    To anyone who looks at this video and is still wondering if its worth the money to get it then I will say yes it is. I had been sick for sometime now and have three pets to tend to as well. The shark stratos was put to its absolute limit with how much hair and dust it had to suck up and after multiple dust bin dumps that filled up an entire trash bag I can say that this vacuum cleaner is worth every single penny today. Its versatility with going from carpet to hard flooring was tremendously helpful along with the power lift away. The turbo brush attachment turned cleaning the furniture off less of a chore and more so fun. Needless to say watching VacuumWars video had helped me make a decision since I'm going from a 80$ vacuum cleaner that's many years old to a now top of the line model that works wonders.

    Hello sir, I just wanted to be sure to thank you for your videos. Your methods, explanations, and visual demos of how you test all of these vacuums are second-to-none. I have gone through 3 vertex vacuums. The first lost suction but would turn on after first use. Returned it right away and they gave me a new one... 2nd one the belt broke and the brush stopped spinning. Returned it and got a new one. Last one just died yesterday. motor blew it wont even turn on now. I have lost all faith in that vacuum. I'm going to try something else.

I waited for your review and immediately ordered this vacuum direct just now. I have an old shark that worked like beast mode for the past 10 years and I finally broke it pretty good. I could probably just order replacement parts but after 10 plus years its time for the latest and greatest model! @Sonica212 2 года назад +4

      I agree. And you can't open up the brushroll cover like you can on the Apex. The only good thing I can notice on this one is that might be able to replace the small wheels easier on the floor nozzle as they wear out pretty easily. Apex is still better then the Vertex and Stratos.

    I cannot help but notice that you've not included the airflow at the head measurement in both this and the Dyson animal 3 reviews. I think it's far more important to know what you're getting for airflow at the surface than at the hose.

    One aspect I think you should add to your reviews, at least for shark vacuums, is if the handle has lights on it. I had the apex duo clean which had led lights on the handle, and I replaced it with the vertex when it came out. I was quite disappointed with shark, that they removed the lights on the handle with the vertex. It's a very under appreciated feature on a vacuum for it comes in handy so many times especially when using the handle when vacuuming under furniture and such where it's dark. I've purchased every new shark vacuum since my 1st one with the rotator. But until they put lights back on the handle, I'll be skipping out on the Stratos. The apex duo clean is still the top shark vacuum for me because of that.

    So far with my shark duoclean (over 1 year old) with the anti hair tangle and my significant other with long hair below her shoulders 12" - 18" and I think it's only had like 5 strands of hair "tangled" in the time I've had the vacuum. Now they just need to upgrade their parts (repairability) warehouse and maybe start to focus on product longevity. I would love to be able to use a shark vacuum like this for 10+ years.

    How does it compare to the vertex? The vertex has a 12in brush roll while the Stratos has a 10in brush roll. Do you think that is why the Stratos has a slightly better pickup on carpets? Which one would you recommend, the Stratos or Vertex for cleaning pretty large carpeted areas with lots of foot traffic?
    Also which one "feels" better? In sense of build quality? I know this is a vague question, but it still has some merit to it. It seems as if they are pretty similar. I just need a good workhorse. I am welcoming anyone for suggestions.

  • @TheUberSchattenjager
    @TheUberSchattenjager 2 месяца назад +1

    A couple of PROs not mentioned, at least in regard to the Stratos vs Vertex: The head of the vertex is narrower at the leading edge, giving the Stratos a little better reach under appliances and low furniture. The second PRO is the hose. The Stratos is a bit more more supple and expands more easily without rebounding the vacuum over on its side.

      I bought the Dyson Animal 3 and the new Shark Stratos. All I will say is I returned the Dyson. The Stratos hands down picks up much more pet hair than the Dyson did. In fact it's not even close plus the Shark is much better on our hard floors. The Shark is also much easier to maneuver around obstacles and believe it or not having a light on it actually is a benefit. I was always a Dyson person but the Shark 🦈 won me over.

My last 2 vacuums have developed an odor from the exhaust and I always clean the bin after use, change filters, and make sure the vacuum is clean over all. Nothing I've ever seen prevents vacuum odor if you have pets except a thorough cleaning of the vacuum inside and out. My Dyson stick vac was one of the most resistant to vacuum stench, but even that one needed to be taken apart and given a good cleaning every few months. You cannot cover vacuum stench with a perfume capsule.

    I would love to see a comparison of the stratos upright versus cordless. You seem to have them nearly number one with respect to cordless versus corded. I would love to know which is better between cordless or corded or if it is simply a preference or a difference in power. Power might just be better for carpet maybe?

    Are the brushes on the main roller soft, like on the Vertex, or stiff, like on most vacuums (the Navigator 352 for example)? Performance on carpet is my top priority. IMO the power fins and soft brushes are the reason the Vertex performance on carpet isn't top notch. Any advice appreciated.

    The hose doesn't detach from the handle, so if you need to vacuum several different angles like a couch or stairs, you are going to have a very hard time. And the hose is extremely short. These 2 major issues make this vacuum a major rip-off.
