IT WORKED!! I’ve had this problem for over a year and nothing worked until this. I had to move the card around quite a bit, but it’s finally took. Thank you man and God bless you for taking the time to share this!!!!🙏🏼😇

Thank you for this. In fact, you don't even need a credit card, you actually just push the outside of the frame itself - just push into it and it will press that button above it for you!

I tried the card trick based on the advice of another video, but wasn't able to get it to work. I like how you explained that the touchscreen actually "extends" past the frame. When I tried it again based on that fact, it worked! So thanks for that wonderful explanation!

My gf was just roasting me for having a "jank car" (2014 Camry) and has this exact same problem. We are on a road trip, she took over driving l, couldn't get her phone to sync in my car and I told her to pull over and did this same fix in literally 30 seconds. Excellent video, immediately understood the fix and I'm thankful for you. Plus, she can no longer call my ride "jank" lol 🤣
I was trying for the longest time to get my phone synced to my girlfriend’s car to play some music and the “ADD” button was not responding at all. I did some research and came across this video and man was I impressed to find that your trick worked! Thanks for uploading!

I have the same issue. Going to try it. Thanks for your video. Dealer wanted $4500 for just the radio not including labor, or $1000 for a rebuild. You would think with so many having this issue that there hasn't been a recall. Whoever built these units needs to be held accountable.
I agree and brought this question up with the service advisor at Toyota and recalls are made by the manufacture for safety issues he said. I then asked him why Toyota send a letter out to their customers having peeling paint issues (not a safety issue) to have their car repainted and he didn't have answer. I think some bored lawyer needs to start a class action lawsuit based upon the volume of issues alone on this thread to have Toyota address this issue. It's crazy that a fantastically reliable car company can't get the simple things right like paint and radios. My two cents. Any lawyer takers?

I have a 2014 Avalon hybrid limited, my screen was unresponsive. Toyota told me it’s gonna cost $2,450.65 to fix it.

This information is great! Thank you so much! Calibration is just the right word. I knew something was wrong before I got a new phone. The card worked and is so easy. Thank you!
This really works!!!! NOTE: If the Add/Remove buttons are blanked out, remember that the car needs to be at a stop for the car to give you access to these buttons (assuming its a safety thing). If the Remove button doesnt work, simply press Add, and have your device ready to pair. It'll ask to replace a connected device, since the car is full on device space. Good luck!!!

Omg this was so helpful!! Haha I had already figured out that you had to press below the button but mine had gotten worse in the last year just lower and lower until I couldn’t reach it and hadn’t thought about using a card! Thank you for your ingenuity haha!

Let me first say I was frustrated because I couldn't sync my new Samsung s10 plus to my car. I tapped on the add button for days unavailable to get the car system to connect with my new phone. I watched your video and went to my car as I was leaving for work slipped the credit card in between the lower left corner of my head unit pass the add button on screen and it worked!!!!😁😁😁😅🤣🤣😉 Thank you Thank you thank....my drive Into work today was much more pleasant listening to spotify and my podcast form my phone. I did all sorts of things and finally figured out it had nothing to do with phone or pairing but the buttons on the bottom of the display. I did what you suggested and, with some struggle, it worked and the phone paired right up. You are a genius!
