I loved the Trident Trikes Odyssey. Perhaps someday I'll actually be able to purchase one. It would have been nice to see the process of folding and unfolding the Odyssey. Best wishes. David D. 🖖
Thanks! We'll be back at Recumbent Cycle-Con in October for lots more interviews and updates from all the industry leaders. Look for that video this fall!
We love traveling to Germersheim for Spezi and are getting pretty excited to see what's new again this year. Not quite as big but Recumbent Cycle-Con is every October. It actually started in California and will be in Nashville this year. You should come!
Gary Solomon hi gary, thank you so much for your valuable tip. I will check it out but Tennessee it's quite far... if you go more often to Germany you should see also the Euro bike and the beautiful bavaria for riding bikes there.... have a good time!
We actually will be touring on trikes after the show this year. We're riding mostly along the Rhine through Strasburg down to Basel and over to Lake Konstanz. Can't wait!
Gary Solomon i am from the state palatinate in where germersheim is. We have a lot of wonderful events like wine fests, and castle-(ruin) events. I always love to share what my old living area has to offer. If you want details for fantastic events around there let me know. Tarabas05@aol.com
Great show Gary👍 I have to say I love the bloopers ESPECIALLY the couple of takes of getting in and out of the white velomobile at the end😧😂... the creme de la creme has to be you trying to get out at the end, I was in stitches🤣
thanks for doing this fantastic professional report! there didn't use to be video material of this quaility available from SPEZI that I know of. I saw you guys were there again yesterday, so I'm much looking forward to seeing another one!
Great that you come all the way from the USA to do a special report. Hope to see you guys next year also. Promoting these kind of bikes is great! Keep up the good work! Salut! HansNL
A fantastic report, really enjoyed it and learnt a lot about different kinds of bents; well done and thanks to all concerned for all your hard work in producing this report
24:25... How would they ask if the velomobile can float, can be used underwater, can carry more than half metric ton and still weigh less then 45kg, have full lighting system and airconditioning powered by energy recuperated from braking, a mini refrigerator, a shower with heated water integrated in the frame, and many more systems than all those got?
great interviews and coverage, but you need to up your camera game. Change the angles a little more, more close-ups on the bikes. You could get a tripod camera and another camera handheld for the close-ups that way you can do it with only 2 people. You would need more time to edit though.
Thanks for watching Daniel. Of course another camera, tripod, etc. would have been nice. The issue was mostly dealing with packing, hauling and traveling from the US. Oh, and the fact that I only have my one 6 year old camera😏 You see this isn't a low budget operation. It's pretty much a no budget operation. Luckily, Lars brought his tripod along or I would've had to haul mine with me all over Germany. So I really do appreciate and agree with your suggestions but we're going to have to continue doing the best we can with what we've got for now.
+Gary Solomon a cheap action camera would do the trick and fit in one's pocket. I use a 70 USD Xiaomi Yi with a 10 USD pack with 2 extra batteries. only thing left is a micro SD. get a 2 dollar monopod and you have a 2 camera setup. if you have 100 USD to spare thats one way to go. or maybe borrow one from a friend.
Daniel Souza I actually did bring my Sony Action Cam with me but never used it. There just was no time. We had to get in and set up the interview and shot. We had crowd control problems with thousands of folks ready to walk right into our shot. We sure would have had more problems with protecting two shots. We had just two days and had to do this 15-20 times each day. My overriding plan was to get decent audio (which I think came out well) and the best video we could under the circumstances. We are not professional broadcast journalists. Just a "ragtag" foursome of rank amateurs trying to cover recumbent events in a watchable way. Again, I do appreciate your suggestions, Daniel. Next time I'm going to bring you with me ;^)
Sometimes it isn't that your knees make you want to sit higher. Are you more visible on the road if you sit higher, and with pedelec the wind resistance is not such an issue.

Gary, you did a great job showing all these bikes and trikes and velos and providing info from the makers. Nice work.
Thanks! We'll be back at Recumbent Cycle-Con in October for lots more interviews and updates from all the industry leaders. Look for that video this fall!
Thx so much for the vid.i lived 5 miles away back then and went every year there. Greetings from California,we need something similar here!!_

I know I do;^) I'm glad you do, too, goodmuzikfan! Thanks for watching...
We need a Spezi here in the states badly.
Mark Gailmor you are aware of Recumbent Cycle-Con, right?
Does anyone make a reverse trike that is electric powered, front wheel drive & has independent front suspension with inboard shocks?
Something like this only motorized? cruzbike.com/trike

10:55.... approx 6000 Euros... taken... a break instead for coffee and changing mind! Sorry!
cool
Thanks for watching, Frank!
I really want to reach out and put your hat on straight
I wish you could've 😏
Need a very laidback wallet for all that stuff.

everything for trikes/velomobiles, nothing for bikes.
