Yep, I used to use them when I worked rail construction. Gas-powered impacts, abrasive rail saws, drills and grinders also. Big and heavy, but they are true work horses that take a beating and can run all day long with just a small fuel can.
i got one, it's a great tool. got it for 8 months now, use it quite often. the only downside is there is a lot of room between the machine and the battery pack, it wears out cause of the shocks it gets when using the machine. and i know in time you have to hold the batterypack back with ur hand or it won't connect with the machine.
I'm so pleased that the perfect tool has arrived. I need to install a toothbrush holder in my bathroom and I require a suitable tool to drive the 5.5mm screws into the raw plugs that I installed many years earlier. This machine looks like it might be up to the job.
@@adaster98 Yep, corded tools are purely for hobbyists at this point, even drywallers are using battery powered screwguns that zip up sheets as fast as the corded guns.

It's fine for tracks like that where those screws come out easily from wood and light maintenance but it doesn't compare to the petrol bance for more stubborn bolts/screws. Where it fails the petrol one won't however as the guy demonstrated in the video, it is a lot easier on the back and you won't have to worry about a broken pull chord. Just dead batteries after 10 seized screws.
Fair enough it’s able to take sleeper screws out. Though ur back would be far more knackered doing bending down like that over a few length even if it is lighter compared to with the impact wrench, where u can stand up straight and work. How long would that battery last also? Not a full shift I’d imagine.
I used this exact set up tightening joint bars and it work to an extent..... still had to used the hydraulic impact to get the bars tight....definitely fits a purpose....
