Thank you so much- at times it's hard to stay positive (there were a few points that those relentless bugs nearly had me in tears), but I try to remember that this is the thing I most want to be doing, and I feel lucky and grateful that I get to walk as much as I do :)
Thoroughly enjoying your VDLP/Sanabres Camino, Nadine. Your spirit is inspiring, and at a time of the year when the number of fresh Camino videos on youtube are getting fewer and far between, I'm glad to see yours and to walk vicariously alongside you. Cheers!
Oooh an episode with a flashback sequence! I love those, "Hey, I've been here before!" moments. Looks like well-fed and caffeinated made for a good day. Cheers and adventure on!
That was quite the midday meal! So interesting to intersect with a path from the past. Happens to me when I'm hiking, and all of a sudden you are taken back to that time and place.
I remember watching the “deja vu” video a while back and picked out the yellow arrow on the other side of the street right before you pointed it out. Funny how that happens !
The monastery looks really good. I wanted to visit it, but it was closed for renovations along with the next Albergue. Had to walk about 40k, than my usual 20k. Not the greatest planning.
Well, that was a rather nice déjà vu for you. Most of the time we're all left feeling like what-the-heck is happening, but you had it sussed immediately.
Nearing the end is always exciting, but also bittersweet for me. I'm going too miss sharing this journey with everyone! (luckily, I always seem to be in the process of planning my next walk)
I walked in late July/early August this past summer! My entire walk ended up being 25 days: starting in Bayonne on the Camino Baztan, to Pamplona (5 days), then to Logrono (4 days), then a train to Salamanca where I walked for 16 days to Santiago :)
Yes, I usually do! Or, at least I know that I have the time to walk several routes (or pieces of routes).... and I usually have researched several possibilities before I start off. I always know where I'm going to begin, but sometimes I switch things up a bit as I'm walking. In this case, I wasn't positive that I was going to hop over to the Via de la Plata (I almost went to Porto to walk the Portuguese Central, a route I haven't done yet!)
Ha! When I've been walking this long, all I can think about is food!! (especially on a route where there aren't as many bars/restaurants... so when I do find food, it's cause for a celebration!)
Hi Nadine! Question for you. I drink coffee every morning, but only decaf. I'm addicted to the warm beverage, but caffeine is not my friend. Wondering if decaf is even a thing over there. Thanks!
I love the way your handle and laugh about all kind of setbacks on your all of your walks; your positive attitude and behavior is an inspiration.

I'm glad that I've been able to keep these videos going, it's always so special to get to share my experiences. Thanks for walking along with me!

Very nice!
Food and coffee... sometimes (often-times), that makes all the difference :)
Good that you looked back when leaving the monastery nice capture
I'm glad I did too, it was a beautiful, peaceful view!
Your morning view of the Monestary is so lovely and peaceful.
It really was! It gave me such an appreciation for the location, being able to look back and see it below me as I walked.
I remember that Invierno video where you intersected the Sanabres. I loved the flashback clips! Oh, and remember Nescafé = “no es café”
Hahaha, I've actually never seen that joke about Nescafé, but now I'm never going to forget it!

It was really a delicious meal (I was certainly hungry!)
The bread in Spain and Portugal is fantastic! And of course coffee is a necessity! Haha! Thanks for the video!
Yes, often you can find really good bread! I could have eaten three times as much of that toast, it was so good!
You are doing awesome Nadine. I am so excited for you as you are approaching Santiago. Buen Camino👍
Thank you!!
Your flashback gave me the flashback too... Ah, good times. LOL.
Haha, I loved being back in that spot and remembering it so perfectly!
I remember watching the “deja vu” video a while back and picked out the yellow arrow on the other side of the street right before you pointed it out. Funny how that happens !
Haha, I think as pilgrims, our eyes are trained to find those yellow arrows!
The monastery looks really good. I wanted to visit it, but it was closed for renovations along with the next Albergue. Had to walk about 40k, than my usual 20k. Not the greatest planning.
Oof, 40km when you'd only planned on 20 is rough. And I'm sorry that you weren't able to see the monastery... it's a reason to go back!
Well, that was a rather nice déjà vu for you. Most of the time we're all left feeling like what-the-heck is happening, but you had it sussed immediately.
Hahaha, you're right this time I figure it out pretty quickly! (which is not always the case...)
I am getting excited too that you are about to reach the end of this journey but I will also miss ‘walking’ with you.

Caffeine is the best camino performance enhancing drug!
It sure works for me on the Camino!
You may have answered this earlier in this series but what time of year is this video? And how long did you walk this time?
Great video again. 😊

@@NadineWalks thank you! I assume that you plan out the hopping from one Camino to the other before you go?

Wonderful as usual....love your cheerfulness Miki Goldie
Thank you so much! I tend to be cheerful by nature, but even more so when I'm on the Camino :)
Allways starving Nadine hahahahahah. Pilgrim need a lot of calories every day, also I enjoy lots follow your videos. Buen Camino.

Yes, you can definitely find decaf coffee, in every bar :)
Yay! Thank goodness!@@NadineWalks
Here is a deep question. Is Nadine walking towards something or away from something?
On the Camino, as per life, the journey is the destination.
Sometimes I spend too much time thinking about that, and then in the end realize that, really, I'm just walking. And that the walking is the answer.
