to top things off once in awhile if I’m just shy of a level.

hey! i was trying to get bloodhound step from the nights cavalry at the bridge by cheesing him but nothing i tried worked? has it been patched? is there another way to do it?
@@bruhmcdonald9653 I just did it the other day. You have to bait him around the bridge to the edge of cliff. When he’s close to you jump onto the side of the bridge. He’ll jump into the air off the cliff. He may kill you but you still get the runes. Look up a video on RUclips. It’s kind of hard to explain. Better to see it visually.
There's another Caelid spot that's semi afk I don't think it's as much per enemy but it's good enough that it's worthwhile enough if you need to multi-task. Requires 15-30s of running to aggro things and you're free
