Why isn't Philly on the list? The city where everyone is a sports fan and they either love their team or criticize them for their poor performances. That is what a sports city does! TPS, how could you forget Philly? They won a Super Bowl 5 years ago, The Flyers made it to the playoffs twice in 2017 and in 2020 and in 2020 they reached the Quarterfinals against the Rangers, and the Phillies were close to making the playoffs under Girardi but since his firing they look like a threat especially when Harper returns to the lineup which Philly media reports is today, and last but not least Sixers are always contenders with Harden, Embiid, Maxey, Harris, and Thybulle as their big 5. New York is one of the good cities with the exception of the NFL teams the Yankees are doing amazing this year and the Mets are 1st in the nl east. The islanders are decent and the NY rangers got too the eastern conference finals the Knicks are rebuilding and might make playoffs in 22-23 season and the nets have amazing superstars and could win a championship in a few years
Atlanta also won the MLS Cup in 2018. It also won the NLL (Lacrosse) Championship in 2018, I think. Only one team in a league can be the champion every year.
The frustrating thing about the Rockies is that they are a small market franchise like the Rays, but the ownership doesn’t seem to care about winning, as evidenced by the promotion of two different “yes men” to GM since the 2007 WS run and the 2009 season where they won 90 games. They had some promise in 2017-18, but gave most of a superstar infield away in the past four seasons. I feel nothing.
If this is based on recent history then how is Washington worst? They have 2 championships in 2 different leagues in the past 4 years. I think if you have a championship in 1 league in the past 5 years you're not a bad sports city. If you said that this list would be based off of current situation then it would make sense, but you said "recent history" and brought up the entirety of the 21st century smh
If you can't hold on to a major sports team (Thrashers) because you didn't support them enough, then I don't think you deserve to be called a top sports city.
@@johnturner7952 Washington has the worst NFL attendance, lackluster MLB attendance. It is really only strong in hockey attendance. It had the highest NHL attendance.
@@ranchosdelnorte The Thrashers didn't leave on account of a lack of fan support. They left because the owners were a group of investors who bought them because the team was part of a package deal with the Hawks, which is what they wanted. They sabotaged the team and made it impossible for anyone to keep the team in Atlanta with a new owner. The Flames leaving also had nothing to do with fan attendance. Atlanta is first in MLS attendance, fourth MLB attendance, twelfth in NFL attendance, and NBA, though attendance isn't the best, there isn't much difference in attendance between the top and bottom in attendance.
Denver was a big stretch. Broncos will be competing for 3rd in the afc west, the rockies are buns, nuggets are good but never quite there and the avs did what they could to win a championship.

How is phoenix one of the worst, they had the best record in nba by far, the cardinals had the best record for a while, and sure they both choked, but they aren’t some of the worst teams, if your talking about 21st century success, phoenix has had some great times of success
New York is one of the good cities with the exception of the NFL teams the Yankees are doing amazing this year and the Mets are 1st in the nl east. The islanders are decent and the NY rangers got too the eastern conference finals the Knicks are rebuilding and might make playoffs in 22-23 season and the nets have amazing superstars and could win a championship in a few years
If Atlanta hadn’t won a World Series it would have to be one of the worst
Atlanta also won the MLS Cup in 2018. It also won the NLL (Lacrosse) Championship in 2018, I think.
Only one team in a league can be the champion every year.
The frustrating thing about the Rockies is that they are a small market franchise like the Rays, but the ownership doesn’t seem to care about winning, as evidenced by the promotion of two different “yes men” to GM since the 2007 WS run and the 2009 season where they won 90 games. They had some promise in 2017-18, but gave most of a superstar infield away in the past four seasons. I feel nothing.
Where's Seattle
I love chicago no matter what
If this is based on recent history then how is Washington worst? They have 2 championships in 2 different leagues in the past 4 years. I think if you have a championship in 1 league in the past 5 years you're not a bad sports city. If you said that this list would be based off of current situation then it would make sense, but you said "recent history" and brought up the entirety of the 21st century smh
They hate Dan Snyder so they are biased against Washington
Here is why they are one of the worst. "The Culture is actually Damn Good."
Dude Outside of the Capitals, Washington has nothing else. The Wizards are nothing, the Nationals were a one off, and the Commanders….need I say more
Chicago Bulls are NBA tender for champship
Not even going to pick milwaukee/green bay
Green Bay/Milwaukee pretty good, at least we are consistent winners and we have a championship for basketball
Not 1 city tho
@@netswrld they did Bay area though that ain't one city either
True but you can argue they right across the bridge, ya aren't that close so it doesn't count
Technically LA has 8 teams in the 4 major sports… you forgot the Anaheim Ducks
Damn as someone who is from Michigan I know this video will be hard to watch 😂 glad I live in phoenix now we doing better here
Detroit vs. Everybody
Had the Hawks won the 2021 NBA Finals, would Atlanta be a top 5 sports city?
I would absolutely think so. But it would've been very shocking if the Hawks won it all last year.
@@rushrush1209 I was also kind of surprised that Washington DC was listed as a worst sports city
I’m just glad to see Tampa on here
Minnesota, well at least we have fishing in one of the 11,000 lakes.
The Anaheim Ducks are in Los Angeles too, especially if you’re including the joke ass Angels
Finally nice to see denver getting credit except for the rockies ... but still such a great time
Denver was a big stretch. Broncos will be competing for 3rd in the afc west, the rockies are buns, nuggets are good but never quite there and the avs did what they could to win a championship.
You’re missing the point of the video … but so is TPS… TPS videos are always wrong
I know not a lot of people watch these other sports as much but the Mammoth,Rapids, Denver Pioneers also have won championships. That does count for something.
what? AVS blowed through the NHL, broncos 2nd in the west, nuggets are a better nba team then most. rockies are trash but still.
Who would you put above them?
@@thegreenninja920 who is a better sports city than Denver? Pittsburg. Houston. Kansas City and St Louis.
I'm near LA, and I can guarantee that half the "LA" fans are bandwagon. Team flags go up when they're winning
Imagine the Vikings winning the super bowl 😂
My friend is a Vikings fan! I always feel so bad for him when they get eliminated
Did he just say “Sohei Ohtani”??????
2:00 I love how when talking about Detroit's sport success there's literally not one remotely positive thing to say about the Lions lmao. For every Pistons finals appearance in the 2000's, the Lions have an 0-16 season and a Dan Orlovsky untouched safety. I'm a Packers fan and I honestly I feel bad for the Lions. They actually play pretty well for about a half when we play before shitting the bed and looking like a high school JV team. Maybe this ysl
Lions actually have a bright future for once though , with a change at getting Bryce young or C.J Stroud. Also, they have a team this year that has a sneaky shot at making the playoffs as a lower seed .
@@matth7260 Nah, the NFC has too man playoff caliber teams, not to mention the Packers and Vikings will be much more competitive than they will be. I'd bet my left nut they don't even finish with a winning record :/
Feel like Lions sacrificed themselves so the other 3 sports teams could flourish in the 2000s. Lions came close to winning some playoff games in the 2010s which wouldve helped their look but it is what it is.
@@hihunter7 idk man , but you can’t deny they have a bright future within the next 4-5 years
1 year later and the Lions made it to the NFC Championship game. Philadelphia has a top football, baseball and basketball team, but doesn't get mentioned among the best despite the Phillies getting to the World Series a couple months before the Eagles got to the Super Bowl.
Where is the mammoths NLL
What about St.Louis we won the Stanley and the World Series and we had an NFL team who won a Super Bowl
Lol did you guys forget about the Ducks? The hockey team that plays across the street from the Angels?
Anaheim doesn’t have any other big 4 sport teams and is different than LA
@@fighterlifk not in this context. It's part of the LA market.
Technically, Tampa Bay isn't a "city" 😉
How is Tampa Bay, Florida not a city?
@@MrCtal19 Because it's not a city, it's a region. "Tampa", Florida is the name of the city.
@@MrCtal19 There is no city of 'Tampa Bay, FL'. Tampa Bay is an area consisting of cities such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, etc. It's the numerous cities that surround the body of water 'Tampa Bay'.
Forgot the ducks
They won it in 2007!

Bostons best
All 4 major sports teams are top 5 in BOTH win percentage and championships all time
0:38 Los Angeles, California will also host the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Not to mention that Denver’s Colorado mammoth are coming off a 2022 indoor lacrosse championship
We’re is New York I am from there
Yankees and Mets are good
Knicks are the Knicks
Nets are good but fragile
Jets have a bright future and the Giants are miserable
How do you not mention Philly, Eagles in Superbowl, Phillies same year in World Series, Sixers in Playoffs.
