Your technique used on the candle really made it come to life 🤩😍! & of course LUVIN all the detailed makes from all the artists 😍! Thanks for sharing ! 😃💚🌹
I agree with Chris and Cats. I’m American but I like to make 5 x 7 cards. I have virtually stopped buying Tim H embossing folders. Some competitors have started making 6 x 8” folders. Prefer this size in stencils also. Plus I don’t like the small cover plate dies and won’t buy them no matter how much I love them. I also won’t buy 6 x 6 paper pads. Only 6 x 8.
Hi Rhonda! Thanks so much for your feedback! You may want to check out our brand new A5 embossing folders which are 6" x 8.5" so should be large enough for your cards :)
I enjoy these....but my purse doesnt. Its hidden from me after the latest round! 🤣 the only thing i do find a bit frustrating is the size of the embossing folders as they're always too small. You're a UK Company, located only around 40 minutes down the road from me in North Wales, yet the Tim folders are all the American A2 size, despite many UK customers and being made by a UK based company with a UK customer base. As I and many others in the UK use standard UK card sizes of 5"x7" or 6"x6", for us, the folders are always too small and dont have an even gap all round on a 5x7 even if you placed them in the centre. If you cut it so its even, it ends up tiny. It would be so much better if they were 5x7 (if 6x6 cant be done) thus giving the choice for both places and creating a bigger market, as American makers can easily put their smaller A2 pieces in them or cut a piece down, but we can't add a bit on as the pattern wouldnt line up, especially on woodgrain.
In spite of what a lot of influencers say on their videos, the US doesn't have a 'standard' size. In fact, in most stores the cards are 5x7 (on average) Not sure why a2 is dominant in card videos. As for how Tim Holtz chooses his sizes, it's anyones guess. 😂 His stencils are small as well. **Can relate on the purse problem...I'm 'trying' to wait for Black Friday to see if I can snag some good deals then.
Thanks so much for your feedback! You may want to try our brand new A5 embossing folders which are a little larger for bigger projects! Just do a search for 666506 or 666507 on our website :)
I agree wholeheartedly that A2 cards are too small and I’m embarrassed to give them to anyone, and therefore I never make them. Luckily, Spellbinders has beautiful A7 2D & 3D embossing folders (and, no, I don’t work for Spellbinders). I love that Tim’s products are so imaginative, but hope he will take a stab at A7. Best wishes for a calmer 2024.
