    As someone who has used a Lite 2 during 48 hours of virtually non stop rain in Glen Nevis I think this is a fair and balanced review. In particular the observation about pitch management during rain. But this is certainly not a show stopper and I think it's a brilliant tent considering build quality, size and weight. Especially if you prefer a bit more breathing room in a tent.

    Cracking review that mate. The abisko lite 2 is absolutely brilliant! Such great quality and a doddle to pitch.
    The silnylon thing is what made me curious about the ultra TNT scarp. Its pitches taut and isnt affected by the weather so how you initially pitch it is exactly how it stays 😊
    Stsy safe and well,
    Adge

      Thanks for watching Adge, the tent is so easy and quick to pitch and with everything connected it is a doodle 👍 we had a scarp one and that had its issues but it’s a good tent overall and looks great 😁 thanks for watching the video pal.

      Thanks for watching Charlene 👍 defo try to be as honest as I can, just my experience with the tent 👍 I think some people on RUclips review tents and don’t mention the bad points. It’s a quality tent which we will continue using despite its faults. Happy camping, Simon 😁

    During lock down I started watching RUclips.your review of the lite 2 made me buy it as a one person.great weight strength ratio.loved this tent,unfortunately due to medical reasons I now base camp and got a bigger tent.sold the tent,sand coloured very quickly.i still miss the strength and ease of pitching the lite 2.i always had vents open and not too much condensation as a one person.cheers for your hard work and honest review.

      Thanks for watching Gary, I can pitch the tent in about 4 minutes it’s so easy especially with everything connected together. Still enjoy using it despite its issues and will probably keep it forever 👍 ATB Simon & Mark

    I currently have a tunnel tent from Berghaus and looking to upgrade.
    The problem I have is the height of tunnel tents. I’m 6’2 and was surprised at the headroom in the Abisko 2 and this could definitely put me off.
    Maybe a dome tent would be a better option!
    Good review and very informative 👍

      Thanks for watching Andy, the head height is definitely uncomfortable I’ve seen other people say the head height is good but I disagree with them. I just can’t drink a bottle of water in it. When me and Mark use it as a 2 man it’s definitely hard work because when we are both sat upright in it drinking a beer it’s a challenge 🥴 but glad you like the video, take care mate 👍

    I bought an Abisko Lite 2 a short time ago and it leaked through every seam on its first outting. It's been returned to Trekitt two weeks ago who said it had to go back to Fjallraven, I've still had no update from either and had a three day trip planned for this weekend. The tent is a great tent in every other way and is ideal for my needs, it definitely wasn't condensation because it leaked just after pitching and i actually filmed the water dripping through.

      Thanks for watching, sorry to hear about your tent. Ours is definitely condensation, I’ve checked the seams on my tent and they don’t appear to be leaking from there. Good luck with your tent 👍

    Would you recommend this for 1 man as a winter tent mate as I like tunnel tents??

    • @Twin_Peaks_Outdoors
      @Twin_Peaks_Outdoors  3 месяца назад

      Hi Bernard I would definitely recommend this as a one man tent, as it doesn’t weigh a lot and you will have plenty of room 👍

    Hey fellas. I've always loved the look of this tent but the sagging is the one thing that's always put me off. For weight though compared to Size and quality, it's super value imo.ive also got one eye on the Bonfus Duos 2p. Just waiting for the 4 season inner version and I will get rid of my other tents and just have that one. Cheers fellas!

    • @Twin_Peaks_Outdoors
      @Twin_Peaks_Outdoors  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching Martin, it’s a decent 2 person tent despite its faults and a well made product but I don’t think I’ll get a silnylon tent again but I will keep this tent because when we need a 2 person tent we can split the weight as in all fairness it’s not a bad weight for a 2p tent. Take care Martin 👍

    Did you seam seal it? For UK conditions it’s advisable if you’re not using Fjallraven’s tarp cover imo.
    I have the same set up even down to having the same sleeping pad with one thing that makes all the difference as a 6 footer, I got the Thermarest Trekker Chair to go over the pad. One thing I did do was to get a 1 x1 custom tarp made, it’s for various things (mainly as a cover for my wool blanket when it’s on the outside of my backpack when I’m out in the hot tent) but it works a treat over the main body of the tent to eliminate the sagging, Fjallraven sell a specific tarp that covers pretty much the whole tent including giving more coverage at the entrance for that exact reason but for the size and weight I’d rather just use my 1x1.
    Another great review mate, seen your other reviews and I love seeing others enjoy the Abisko Lite 2 too.

      Hi Paul thanks for watching 👍 some interesting comments to think of. To be honest I haven’t seam sealed it as ( but when the weather is better I’m going to do it ) in wet weather I’ve always checked the seams on the inside and never had an issue. But condensation is an issue like I said in the video. ATB Simon & Mark

      @@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors I don’t mean to be “that guy” but if you watch Fjallraven’s set up guide for it they tell you that the vents are an essential part of eliminating condensation and they really do work, they state that the tent isn’t meant to keep you warm but protected from the elements, warmth is down to your clothing and sleep system.
      A Kovea Cupid tent heater is the bees knees for warming the tent up in the morning, weighs very little and you’ll never have worry about condensation again. It’s not cheap though.

      @@InimitaPaul I’ve never heard of a kovea Cupid tent heater, I’m going to check that out. I always have the vents open even in cold weather especially at night while sleeping. Great comments Paul 👍
