      I agree, he stole the show today. The only way a team takes Marvin is if they want to “play it safe,” but Malik Nabers will develop into a generational talent in the NFL.
      He doesn’t lead LSU in career receiving yards and receptions for no reason.

      - 14 TDs
      Marvin’s 2024 Stats:

      Great comparison but you also have to put it into context. MHJ shared the field with Egbuka, Olave, Wilson, Smith-Njigba (just at wr). All of those guys are legit 1st rounders with success at the NFL for everyone who’s transitioned. Nabers is a one man crew, albeit Thomas is a good robin. His numbers should be better. I’d argue, MHJ, was the best player amongst talented group for the last 3 years. Which his fellow WRs mentioned above will attest to. Nabers is great, but I don’t think his greatness should outshine MHj. I’d trust the lineage over everything, and we know what his daddy did!

    • @JetJamez
      @JetJamez Месяц назад +1

      @@huntingwolf20 I think that would help him early in his career. I don’t think he’s as dominant as people think he is. If you look at his highlights he’s always VERY open vs average DBs-either a busted coverage or a 1-on-1. That’s just not going to happen at the next level. When he went against Michigan, the DBs were athletically on his level so he didn’t get as much separation but bad defensive technique and good offensive scheme allowed him to score.
      I think he’s ultimately a #1 receiver in the league but he will have to work on getting two feet down now, not catches with his body/double catching, and hopefully he gets stronger/more durable.
      I just don’t see him being as dominant in the SEC like Nabors was. The fact that he doesn’t work out on the big stage, is just crazy to me but I understand that it would take a lot of buzz off of him if he ran a high 4.4 or low 4.5 (which is what I believe that he would have ran). I think he’s just gonna let the tape speak for itself. Problem is I don’t think that tape is as valuable as some people think it is.

    • @JetJamez
      @JetJamez Месяц назад +1

      @@JonahsWailyea whoever is managing him for sure doesn’t want him to workout. Ultimately I think it’s because his stats are a bit embellished (I saw someone say he runs a 4.3, I think he’s a 4.48 at best) and some stats could deflate his buzz from the public. I don’t think it will change any NFL team’s perception of him either way.
