This warmed my heart hearing your changing your plans to visit Eamon and Bec.... you just got even better in my eyes which I didn’t think was possible(love you guys)... but to drop everything and go give comfort to Bec while she deals with her health issues is amazing to see!!!
Kara: "Do you want to sleep on the inside?", Nate: "No, because I have to get up and get coffee"... Nate setting the standard for all of us. I hope to one day find what you guys have. You're so amazing - and much support towards Eamon and Bec ❤
Dear Kara and Nate, As a retired Amtrak employee, you made every moment that I put in 200% (and believe me, there were many of those moments) feel so appreciated and worth while. I always took great pride in my work there and I was truly elated with your experience. You brought a tear to my eye. You're the best! Take Care, Tom
This is the third video I've seen people taking Amtrak and it does look really nice. Some of the minor negatives have nothing to do with the staff, and it seems the company chose to spend the money they have on good training of staff, but not totally upgrading or modernizing the inside of the rooms? I'd rather see a minor tear on the wall and have great service though, any day of the week, so it's a minor gripe and likely not their fault, since their budget is limited, I'm assuming. Good job guys! ☺️
I’m a retired sleeping car attendant for Amtrak. While the family room is large the most “luxurious” accommodations you can have is a suite. That’s when you pull back the wall that’s between either B&C or D&E. Those rooms have been upgraded. It’s been awhile though. The Coast Starlight is a beautiful trip. Hope you had a good attendant.
Thanks for sharing ! I had a similar pleasant experience not long ago while traveling for work. I got stranded in Gallup, NM when our heavy equipment truck decided to eat the transmission. No rental cars to be found. We had to take the train to Albuquerque to catch a plane home. I must say that was a very enjoyable little trip. Smooth riding, faster than the traffic on the nearby hiway. The scenery was stunning. And no TSA harrassing you (like at the airports). If you have the time, this is the way to travel cross country. I have NEVER felt more comfortable while traveling. And we were in coach - $40 from Gallup to Albuquerque was well worth every penny. Good work, AMTRAK !
So happy you guys are going to visit bec, since you guys introduced them to your channel I’ve watched them as consistently as I watch you guys (my fellow Canadians are awesome! 🇨🇦) my thoughts have been with them since their cancer journey has started and I pray that bec has a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 safe travels Kara and Nate!
I've taken the Coast Starlight up and down the coast several times now, and it is a very pleasant way to travel! When you get a room or roomette, you're upgraded to First Class, and it really is good service. It's not cheap, but it's a lovely experience and you arrive happy and well-rested. I enjoy train travel more than air travel. For me, the secret is to call it part of my vacation - the journey is part of the trip, not just getting there as fast as you can. The ticket and room upgrade cost more, but if you consider gas, food, and a hotel room for driving it doesn't sound so bad. Amtrak is a really nice bed and breakfast that moves. The food on Amtrak is much better than that you'd buy at fast food on the Interstate, too. I've done day trips in coach, and it's fine, but I wouldn't want to sleep there either. You could get away with it. On the last coach car there's a big flat spot you can put down a sleeping bag and sleep if you want to camp on the train. Traveling by myself a Roomette is fine, but I'd want the larger room for a couple. If you call Amtrak, you can reserve multiple, adjoining rooms and they have doors that can be opened between them for a larger shared space. One piece of advice for you, if you do it again (and I hope you will, Amtrak has some beautiful routes across the USA) is to pack a carry-on bag for what you need on the train and check your big bags. They'll be locked securely in the baggage car and not trip you up in your room, and be delivered to you at your destination. There's also a space by the doors that you can store your bags on shelves, but it's less secure. None of the doors lock, so even in your room isn't great, but the baggage car is locked. I will note that sometimes the trains can get interrupted by things and you'll be late... I was over 12 hours late once... and sometimes the tracks are closed and you get to take a bus instead. That's not great, but it gets you there. It's a pity, but the've removed the first class observation car, which had a full bar and movie theatre. It was a quiet place to sit and offered wine tastings in the afternoon. Those cars were 80 years old and had vintage wooden bars and brass fittings and were beautlful, gracious, and comfortable, with windows all around and overhead like the main observation car.
I so badly want to do a first class train trip. Sadly, not a lot of options from Iowa, the journey would take my entire vacation time. I've only ridden a train once in the US. A commuter train from NYC to Baltimore for work. It was a decent ride and way better than driving.
Thanks for all the inside info. There was a time when traveling on the Central Coast of California was by bus even though you purchased a train ticket. That has kept me from traveling by train, this has got me excited to try it again.
I am so excited to see that you guys went on this train! A quick tip for anybody planning to ride coach... because the seats are not assigned and are instead filled from the back of the train to the front, make sure to be the first person in line so that you can sit in the back to look out the rear window! One of the small perks of being in coach :)
So happy you guys are going to see Eamon &Bec at such challenging times. The support and laughter they need right now. Also so excited to see you take the train through Canada 🇨🇦
4:00 when you mentioned you were going to visit Eamon and Beck because they're going through a hard time, I nearly cried. It's so nice to see you guys check in on them because I wish I could and you're doing it for me! Wholesome stuff!
I was thinking the same thing! I love how they travel and explore so many beautiful places. I’m retired and would love to do this but my sweetie is a workaholic and a homebody😢. I’m ready to start solo traveling or join a travel group at this point!
I never clicked on anything so fast, I'm so glad you guys did this! This is our favorite room on Amtrak and we have happily traveled so many places in the family room. You guys definitely should have had the surf and turf. And I'm sure you discovered that the temperature controls in any Amtrak train don't actually do anything. They probably did when the trains were first built. Now we just like watching newbies fiddle with them. Love you guys, safe travels.
Kara lip syncing the conductors announcement makes me so happy. It’s a great little example of why this channel is worth its weight in gold. Every episode is full of moments that could lift anyones spirits. If I’m ever feelin 😢 watching 5 minutes of Kara instantly makes me feel better.
25:15 omg when Nate said "welcome to the US, everyone's so friendly" with sarcasm 😂 I love your guys' videos so much, and it's so kind how you guys are going to Canada to support Eamon and Bec with their challenging journey! 💗
For some reason, it's more expensive than the American one and the scenery is fairly similar unlike the US, though I suppose it's more modern since it's newer and the food & service is probs better. I really wanted to go but it was way too expensive.
I love how you guys always have a smile on your faces and do such interesting things and are open to absolutely anything and there is a wide range of open space out there and you guys handle anything with excellence. Instant subscription. You guys deserve it and keep up the great work!
I love Nate’s pose in the beginning of the train tour and how the conductor said to make sure you have all your personal belongings like your car keys, wallet, children, etc…😂😂
Love that you are going to Canada to support Eamon and Bec! Now you have me thinking of taking my 13 year old down the California coastline via Amtrak!
One of the nice things about coach or business class is the seats have a recliner function from under the seat as well so the seats lay a little flatter in coach as well. I use to take the Amtrak train from Utah to California to visit family in 2016-2019.
I took this same train, however hopped on in Oakland (Jack London Square) at around 9:30pm and rode all the way up to Seattle to visit family. Took me about 13+ hours less than your ride. Since it was just me traveling solo overnight, I booked the roomette, and it was perfect for just me. It included my meals and a place to hang some things. No bathroom or shower but I was ok just walking down the hall. I enjoyed the whole trip! Nice having time to myself just taking in the sites, reading and napping. Would definitely do it again! I would love to take a train across Canada! On my list of things to do! Looking forward to watching the next leg of your trip!
The trip you are about to take / or have already taken (depending on when you posted this) in Canada is one of the most scenic, beautiful, relaxing train rides ever. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I hope you do too! Give E and B a virtual hug from us xo p.s. Most of us don't actually say 'eh' hahahhaa
I'm so excited you are going to support Beck! My mom is going through a similar journey and having loved ones to support is providing her so much strength. Wishing you both safe travels!
I was really sad when y’all stopped your road trip, but to find out you guys are going over to support your friends is so sweet!! Can’t wait for the train journey!!
So kind and thoughtful of you two to drop everything to provide fellowship and support to your friends during their difficult time. One of the best things for Bec right now is lots of laughter. Laughter generates healing powers and activates all those endorphins. So find our what movies, comedy series and games make her rolling in laughter and indulge her! I’m sending healing thoughts her way. I’m looking forward to the next part of your train journey.
Train across Canada is supposed to be beautiful! On my bucket list. And awesome to hear you're visiting Eamon & Bec! They need the positivity you guys bring...with all they are going through they still remain positive.
Your train vlogs were the only thing that kept me sane during the first lockdown. I have literally seen every train vlog you have ever made and I’m so excited for a new one!! Love from Canada 🇨🇦
You two have sold me on the Amtrak experience and I’ve been considering the Coast Starlight for some time. It makes sense, especially as I live in San Diego and my sister lives in Seattle. I just need to do it sometime, for one of those family visits. I’m doing my first overnight train in April when I take the Caledonian Express from London to Edinburgh. Cannot wait - well actually I’ve been waiting for awhile as I originally had booked the journey in April 2020…and then you know what happened. Oh, and Amtrak - you should have sponsored this video!. And thanks for being such great friends to Eamon and Bec - all of you are clearly wonderful humans.
The Coast Starlight route has awesome views. I regularly ride this train and sights never disappoint. Pre pandemic National Park volunteers gave nature talks and historical insights in the observation car. Things to take on long distance trains: charging cords, duct tape, fresh fruit/veggies, shower shoes
Kara, i just wanted to say that your zest and enthusiasm for life are so infectious and i really thank you for it. I had hard time feeling positive emotions and have lots of complaints about my life in my head but seeing your joy automatically makes me feel so happy and makes me want to cheer for my life, too! And Nate is another amazing human being, too!!! I hope we can be real life friends someday. Your videos are so much more fun than netflix and disney plus at the moment lol. I absorb so much positivity and joy from you two amazing people. Much love! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎💕
I love that you're doing this trip! I would actually love to take my parents on this train ride some day. My dad is a total train nerd and I can hardly imagine a better and more epic route (also love the California coast line ofc).
It's expensive! I've checked every year and it cost more than $600 (one way) for a roomette on a 28 trip LAX to PDX. A plane is only 3-4 hours and $160 (round trip).
@@keriezy If you buy the tickets during their buy one get one sale you can sometimes save hundreds! They only do this sale maybe twice a year and it usually only runs for 2 weeks but you can book travel on that sale for 3-4 months ahead so you can plan your trip. If you sign up for their email list you’ll get notified of when they do it.
18:22 Funny you say that! These light blue blankets are actually a NEW addition to the trip, replacing the crappy lint blankets used on the service for decades. It's so nice to not have to worry about blue fuzz working its way into every part of your cabin (and yourself!), so as ancient as these things look they are a welcome change.
I'm so glad you guys chose to do this! I love Amtrak and have been on 21 of their overnight trains. They are spotty and have lots of room for improvement, but overall they are in my opinion the best vacation you can do. You guys HAVE to take the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco, it's so scenic and such a good experience. I'm so glad to see passenger rail gaining more attention in the U.S.! Love your channel keep it up!!!
Ok late in seeing this video haha but As someone who lives in Oregon and found this channel years ago (pre Covid ) idk how I missed this trip but it’s so funny anytime I get to see you traveling up the west coast compared to all the exotic locations you’ve been to worldwide. Obviously I’m biased having lived here in Oregon my whole life haha but the west coast of the USA offers some of the most breathtaking views anywhere on earth. Long time fan of the channel and love watching how you two have grown through the years. On a whim I watched the trans Siberian train travel videos you guys did and I was hooked pretty fast. Somewhere along the way I stopped watching every day but recently I got back into and I’m really happy that I found you guys again. Such an innocent and heartwarming channel and I mean that. I hope nothing but the best of what this world offers for you guys and hope you can overcome the recent challenges that it unfortunately has thrown in your direction. Health issues are scary, but having a true diagnosis really helps to manage the chaos of it all. I’ve got faith in your ability to overcome a challenge. Take care and god bless and keep making amazing content. The quality never stops and it’s very admirable to watch. 🙏
Oh guys. Just when I thought I couldn't love you guys anymore, you're going to visit 2 of our most favorite Canadians when they need the extra love the most. You guys are just amazing. Love, hugs, & safe travels.!
For your first Amtrak trip, Oh my gosh, you picked the most scenic, beautiful route. Love it when my husband and I took it many yeas ago with our kids...in coach. The seats recline and have a footrest that pops out. Not quite a bed, but close. You can also bring your own travel pillow and blanket, if you want. The dinner car is the best. Though they seat you communal style, so you get to meet really interesting people. I guess you guys wanted a table to yourselves to film. For another beautiful scenic route is the California Zephyr. Chicago to San Francisco, through the Rocky Mountains. Maybe on your way back.
Awesome!!! Now this is wonderful!!! Nothing like hopping aboard one of Amtrak’s Long-Distance trains especially on one of my favorite routes, the Coast Starlight from Los Angeles, California to Seattle, Washington. Even though I haven’t actually rode on Amtrak’s Coast Starlight, I do however know that it’s such a fantastic experience unlike any other and the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the Coastal Mountains, areas rich with agriculture, and so much more are great examples of this. Of course even though here in the US, train travel tends to be considered an afterthought since most Americans are more concentrated on driving and flying, compared to other countries that you’ve visited before, Amtrak still does everything they can to make sure that everyone who rides onboard have an amazing and relaxing experience just like you guys with all the different amenities they provide. Glad you enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see how your experience will be on one of Canada’s trains!!! :) Also a quick Fun Fact: The main locomotives that have pulled many of Amtrak’s long-distance trains for over 20+ years now are part of a series of locomotives known as the General Electric “Genesis” series of locomotives with these ones being known as the P42DC that were first built by the company General Electric between 1997 and 2001 with 207 having been produced for Amtrak. P=Passenger, 42= 4,250 horsepower, and DC= Direct Current Traction Motors. It’s a pleasure to see and hear them with locomotive 147 leading your train!!! :)
I can't believe I am finally at the first video I watched with Kara and Nate. I love taking Amtrak when I go to Boston on occasion. I was looking for a video that would show what it would be like to travel long distances. This is where I fell in love with Kara and Nate. I decided to subscribe and I have been binge-watching from the beginning of their travels.
So happy to hear you're going to see Eamon and Bec, they need friends now more than anything. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels, and God bless love ya Nancy
I love this new plan! I'm so looking forward to a train trip in the near future. I'm just outside Toronto, and I've been watching Eamon and Bec's recent journey. So awesome that you can come support them. I know y'all are resourceful, but if you need anything while nearby I'm here for you!
Kara and Nate!!! We are huge fans and have watched you every week for 2 years! We love to travel too and get tips from you every time. God bless you both.
Im so happy you guys visited Eamon and Bec, they are the best and im sad they were going through rough times. Today Bec is recovering from cancer and shes done with all the treatments. I hope everything goes well for them, you guys are the sweetest.
So glad you are going to see Eamon and Bec. You might even be there already. Please give them a hug from me and let them know they are in my thoughts and prayers daily! Also I loved this video. My husband wants to go on an Amtrak adventure but after taking the trains in Europe and Japan I have been very hesitant! I appreciate you showing it all! 😍
Hope you guys experience the southern routes of Amtrak especially those coming from Chicago (The Amtrak Southwest Chief is an option by the way, it's a trip from Chicago back to LA) as they have remodeled the interiors of those cars. And New York City to Miami has completely new cars as well which are much more modern. Regardless, great video, hope your other trips go well and stay safe!
It has been 10 years since my wonderful experience taking that train. You captured the scenery and relaxation perfectly! I had the added pleasure of spending time in the observation car talking to a wonderful man who was retired from the movie industry and traveling home to his ranch. He had a lot of movie and train history to share! Unlike air travel, the freedom to wander on a train means if you are traveling alone you won't be lonely because it is very easy to socialize on a train.
I’m so glad y’all enjoyed the train ride! My husband and l love traveling by train when we can. Hope you have great experiences all the way to Eamon & Bec. I have so enjoyed following them since you introduced us all to them last year. Give them hugs from us all and encouragement for their journey!
Wow, this brings back memories for me! When I was a kid, my family took a train trip across the country from Jackson, MS to Chicago to Oakland. We were in Coach the whole time, but it was still one of the most awesome trip’s I’ve ever taken.
Idk why I find trains so interesting. I totally want to do this someday. I’ve never been to the west coast and this seems like an amazing way to experience it
I took this train a few years ago, alone in a room like you originally booked, perfect for one person. Everything was clean but the blanket was ancient army wool that smelled like the cleaning chemicals so I couldn't use it. Other than being woken up at every stop, it was a great trip. There was even a movie theatre under the lounge. And those hundred year old cup holders were before bottled water was invented!
The old blankets were fun-so full of static electricity that they would light up like a swarm of fireflies at night. However, both the blankets and pillows were upgraded a few months ago. And unfortunately the Pacific Parlor car has not been around for a while...I don't know if they are being refurbished or were just taken out of service.
@@steventagawa6959 Most likely taken out of service. Amtrak would NEVER dream of updating its ancient cars. I knew one of the two would mention how the car is falling apart inside. That's the norm with Amtrak.
Loved this! So bummed the Canada train trip didn’t happen. But thankful y’all are ok after Covid. Thanks for sharing your adventures… you kept us entertained during the lockdown.
This is 100% going on my bucket list!!!! I've driven the coast from San Francisco to Carlsbad and back. I've always wanted to drive it from Baja California to the tip of Washington, which I still want to do because you can stop wherever you want for as long as you want. However, this seems so cool. As Nate said, when you're driving, you just don't get to see and enjoy the way you would on the train.
The train from Seattle to Vancouver is beautiful, and please consider this voyage! The train literally follows the coast and sometimes you can see Orca's.
At the time of the video filming the Amtrak Cascades which is the Train that runs from Eugene, OR to Vancouver B.C. stops at Seattle since Covid 19. It is scheduled to resume in late March 2022.
Ah, the memories... I regularly rode Santa Fe a couple of years before AMTRAK was created, and for several years after. I was on the Super Chief in the early 1960s, when it's reputation for the travel mode of stars and politicians had already waned, but it was still relatively first class, all-Pullman service. The Fred Harvey dining cars were a fine hotel experience with linen tablecloths and napkins, real china, and all hot food prepared onboard. Impeccable service from friendly but dignified waiters, with Continental seating so you'd meet other riders at meals. Some of my favorite family memories involve train travel.
I really enjoyed our 16-hour train ride to Chicago and back. On the way there we had a bedroom and on the way back a roomette (Northeast, so no bi-level cars because of the old tunnels). I really enjoyed it very much and that experience even made it to my first novel. Overnight Amtrak trains are great whether you want to be with other people or not.
Really excited to see the next leg of your trip! We have been researching taking the train from somewhere around Kelowna BC to Toronto to see my Nana in law. Being an anxious person actually seeing what the train would be like would make the trip so much easier. Thank you for your videos that bring some joy in these crazy times.
Hello from Ellington, Connecticut. Watching your train US train experience was fun. I'm so glad you're going to visit Eamon and Bec. I've always enjoyed their channel, but their recent journey has been so heartbreaking and raw. Sending all of you positive vibes. PS Can't wait for when you finally make it to Connecticut.
We love travelling by train. We took a trip from Northern CA to Seattle about 20 years ago, and another from Northern CA to Washington D.C. in 2018. Yes, Amtrak trains can be a little grungy but that's because we need to invest in our infrastructure in this country. I just made sure to wipe everything down. One thing I'll note is we traveled in the rooms that have a private toilet shower, and in the family room. I would take the family room every time. The in-room toilet tends to smell a little and you're stuck with that smell the whole trip. In the family room the bathrooms and showers are just a few steps outside your door, so it's pretty convenient. So cool you finally went on Amtrak! BTW, If you add trains trips to your customizable maps I would order some!!
I loved this! I took this exact journey a few years ago, but due to a delay, most of the coast was in the evening and I didn’t get to see as many views as you did. Looks stunning! And I’m soooo excited for more train vlogs
When my family moved from IL to Tx we did it by Amtrak and my siblings and I spent the whole trip in the train with all the windows....one of the best trips ever.....I'd love to do another train trip
This video was amazing guys, I would love to take this trainride and the one in Canada in the future that would be amazing, sounds so fun especialy when you say you have the feeling of doing nothing which is one of my favorite feelings and doing that for 5 days would feel so great! Love yalls videos and i hope that Eamon and Bec have brighter days in the future.
When mom and I took an amtrak train from Virginia to Minnesota, we had a room heading there, and a family room heading home. Both very nice. Also, food was included in the ticket, we only had to pay gratuity and alcohol (mom and I don't drink so that didn't apply to us).
took a train from dc to nyc and i loved it so much even tho we went coach, it was so roomy and was a very comfortable experience for me. and the views you see are so interesting and things you wouldn't see if you took a plane or car (even though i love plane views even tho its mostly clouds the whole time) and it made me so much more willing to take a train for long-distance travel in the us. i saw a video of people taking a train from NYC to la and its been on my bucket list ever since! it seems absolutely gorgeous.
You guys would LOVE the Rocky Mountaineer in western Canada! It's very similar to the Glacier Express in that it has (in my opinion) even more windows and more luxurious. It takes you on tracks that no commercial trains can go on through the Rocky Mountains (hence the name) for the sole purpose of sight seeing . They also have what I can only describe as a balcony cart so you can be outside on a cart with only railings on the side as the train is going full speed. ruclips.net/video/WzHAGQhLfG8/видео.html
I did the 24 hour Amtrak trip from Minnesota to Montana and got a coach seat. Surprisingly comfortable to sleep in! No one sat next to me so I took up two seats and it was pretty awesome. Don't think I'd want to do it for more than one night, but it was a fun way to travel for really cheap.
In 2017 I got to ride the Via Rail train across Canada for $150 as much as I wanted in the month of July for Canada’s 150th Birthday. A select number of people under 25 essentially got to do this. I took a chance and did it by myself. What did that get me? An economy class ticket where I really only had a seat to sleep in. I ended up sneaking into the dining car (more casual shared style with booth type seating) and sleeping there for more space until I got kicked out when everyone came in for breakfast. It’s a tough train ride in economy unless you sleep really well anywhere. But I bet you will get a berth or room and have a blast. I’m gonna take a wild guess and say it might be your favourite trip yet. It’s so gorgeous to see almost all the landscapes it has to offer. Too bad it really doesn’t go through the Alberta Rockies. I will say be prepared for LOTS of LONG delays. Freight trains have right of way in Canada. I was 12 hours delayed when arriving home at the end of the month. Can’t wait for you to experience it. I Don’t know how behind the videos are so your probably already done with it.
woohoo. I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada and you will be passing through on your way to Ontario. I find that tourists make fun of the prairie flatland when they pass through saying there is nothing to see. BUT when you live here, you notice the beauty. We aren't called 'Land of the Living Skies' for nothing. Enjoy Canada.

I've done day trips in coach, and it's fine, but I wouldn't want to sleep there either. You could get away with it.
So thrilled you are going to visit with Emon & Bec, I can't imagine two more people capable of lifting their spirits during this challenge
I am so excited to see that you guys went on this train! A quick tip for anybody planning to ride coach... because the seats are not assigned and are instead filled from the back of the train to the front, make sure to be the first person in line so that you can sit in the back to look out the rear window! One of the small perks of being in coach :)
Excited for Canada! I would love to see you guys do a Japan sleeper train. Those ones look really cool and clean.
So happy you guys are going to see Eamon &Bec at such challenging times. The support and laughter they need right now. Also so excited to see you take the train through Canada 🇨🇦
Follow Eamon & Bec on their RUclips channel
Same!
They seem to be in huge rush taking a train and filming it to see their good friends in need of comfort.
Yup, seems very genuine to me.
@@BarnaliD better than not being there at all, and got to remember they are still working. Two birds with one stone don’t see the problem.
My heart when you said you were going to see Eamon and Bec. Love this friendship and love you guys! Enjoy the train across Canada ❄️🇨🇦
4:00 when you mentioned you were going to visit Eamon and Beck because they're going through a hard time, I nearly cried. It's so nice to see you guys check in on them because I wish I could and you're doing it for me! Wholesome stuff!
same!!!!! Please give Bec (& our sweet Eamon) tons of hugs and kisses from all of us. 😘😘
I think it’s nice how these two always go on adventures together and enjoy it while no one offers to go on adventures with me.
Let’s go in an adventure! We’re both in the same boat😂 nobody wants to travel with me either
I was thinking the same thing! I love how they travel and explore so many beautiful places. I’m retired and would love to do this but my sweetie is a workaholic and a homebody😢. I’m ready to start solo traveling or join a travel group at this point!
This makes me want to do a big train trip! I wish train travel was more prevalent in the US it's so great!
.
Not on amtrak you don't if there is ever an emergency they will dump you in the first town they get to and say Goodluck getting home.

when I clicked on this video, it reminds me of the train you took across Ukraine. It hits different now…Ukraine will always be in my heart 🇺🇦
So so so Sad , Prayers to all the people, Families & children in Ukraine , trying to save their lives so so horrible & uncalled for!!!!

So much emotion in this video..... As soon as Nate mentioned Beck I lost it! You are both wonderful people. Thank you for these videos!!
Nate and Kara, it is so considerate of you to visit your friends when they're going through such a tumultuous time. So happy to see your friendship :)
I’m so sorry but I thought you wrote TUMOROUS.
I know this is the least appropriate time but lol 😂
25:15 omg when Nate said "welcome to the US, everyone's so friendly" with sarcasm 😂
I love your guys' videos so much, and it's so kind how you guys are going to Canada to support Eamon and Bec with their challenging journey! 💗
The “seattle freeze” is real 😂
Oh man this makes we want to take a train trip! Excited to see the Canadian experience!
I'm so excited to see the Canadian trip! It's on my travel wish list! ♥️
Come to the North Pole area some time. 🙏🙏❄❄
This is my vlog ruclips.net/video/F1-tueInoN0/видео.html
For some reason, it's more expensive than the American one and the scenery is fairly similar unlike the US, though I suppose it's more modern since it's newer and the food & service is probs better. I really wanted to go but it was way too expensive.
Same!!!
@@SuperCOCOPANDA things are alot more expensive over here in Canada, unfortunately lol. Still love how beautiful you country is though 😊
“Make sure you have all your personal items-keys, wallet, phone…children.” 🤣 I can’t wait to see you guys get to Toronto!
I laughed at that too!
I seriously backed the video up, because I had to do a double take. 😂
Yes, that made me laugh out loud.
Makes sense, kids often wander about on their own and if you have multiple of them there is a chance of loosing track of one.
Yes but I rather the Accessiable bedroom on VII cars, its the largest room ever. I love that room and its so comfortable for one person
literally so obsessed with the overnight train videos 😭❤️
Love that you are going to Canada to support Eamon and Bec! Now you have me thinking of taking my 13 year old down the California coastline via Amtrak!
You guys have no idea how much better you make all of our weekends!♥️♥️♥️
Give E and B a virtual hug from us xo
You guys should definitely do more long distance train journey videos. Lots of rail fans/enthusiasts like myself enjoy these videos a lot.
I have recently been rewatching your old train videos, I’m so excited for this!
Train across Canada is supposed to be beautiful! On my bucket list. And awesome to hear you're visiting Eamon & Bec! They need the positivity you guys bring...with all they are going through they still remain positive.
💜
Kara's 'eh' at the end 😂 as a Canadian, I laughed and appreciated the humor of it.
Love seeing you back on the train sleepers! This is what got me hooked on following you guys to begin with. Sweet nostalgia 🥰 Safe travels.
I love that the camera was on Kara when you mentioned the view being the second most beautiful as if she were the first HOW ROMANTIC
So excited to hear you're heading to see Eamon & Bec. Much love to you all. Plus all the positive vibes and healing juju to Bec. 💗
Why duct tape?
@@foodforthesoul4936 Duct tape to use as gaffers tape for charging cords, or help with rattling doors in rooms. Just all around handy to have
Kara, i just wanted to say that your zest and enthusiasm for life are so infectious and i really thank you for it.
Love, hugs, & safe travels.!
my day was going horrbile until i saw you in my subscription box, never a bad video from kara and nate!
Wow! We've lived in California for so long and we've never done this. Definitely need to add this to our bucket list!
“Your cell phone, your car keys, your wallet, your CHILDREN”😂😅
I’m so glad y’all enjoyed the train ride! My husband and l love traveling by train when we can. Hope you have great experiences all the way to Eamon & Bec. I have so enjoyed following them since you introduced us all to them last year. Give them hugs from us all and encouragement for their journey!
Hi 👋 Ellen, how are you doing?
Your videos are EXACTLY the positivity people need these days. ❤️❤️❤️
I love that! (The hundred year old cup holders)! Sounds like a great time!
This is one of my favorite channels on RUclips. Thank you guys so much! I watch you guys to relax or from curiosity. Enjoy!
I live on the west coast, and I love seeing you guys experience it with a whole new view!
Always love the content Kara and Nate! Thanks for always making my day when you post!
I’ve never clicked so fast! I love the overnight train videos and Kara’s room tours 😂🤍
Same lol
I've been feeling SO heavy. But this has made me laugh out loud and experience an escape from the world news.
@@teriannebeauchamp254 thats too bad. Nice of you to post this though, many thanks!
Yess! Y'all have been very boujie lately and done things I'll never do! I love the ones that I can imagine myself doing! 😂😂👌🏻👌🏻
Kara your too adorable when you are giving the tour. Even when talking about the negative, you’re still very positive.😊
Hi 👋 Sarah, how are you doing?
Hello from Ellington, Connecticut. Watching your train US train experience was fun. I'm so glad you're going to visit Eamon and Bec. I've always enjoyed their channel, but their recent journey has been so heartbreaking and raw. Sending all of you positive vibes. PS Can't wait for when you finally make it to Connecticut.
I got covid a few days ago and have been bingewatching all of your video's, they truly make quarantaine fly by! Lots of love from Amsterdam!
Happy birthday Kara!
Love this video : )
Hoping y'all can do some Alaska series soon ( summer time is better )
You guys would LOVE the Rocky Mountaineer in western Canada! It's very similar to the Glacier Express in that it has (in my opinion) even more windows and more luxurious. It takes you on tracks that no commercial trains can go on through the Rocky Mountains (hence the name) for the sole purpose of sight seeing . They also have what I can only describe as a balcony cart so you can be outside on a cart with only railings on the side as the train is going full speed. ruclips.net/video/WzHAGQhLfG8/видео.html
I just said a similiar comment
cool
Haven’t tried train travel. But I’m currently traveling out of the back of my suv with my pup around the country and it’s the best
glad you guys love each other makes the whole vid so romantic
I just want to say that I LOVE your videos and I have been inspired by you Kara and Nate. Keep up the amazing work both of you! GL!
So cool!💛
Love the train journeys - they look so relaxing!
Life is not to wait, but to strive and achieve. Whatever the result, favorable or unfavorable, it’s comforting that you have lived a life of your own.
