Saw them in Jan 85 San Antonio…..they were louder than every metal band I had seen to that point…Saxon, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Sammy Hagar, Kiss, none of the them were as loud as these guys.
So long ago but I can remember it like yesterday. Sydney Australia was the venue. What a night ! Perfect Strangers tour was fantastic, the band was load it blew the Entertainment Centres roof off. A night to remember. What memories....
It must have been awesome to get the news that Deep Purple were getting back together after 8 years, and then being able to see them live! And to think that, early on that same 1984, Blackmore and Glover were touring with Rainbow, Paice was with Gary Moore, Lord was with Whitesnake, and Gillan was touring as the lead singer for Black Sabbath!

I saw this concert in Brisbane Australia - destiny brought them together . I remember IG saying "the next song will be sung in Swahili" . It was so loud no-one could tell if it was or wasn't lol.

Saw this tour in 85 at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. They were firing on all cylinders that night. Eight cylinders all mine, you might say. Great show that I will remember the rest of my life.
For all the faults the fallings out and the nonsense that went on . Deep purple were /was/are the greatest rock band on the planet . They wrote the greatest riff ever . All because of "some stupid with a flare gun " i saw them at knebworth best gig ever for me
Always 🤷♀️years not so discord with Blackmore, coming, get away, return... with Purple Band... Mr.KING for FIRED Performers 👎Rainbow, Purple, Rainbow, Purple... that is Blackmore, Man no smile and Bad with other, general 🤷♀️🎶

Pefect strangers tour was hands down the best concert I’ve been to. Richfield coliseum, Richfield Ohio back in the 80’s
