I was a die-hard "purplehead" growing up. This, in my opinion, is every bit on par with DP's studio version of the song. Hats off to this talented bunch!
I’m listening to this again for the umpteenth time and it never gets old. The talent in that room is just awesome. I’m pushing 80 and this song will surely get your blood moving. They aren’t allowed to play this in the morgue for fear of bringing back the dead.👍👍
I have watched this more then a hundred times. It's always been awesome since first conceived. Joe Bonamassa(sp) makes it even better. Deep Purple is one of the best bands ever.
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 👍😎🇦🇹
That was incredible. The organ player is insane - the control over sounds while playing -- I have no words for. Then Bonamassa joins in and all hell breaks loose! Man that was so good!!
Makes one realize the recording Deep Purple did live black and white , the sound and filming quality just does it no justice. It must have been awesome live, if you were there.
That’s too much talent to have in one studio!!! These guys are brilliant! I’ve known for many decades how good Jimmy is, and I’ve known how good Joe is for around 15+ years, but these other guys are insanely talented too!
Made in Japan is one of the greatest live rock masterpieces of all time and JB and company killed it. Its jaw dropping to see pros lay it down like these guys did.
As impressive as the musicianship is in this video, the technical quality of the video is awful. Joe is the star of the band and not one camera picks him up properly. For most of his breaks, we're either seeing his back turned to camera, the side of his face or, at best, one of his hands playing but not the other. I mean, hello, when a guitar legend plays lead breaks, you kinda want to see what he's doing. There are other breaks as well where we're not even seeing the musician playing the break. The keyboardist rips into an organ break and we're seeing the rhythm guitarist strumming along, or Jimmy smiling and looking at something else. It's really amateurish. I don't think either the director or the editor of the video are musicians.
The song is the star here and everyone played their role with exceptional skill. We hear and feel music, we don't watch it. It's not a guitar tutorial.

Ha ha! Well said!

RIP bass player Michael Rhodes March 4, 2023
Loved him in the video...how deep this river runs... saddened by his death...he must be playing his tunes past Peter at his gates...
Rip 🙏

👍😎🇦🇹
This is the best version of this song, for
me. So
many talented performers involved.
Merci messieurs. Hervé
As many in here, I'm a die hard Purple fan and this is absolutely amazing.

And it came to pass, God said unto Earth "Playeth me your nastiest blues 'n rock song.... and make it sizzle."
I grew up listening to Deep Purple and this is by far the best version of this song I have ever heard! Period! 🇨🇦
Makes one realize the recording Deep Purple did live black and white , the sound and filming quality just does it no justice. It must have been awesome live, if you were there.
Agreed! This supersedes the original!
Felicitation ca swing grave
Best cover ever. R.I.P. Michael Rhoads.
One hell of a performance!

How about that organ?
@@Oliver_Cumberland damn straight!
Rightly said don't forget the Hammond
My favorite take on this song. It’s perfect.
This is the most wonderful rendition of this song I have ever heard...
That's some straight up rock -n- roll right there✌
Made in Japan is one of the greatest live rock masterpieces of all time and JB and company killed it. Its jaw dropping to see pros lay it down like these guys did.
An absolute pleasure to listen to that cover. All Pro😎😎😎
Love that behind the nut bend at the end!! Joe Rules!
Super!
this vid on the deep purple channel went private so i had to find it here, thanks!!
That's what you call ROCKING
It always blows me away! Bomb!
GÉNIAL ❤
I like the Keyboard Part in the Intro! Missing it would be missing John Lord.
Holy 💩💩💩💩‼️ ➡️ 💣🔥🧨💥🤯👍❤️‼️ (Some of the) BEST 🎸🎸🎸 playin’ & R-N-R 🎶🎵 🎼 ever EVER‼️ C it 2 B leave it 🤡.
You see kids, those people are called “musicians” and they’re playing “instruments.” And they make something called “music.”
Bomba!!!
A masterpiece. Absolutely amazing!
Oh Mann, ist das gut!
That is the shit. Thanks to bonamassa n every one. Snd most of all deep purple,
Damn!
Magnífica interpretación.
Anton Fig on drums (Dynasty and Unmasked, Kiss)
Yes, I'm back again, I just love this version !
Joe really gives it the Blackmore treatment here
Deep Purple is one of the greatest teams, but ... this version of Lazy is cooler than that of DP. Barnes.. No words.
Far Out!
Deep Purple
Temazo💪😍
You guys paid deep purple the greatest respect with this cover, something rarely achieved
Great..

MAD 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Who's playing the organ? Lachy Doley?
Arlan Schierbaum
Great. Congenial to the original.
But why the hell are they looking at the notes all the time?
Takes a few, to start cooking
Time is cyclical...study the ancient..."LAZY "?
