If such was said by their coaches. Very, very sad in my personal opinion. Tessa was 8 and Scott was 10 when they loved as kids not knowing what it was. Thruout the adult years Love grows and comes softly with touch. I wish both a happy life in their retirement and with it love and blessings. They were never IN love with each other (at the same time at least) They had crushes on each other at times. But they loved each other deeply as friends and as partners. They always cared for each other. If you’re not familiar with their story, they fostered a very close relationship and worked very hard at it.

I used to love watching these two skate together with such perfection and depth of emotion in their routines, but I find that I can't go back and watch these videos often because they make me feel so incredibly sad. I know they have a right to choose who they want to be with, and I know as professional skaters they were just partners, but no one in the whole world believes that they made the right choice even to this day. Just sad.
