What they did in their debut year is something that even the most seasoned teams cannot match currently. Absolute legends
They just don't make 'em like this anymore
They never will. There will only ever be one V/M
Мастерство видно даже здесь.
The first 30 seconds of this program are absolutely phenomenal. Not a single doubt in my mind that this is one of the most romantic programs of all time. How lucky are we to have had the privilege of watching them over the years ... I’ll really really miss them.
B Salter Are they going to coach? They understand psychology on and off the ice better than anyone.
@@GretchenVaughn I am pretty sure that Scott is doing some coaching already, but Tessa's career desires lie somewhere else.
It is Aug 2024 and I still get shivers watching this program. I must watch this at least once or twice a day. Makes my heart sing
They skate like no one is watching them. Just a boy and girl in love….. stunning.
artistry, athleticism, romanticism, musicality, partner awareness and commitment
Couldn’t agree more!

I've been watching ice dance forever and have seen many good teams come and go, but I remember when I first saw this program (literally remember the moment) and it stopped me in my tracks and I then had it on repeat for weeks. I knew right away that they were something extra special, and a once in a lifetime team. Very, very rare. And it was clear they were destined for something big. We're privileged to have been witness to their magic over so many years.
This program got me interested in ice dance. At the time I was only into singles skating and recorded these worlds on my vcr, was skimming through to find the ladies event but decided to watch this program because her dress was stunning and instantly fell in love. They picked up on so many musical nuances and their connection was something I expected from the seasoned teams but never saw. I decided to follow them starting from this competition and everything ever since has just been magic, especially Umbrella of Cherbourg ♥
@@HelTra91 Umbrellas is my personal favorite too.
March 2 2022 still watching the GOAT of ice dancing tessa Virtue and Scott Moir
I love this program. I even love the elegant way that Scott gets into his starting position - such great lines - and then the way Tessa eases down into his arm and she wraps her arm around him. This was the year that they really looked like seniors and when I thought Scott started to really shine. I’ve often thought thank goodness Tessa had Scott as a partner, someone who was really her equal or else she would’ve eclipsed anybody else.
This is the year where I thought he started to have this rare quality of being exceptionally graceful and being alpha masculine at the same time.
They do so many things that I like in this program that they had been doing and would continue to do throughout their career: near constant contact throughout the dance, looking at each other, how often he does a hand to the back of her neck hold ( and vice versa) and how often he brushes her cheeks. It’s an incredibly sweet and endearing gesture to me for some reason.
"This is the year where I thought he started to have this rare quality of being exceptionally graceful and being alpha masculine at the same time" - excellent description of his rare gift. Notice that if you watch any of their dances on a slower speed, it becomes crystal clear how excellent their timing is, their feel of not just the beat of the music, but the micro-beats within the rhythm.
Tessa obviously shows her balletic roots through her graceful movements, but Scott moves like a brilliant jazz dancer with every purposeful movement, always superbly executed.
I discovered ice dance through Tessa and Scott and knew instinctively that they were great because of how mesmerezing they were, but it is only since recently having watched many senior and junior competitions that I truly understand how good they were also on a pure technical level. I mean they were 17 and 19 here, first year at Senior Worlds, younger than some of the best Senior and even Junior teams now, and everything is so precise and mature - not even mentionning the beauty of the dance or their chemistry. Truly the GOATs imo
This is not just ice skating movement, it's something else. It's not about their chemistry, not about the music, not about their beautiful look, it's something else.......
Can't believe this was almost 13 years ago!
Ikr? So ahead of their time! 💗
2021 , still watching their dance 💃 like their team up
Absolutly true..they
were Love birds couple partner team, an extra ordinary gift, a phenomenal ice scater Dancers of all time..
Rare talent, Magical & Amazingly graceful, cool perfect style moves Show on ice skate ring Olympic ive ever watched.
4:38 I can’t believe it took this long for me to realize the ending pose is reminiscent of Auguste Rodin’s Eternal Springtime sculpture (L’eternal Printemps). Look it up.
Which would make sense since Marina was a fan of Rodin and did program for Gordeeva/Grinkov based on Rodin’s The Kiss.
Its 2022 and here i am because i miss them so much
2024 and echo the sentiments
Ну просто очей очарованье. Настолько нежно и одухотворенно что боишься моргнуть и дышать. Полнейшая волшебная магия на льду в лице Тессы и Скотта. Виват любимые❤❤❤
This competition was the first time I had seen these two (and Davis and White) and my god it has been such a pleasure watching the both of them skyrocket to the top of their game. I miss them so much! It really isn’t the same without them.
Best and closest competitors I can ever remember. Always though both teams deserved Gold unless there was an actual mistake. All wonderful athletes
Like how do people not fall in love while ice skating together?
Thanks for uploading this beautiful video. Memories of them worth remembering. No other dancers can performed like them. They were fantastic , wonderful and magnificent. Their fans missed them especially now that they are already retired and living a private life. How I wish you will come bavk and perform once again. No other dancers can beat you in terms of elegance, gracefulness and creativity. Thanks also to the coaches who molded them also to the choreographer for without them no Tessa and Scot will be born. Fr. the Philippines.
Thanks for sharing with us!
Phenomenal. As Robin Cousins once said they are Torvill&Dean melted with Gordeeva&Grinkov
WWhat an awesome comparison. Truly this team and Davis and White were superb and changed ice dancing
Scott por ser um homem pequeno fez uma incrível história nos levantamentos! Eles são os melhores do mundo 👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful! Marvellous! Outstanding! Perfection! G.O.A.T!!! Thanks CBC for the HD version! We want more please!!
My God, Scott had the sweetest manners, expression and bedroom eyes I have ever seen in my life. Tessa was privileged, and his wife possibly even more.
Im a new fan of them. Im watching their videos everyday and I actually don't believe they're not a real thing i mean not couples. And Scott got engaged to somebody else.
I think it was a blow to all of us newbies.
Is he really engaged ???
@@marie-clairegirouard6863 if He is really engaged He should be very proud with His engagement and pose for a picture together with that lady that He is engaged to.but where?does He has any pictures out yet?
@@rurallifeinthephilippines5137 Scott has been pretty private since retirement. He's done some interviews to support the Special Olympics and a few other spots here and there, but he's kept a pretty low profile. I think his fiancee (now wife?) is pretty private, too, so I'm not surprised that they don't have many pictures. I understand that he and Tessa are trying to forge their own paths right now and we may not see much of him for a little while. I just hope he remains active in the sporting community, attends the Olympics next year, and I hope he and Tessa reconnect and do some speaking or coaching from time to time. They have so much to teach people about what it means to be a part of a team, to lift up your teammates, being your best for the sake of others and yourself -- It would be a really heartbreaking loss if they parted ways forever.
@@julianjones5861 wife?so He is married now?well the lady doesn't want to pose for pictures because of she had had done behind her husband back i guess?she doesn't want controversy that she snatched Scott away from Tessa
Does anyone know what Scott says to Tessa right at the beginning of the program?
My God; that was beautiful!
It's just too beautiful. Too beautiful.
Tell me I'm not dreaming 😍
Crying all night
Wow : Both costumes. Nice dance and good choice of music.
So seamless!! I love them 💜💜
Us too!
They ‘re the best of the world.
When you watch their programs, you can see that Scott Moir has legit perfect ‘turnout’ from hips and everything, never forced. And I'm like... Scott, are you sure you didn't take ballet seriously as a kid...? Because no other ice dancers have that alignment, lmao.
Simplemente maravilloso
Brilliant, Lovely and truly Escatic Performance by one of the most shinning skake dancing pair of the world. ✨💓
Beautiful!
L’Amour ...est là... toujours et s’exprime au bout de leurs patins... ils sont touchants....
OH MY GOD
Thanks ❤️
I became a CBC subscriber because I started to realize that they have good and different camera angles. And I usually enjoy their commentary too.
We're happy to have you!
@@CBCSportsbe nice: put the commentaries back in the videos.
Paul Martini was avgreat commentator. Knowledgeable, and great at his job as was Tracy Wilson
best of all time
00:55 His neck movement is beyond amazing here. It's elastic like a spring.
Absolutely hypnotising
Thanks ❤️❤️
Magic! 🔟 🔟 🔟 🔟 10s Across the Board!
They are so cute lovely and delightful, l would love to see skaters enjoy performing all the time of the year fans, think about it
Perfection!!!

Lindos demais
BRILLANTE!!!!!
Valse Triste 4EVA!
Who put together their routines? Does anyone know please?
Excelente.felicitaciones.
Stunning!!
Scott and Tessa danced wonderfully. Tessa proved to be an excellent dancer, and Scott, very elegant, determined and romantic, led Tessa in a masterful way. Better performance was impossible.
💜💜💜 👍👍👍
6:14 Desde Argentina ( ciudads de Glew) los ADORO❤
I just realized that Scott has as completely different shirt in the thumbnail vs the video
He was a great dancer himself, but even greater because he also could blend to balance with her. I think he took a second seat to let her shine (their strategy as a team?).
❤
Tai Chi masters.
May , 2024...when we were young ❤ .
They are soo nice together!
Tesssa și . Scott, . Moir.
I like their earlier programs much more than their later ones.
Well their programs were suited to their ages, so got progressively more mature I think, but I too love their early programs
malapit ng bamagsak si laurel. like hello totoo kayang olympics yan. kaya yan tuluy si lalaki dumaan pa sa mga judge sa supreme court kasi nga may disgusting face pang nalalaman.
Untouchable and unbearable
Unbeatable
Ballet, without torn shoes,,,. And on slides, hmm not at all stupid,
About that, attack, scandalous, I think the, young lady, did not know, it's a darker world the einterteinment, press, ♥️
