There was a Canadian all female band, existing for a short time, called 'The Organ', and the only album they ever released was 'Grab That Gun', one of the greatest records in the history of post-punk...
Brendon, here's a topic for you. "People that come to a band late and INSISTING that it's their best period". This came about because another YT channel was saying The Cult was best at 'Electric/Sonic Temple', but being from the UK we saw The Cult as Southern/Death Cult and they were much better and less 'American'. How about AC/DC (pre BJ), Van Halen (pre SH), Iron Maiden (pre BD). I prefer all the 'pre' versions.
The person on the phone who said they wanted to pick up the album on Tuesday 3 times might have done that just making sure you heard it would be Tuesday. People today have a tendency to just not listen and it sounds like he's encountered a lot of that in his life.
Doesn’t make it less annoying whatever the reason. And the fact that they are projecting other’s incompetence on you is worse. But I’m glad I don’t work in retail anymore.

The whole "Looks" thing I think can be attributed to the MTV era where it was ALL about the look and not substance and those who held on had more to offer than just looking like another artist who had more talent. Nowadays its social media so its similar to that even though MTV and music videos are nowhere near what they were or important as they were, its still more about your look. I love DUA LIPA she has more to offer than most female singers, I knew she was going to be a very important artist because of the way she broke she was huge before America and still is huge as maybe America may not care as much, which is usually the test.
Brendon, well there were famous celebrities wearing rock t-shirts and you know they don’t know a anything about the band, their music, the band members, but just wore the shirt because it came fashionably hip & cool to wear it. I’ve seen 20 something’s wearing rock t’s and give the same answer. So I can understand how ‘man-splaining” came to be.
I don't mind when someone comments on a female musician / artist's appearance but I do think it should go both ways. I know there have been times when we ( I'm female ) have made a comment that a guy in heavy metal is cute and would receive comments like we don't seriously like the music. I think Kip Winger is gorgeous but I've learned I'm treated differently once I say it. Been a music fan since the mid 70s and I'm serious about my love for rock / heavy metal.
@@jasonpp1973 You didn't :) this was my thought process when they were discussing female artists and when I saw you're comment , just decided to add it here. You didn't offend me. I think I felt offended when I used to talk about how some men were attractive in metal ....Dave Lombardo and Chris Holmes comes to mind. If I said that back in the day , would get comments that kinda made fun of me. It's not happened in years but I also don't make those comments online anymore. I'm not offended when others do though and yes , I've always thought Deborah Harry was very attractive as well
They were kinda both really. I think the fairest way to put it is to say they were primarily a Blues Rock band with elements of Hair Metal who briefly flirted with that whole 80s/Hair band image. That's my take at any rate.
Christina Aguilera...THEEE complete package to me. Her voice gives me goosebumps, her moves give me heart jumps...and her looks give me.....well, let's just say, she completes me..🤣
To some degree yes which is why bands like Great White and Saigon Kick were included in the genre despite not having much in the way of the sound of it. But then Glam Metal was a wide encompassing genre much the way the NWOBHM movement was as well. If you were British and made a Metal or Hard Rock album you were considered part of it. It’s that simple with Glam Metal too.
or how about when they see your shirt and proceed to quizz you , act like they the bigger fan , the REAL fan , and you not worthy of the shirt you are wearing ? .., prick move
