They would really benefit by making their paid stuff all bunched together in one blend file per product set with all the transparency pre-set and everything marked as assets. Seems like a no-brainer. Great video. Thanks for the heads-up.
It definitely helps! Thank a lot for your work. I really love the way you teach. Your tutorials are not fast and you are detailed indeed. I'm learning a lot from you.
Looks like a good resource. Fortunately, I read the comments first. This is windows only. Also, the video mentions the need to provide an email address. What I saw on the checkout is that full name, physical address, and phone number are also required.
Hello Grant Abbitt sir! Thanks for uploading this video for us. I have a request. Please start making realistic environment modeling with the characters. Your way of teaching is outclass. Keep up this work. And much love and respect from your student.
About the ART STAR PROGRAM ... I submitted my proposal way back when the program was first announced. I'm hoping that I get part of the grant. All I asked for was a new laptop, since my old laptop cannot run Blender. Hope I get it so I can start learning Blender :) Subscribed.
I have a question how do u animate trees (I've seen some tutorials using blend add-on for moving the branches But it is not satisfying ) or if is that possible to use quixel tree animations in blender?
Show people how to make game-ready; modular, semi-procedural and even procedural tree mesh and materials?! Please! Not just for my personal understanding on Blender/ue4 use but I have found most of the art students and colleagues I have worked with struggle most with the transition from "General rendering of artwork" to understanding the process of making game ready environment art. Thanks again!
I'm on a Mac and the download when clicked says 'there is no application set to open the document''. I've downloaded materials and models before no problem...the downloaded files end with a '.7z' so I am at a loss to figure it out....
Just did some research....this is a WINDOWS ONLY download. It requires a '7-zip' application which is a Windows only, not ios, application. Im saving up for a new PC but until then I'm using my Mac. Thanks for the video!
Is there no solution? I need it badly to submit my graduation projects at the university and I cannot buy anything. I hope you can help me or provide links to those files if possible. I would be grateful to you.
I am one of the beginners and I love you and the effort you put in However, when I download this free library, I get only one file that contains tree bodies without any images, and when importing it into Blender, it is purple. Can you help me? I would be grateful. No, I am just a university student and I cannot buy other things.
@@grabbitt 🥺 I’m sure it’s from the update. I’m currently using blender 3.3. Is there anyway you could mailed me your old version of maxtree lemme try if that’ll work? It’s strange how mine came with no png files after update.
@@erykkowal8911 well yes, I did find a solution. the maps to the materials weren't part of the zip download and you'll have to download it from the exact page you download the object file and add the two of the folders(MT_PM_V060_Blender_CyclesEevee and MT_PM_V060_Maps) in a single folder. so when you bring in a tree object to your scene, you just goto file - external data - missing files. and you're done! problem fix.
I don't remember whether or not I've seen this somewhere, but is there some kind of randomizer thing that creates unique trees with different branch configurations, etc.?
Hello, I wanted to download the tree pack that you offer on MaxTree by the link, this one is no longer valid. Would you have a solution? thank you for your work.
I am only using it to quickly bring in hdri's at the moment it is a bit of a pain if i'm honest but if i had built up a material library it would be useful
@@grabbitt I just don't wanna double my file size by copying stuff to put in an assets folder. I have never found Appending difficult or thought to myself, "If only there was an easier way to do this." But the HDRI idea is a good 1 I never thought of, so thanks for that.
Time waste. files are heavy, tree is 1.5M polys, what are we supposed to do with this ? It's not even working well. + they ask for personnal data to get the pack.
Really like how people fool other people just to get money, nice try, but thanks I won't download it, because its NOT free!! it shows, the prices are varying from 90 dollar to over 1.000 dollars...
If they want your email, it's not free. It would be better to say something like the trees are "free of charge." But just plain "free" means you don't have to give them anything in exchange, not even your email address.
P.S. I love your videos! I just wish people would throw a little bone to the open source world, and remind everyone that open source is *more* than just "free of charge".
Right when I was looking for some free tree models and vegetation :D Grant Abitt never disappoints :D

i downloaded the same pack but texture files are missing
Free! Free is good.....because I'm cheap! 😂

not sure why but once I drop a model into my scene it's all purple. Any fixes for this?
Thanks! I could use a few trees ;)
this is awesome, imagine what a timesafer for free! whoop whoop!!!!
Thanks for sharing! Big thumbs up! 👏👍
Did you go in each blend file and Mark each of them as asset 😂, such a painful process, but quality of trees is very high, good video

Thanks!
i got a problem, when i open the files the mesh is fine but the textures are pink
oh, the textures where separate to download and link, my bad eheh
Bro, I can't seem to find the link for the textres. Can you help me out.
Does everyone but me know what to do with these Gigabytes of files? Where are they going exactly?
i want to learn how to make them
For some reasons after downloading I had no .png file attached to it.

How do I like import the trees once I've downloaded th em
File append
how to fix the texture turning pink
It depends on what do you mean with "FREE".
To my disappointment, it says: "Free: 1" on a total count of about one hundred.
what's the license? can I use it for commercial purpose?
I believe so but you can't sell them. Best to check the license for yourself though
Is there a tutorial on how to make these exact trees?
It's extremely hard
Website doesn't work!
Let's goooo
Me with my rtx 3060 Ryzen 5 5600x
Blender: "we don't render fast here"
I don't use the asset library, seems more trouble than it is worth. I'm ok with still just appending.

Yes they are hereby but good for architecture scenes with single rendered image
why my trees are purple??
Missing textures
@@grabbitt thanks for the reply but Im pretty new to Blender.
Is this because I didn't download the file completely or do I need some special addons?
@burenda6564 very tricky to say. You need to make sure your texture node is hooked up in the shader editor
thx man i was looking for good trees...blenders build in add on is crap
