There's a church opposite the cemetery where the twins were let out of prison (with guards) to attend their mothers funeral in 1982. The news footage is on youtube.......excellent vid btw, I never knew the bullet holes were still visible in the ceiling!

Great First video. Well paced and with enough respect for the departed. I liked seeing the pub. Often wondered what it was like inside.

My dads side of the family lived in the east end for all there life, I've heard many stories about what life was like back then. However what has always stood out to me were the stories of the Krays. My great nan used to baby sit them when she was in her 30s and my grandad used to go into The Carpenters Arms with his mates, they were skint so the Krays used to buy them drinks for free. Alot of people view them as evil, and don't get me wrong they were bloodthristy and vicious to anyone who wronged them. My grandad told me they were nice to good people, but absoute tyrants to anyone that opposed them. They never toutched women or children either.

I'm sure that road, the A107 next to the pub wasn't there at 8:27 in the 1960's if you look at old photos. ... There wasn't a gap between it - and the White Hart ? ... I don't know why, as the road may have taken a slightly different route back then.

Great video. I visited the pub a few years ago. Could you do a video about Ruth Ellis? A fascinating case. Or maybe the locations about the Profumo Affair?

Ronnie and Ian Barrie came in the door on the left if you are outside in Whitechapel Rd, Walked along the bar to the corner and shot GC but that bar was about a foot further out towards the chairs and its a different bar. Also when IB was arrested he had kept the gun to prove it was not fired.. Into the ceiling. There was no Jukebox it was a record player..

When my Nan was young she use to drink at this pub, she was a pure londoner and I can recall her telling me she use to see the Krays, I think she also lived very close to where Charlie Chaplin once lived too.

The Krays lived about 1/2 mile from the Blind Beggar just on the north side of the railway. It must have been very noisy.

Charlie Chaplin also lived in Rillington Place where John Christie would go on to murder his victims

I did yesterday with my fiance and it was the most bizarre eery drink I've ever had . The staff are lovely but the bullet holes are still there now and without knowing we sat literally behind where George Cornell was killed which we found out afterwards .

I'd love to put a virtually invisible camera on one of those trees. To see what kind of losers visit them with flowers, it should not be illegal. Mysterious people visit Edgar Allen Poe's grave routinely dressed in all black to leave his favorite wine on his grave since his burial. We already know who drinks the wine.

frances krays grave writing seems odd ? its rather got some words missing or the person who did the engraving was boss eyed
