Couldn't find my Skoda Superb in an unfamiliar car park in Scotland, so I was wandering around repeatedly pressing the unlock button to get the lights to flash so I could find the car. This caused the sync of the encryption on the key to fall out of sync with the car so when I did eventually find it, the key wouldn't unlock it. I had the same experience as you with a bad ten minutes spent trying to find the keyhole to unlock it manually. Ended up googling it and figured out the stupid plastic cover deal and finally got access to the car. Luckily I didn't have to resort to the AA but you're not alone in this experience! It was extra stressful as we were using the car as a camper for the first time ever and were 400 miles from home! I've enjoyed your Octavia conversion series and you've given me some great ideas and inspiration, so thank you for your videos.
Searching for something, I do have to admit, if you would have searched the internet for how to open octavia 3 with no battery you would have found the emergency door lock, and while we are in England it should be on the passenger side, hopefully, they didn't charge you 100 pounds?

I've just bought an Octavia, so that is really useful to know! Thanks for posting that.
Thanks! I'm looking at getting an Octavia scout. Good to know how to find the external keyhole! Also have a ResQme on my keychain too, you never know.
