Think it could be time for a new board. I have the standard Blade 6 and it's a beast. I wasn't a huge fan of the Blade 5 but the 6 is a great return to form for Winmau.
Good show. Not long taken up darts,my average could be 40 or 57,i have hit two 180's but at times can take 15 darts on a double. My question is, or maybe a video request is. How beat up do the flights have to be to effect the throw/aim/accuracy etc? or when should i replace my flights?
Nice one Edgar 😎 A question though... Once you reach a certain standard at darts it looks like you can almost throw anything really well... So how do you get to the point where you have settled on a set up? For instance how does MVG settle of 21.5g, not 21 and not 22?
I just started but my plan is to always kinda experiment on the side. I saw a Phil Taylor clip and he said he use to sit there with scissors cutting up his flights trying to figure it out.
@@austinroberts3876 Ive been playing for around 2 years and have been trying to buy and try darts of all different shapes and sizes. I have a fair idea on what shape/thickness and grip style I prefer. But I dont get how you choose a dart weight. If I practise with 26g darts I can throw them as well as 24g or 22g. How do pro's like Ryan Searle/Steve Bunting end up on a weight as far out as 32g/12g or MVG on 21.5g? If I was to try my favourite darts in every weight surely it would just depend how long I had practised with any given weight?
@@scottyc6341 I feel you. Maybe you like a few darts equally. I would just take your best guess at what's your match darts are, and make sure you're still thinking about it on the side a little and trying new shit when you think about it. That's my plan at least, mainly throw one dart but about ten percent of the time I'll experiment with what I think would feel good if anything. I've been skateboarding for fifteen years and have done that the whole time.. sizes of boards etc have probably changed about eight times. Half of them just back to previous sizes. I think it's part of the game though, making the decision to go with the new dart for a while or deciding you don't like it. To me just part of the game, it might pay off it might not. I'm a super beginner so that's my best guess and what my plan is at least. Maybe someone will jump in that knows a little more. I think as long as we're throwing a lot of darts and practicing we'll be getting better. P.s. about the half gram sizes and mvg. I have a similar experience skateboarding. Skateboards go in quarter inch increments for the most part, this is the width. I use to skate an 8 inch board, a lot of people were riding 8.25s at the time and I tried one out. It was too heavy for me. Even though the quarter inch increments are most common, weirder sizes do exist. I had a chance to try out an 8.1, and found the extra tenth of an inch to be pretty comfortable.. However it wasn't enough to make the board feel heavy I still had it under control. So for a good year my size was 8.1. It just happened naturally and overall didn't make a ton of different anyway I was the same skater either way. Maybe it's similar with mvg throwing 21.5. I'm still on my first set of darts. 23g targets, they're hella skinny and short. Soon I'm gonna buy some stems and flights and try a bunch of shit.
Peter Wright's next darts probably 😂 Great video and possible small darts world championships to look forward to!
Loved Thornton's celebration on the double 18
Fun vid. The Edgar performing with the micro darts.
Crazy can hardly hold them but got them in
love the fun competition videos. you should do a series where you fix Thornton's throw. Instructional series...
Did you ever do a video on the effect it dart weight distribution? Front, middle, rear bias and even distribution?
You'd have beat Alan Warriner little in the seniors with those darts
Game winning reactions was hilarious 🤣😂🤙🎯

wdym lol, blade 5 is about as good as it gets
@@ultimpower9350 well visually the blade 6 is better

Maybe should use those tiny darts instead of your normal darts Matt lol 😂 that was a great video

I know what you mean. At what point to you stop experimenting. You never really know if something better is out there.

Zac really needs to sort that dropping elbow out before he throws
Tell me something I don’t know haha
I feel Zac would be so much better if he could stop that elbow drop, he would make The Rock proud with that🥑
KP Circus Tavern….hand & glove?! 😀👍🏿
Awesome! Where else can you see such research outside of academia? 100 gram next?
Great video 👍👍 I’ve got a set that are smaller than ones in video and are 1.6 grams granted I did make them myself 😂
Nice, should change the dartboard ;-). Wich flights are those?
Loxley kites, there’s always a Dave about the board 🤣
@@Edgartvdarts I meant the flights you & Zachary used in the match against eachothers 😉
Is Thornton darts related to you?
I bet i could take atleast 1 leg out of a best of 9 game using the 6g darts against Edgar using his normal darts.
Have just started playing. Where can i play, not a boozer man so bit stuck
Depends on age really
Couldn't just let zac win lol. You had tod have another leg lol
So if Ryan's called Heavy Metal due to his weighty darts would using these darts make someone called "Lightweight"?
Might be worth investing in a new video setup, something similar to what the darts referee has might bump up the subcribers👍
It’s a bit more difficult for Edgar. He’s touring a lot of the year isn’t he.
lol you ever consider practicing with some toy darts and then
going to a carnival or something that has a darts parlor game and totally own that shit?
Matt already has a video on Carnival games on his channel. Have a look, its very interesting 👍
bulls have been makeing tiny darts for years this is nothing new
No one said it was
