EPICA have beautiful ballads, this one is from the 2021 Omega album. Lyrics written by Simone, Rob van der Loo wrote the music. Simone performed this acapella with a choir at the Omega Alive virtual show. "Tides of Time" is another excellent ballad. If you're going to check out Apocalyptica , be careful. Other reactors have had trouble with their stuff being blocked. This performance was in Amsterdam last year, check out "Code of Life" from there.
Thanks, Chris! I will check out Tides of Time. In fact, I will check out pretty much everything by Epica lol! I appreciate the heads up with Apocalyptica. That is so frustrating. We reactors are doing them a favor by promoting their client but there too stuck in the old systems to realize that. Now, if the monetization is blocked I will still put it up. Honestly, we don't make a dime on most of the videos we post. Sabaton and Ren have been the biggest supporters of reaction channels. Thanks my friend! 🤘❤️🤘
I was at this concert, we had to wait for over three years for it to finally go ahead as it was already planned before the pandemic. It was a co-headline show, Apocalyptica played the first half and Epica the second on this occasion. Both were great. We were asked to put up the lights and it's great to see that view as from the crowd you only have a limited view of it.
Hi Bill, the music for Rivers was composed by Rob, EPICA's bass player, the lyrics were written by Simone based on Rob's concept, in this video Rob explains what the song is about... EPICA - Behind the music OMEGA (Part 13) (Official Vlog)
If you follow Simone and Ayreon, then you will be glad to know that they have a joint project and just an hour ago there was a release of Simone's song, from her upcoming solo album, in the creation of which Arjen Lucassen (from Ayreon) took a huge part. Simone Simons - Aeterna (official video)
Epican pal and member of Nightwish army, I salute! I always love your reactions! I hope you will join my upcoming website on October (not a RUclips channel) to listen metal music...differently! Cheers from Greece!
I would absolutely love to join your website, my friend! That sounds awesome. Send me the link to my email bemusingbill@gmail.com. Thank you, my friend! Cheers from NY 🤘❤️🤘
Apocalyptica, a metal band from Finland. Apocalyptica started with four cellos - of which there are now three left - played by Paavo Lötjönen, Eicca Toppinen and Perttu Kivilaakso and with Mikko Sirén on drums. At first they mainly played Metallica covers for fun. After their successful first album Plays Metallica by four cellos, a second album quickly followed: Inquisition Symphony. On this album, in addition to covers of Metallica, they also play covers of Sepultura, Slayer, Pantera and Faith No More. Epica speaks out about the ongoing, increasingly fierce battle in the Middle East. Calls to step over your own shadow and start again. With love. “...'Rivers' symbolizes the calmness and at the same time the uncertainty in life, the ebb and flow. The calm water represents peace, and a strong river stream means that you have to face challenges and swim against the tide of life,” comments Simone Simons.
I've only heard a couple of songs by Apocalyptica.. I'm not Jesus with Corey Taylor and I Don't Care with I forget his name.. the former vocalist from Three Days Grace before they switched to the vocalist from My Darkest Days. I think I've only heard of one song from Epica.. Two Wolves maybe? Nice to hear more stuff from them. If you like them, you might want to check out The Dark Element and Nightwish.
Thanks for the info, my friend! Epica and Nightwish are very big parts of my channel. I've covered many songs from both bands and love them both! I need to hit up Apocalyptica now! Never heard of Dark Element but if you are putting them in there with Nightwish then that's another rabbit hole to go down! Thanks!🤘❤️🤘

@@BemusingBill NEW SONG. Released 8 hours ago. Aeterna by Simone Simons from her upcoming solo album, Vermillion. Music by Arjen Lucasson.
Apocalyptica *and* Epica?!?! So cool! Thank you❤❤
So beautiful, right? Thank you! ❤️❤️
Absolutely stunning! Whenever I hear her voice, I get a rush of goosebumps and I just melt! Apocalyptica is the perfect choice for this song.
I agree with you, Mossy. Sonically, it's the perfect match. Maybe she and Tommy should do a collab someday!
There is another magical performance of this song from Omega Alive, where Simone sings it a capella, just a choir and Simone.
That sounds like pure magic right there! Thank you my friend! 🤘❤️🤘
That was one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard from Epica.
Still have chills from this! Glorious! Just glorious!

Literally the most beautiful song I have ever heard in my 58 years.
Right?!? So gorgeous! 🤘❤️🤘
Apocalyptica. ❤ That band means a lot to me. They also have a song with Simone called "Rise Again" that is just as stunning as this one.
That's cool! I haven't actually done any Apocalyptica as of yet but I think Rise Again sounds like a very good start! Thank you, my friend 🤘❤️🤘

@@BemusingBill I believe The Dark Element is where Annett Olzon ended up after Nightwish.
Adam Gontier is the singer on "I Don't Care".
