The 'little black dress' is stunning. I love the woven fabric. Your sewing modifications are helpful. I'm learning new skills from your instructions. I watched your "From the Heart" video. I listen. I learn. I support.
I too hate rompers and jumpsuits since the 70’s but seeing all the things you can do with this pattern I purchased it . It’s very versatile tile . I love it when you make a lot of garments from the one pattern .thank you again for your lovely makes . You are my sewing guardian angel.
That dress is a great idea for bits and pieces I often find in the remnant bin. I can make the top out of one fabric and the bottom from another! Great garments, all three of them look so nice on you. Love your videos. 💕
I too would never wear a romper, so thought this pattern is not for me. I love the dress you made and now think I can use it after all. Thanks for showing how to get the most from the pattern.
I have bought this pattern and am itching to make it up. All three garments look great on you and I love the adaptations you make and give lots of further possibilities. Thank you.
love the way you presented the pattern. I didnt think i would like this but after seeing what you made, I think i now have a new pattern and outfit. I dont wear rompers either. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful makes again Karina! I too am not a true romper fan. But I'm thinking about those dresses! What a great idea on doubling the bands with thinner or slinkier fabrics. Great tip I'll have to try!!
Such a great job on all 3 garments. I especially like the black on black with woven skirt. Thank you for sharing ideas for this versatile pattern. I am starting to understand why there’s so many fans of LN Patterns. Thanks again! ❤️
I used to hate the blousen look, but this design looks very flattering! Thank you for highlighting it and showing your versions to us. I really like how you styled everything!
I’m the same. Anything gathered and I was running, but I have been trying on things in the shops to explore and have learnt to like the blouson, but only in light drapy fabric :)
hi karina take care honey i think u are an amazing person thank you for being you everything always looks beautiful on you .it must be hard to choose what u want to wear u have so many outfits to choose from
I actually remove tags from my RTW items all the time. My skin is sensitive. I’d been looking for metal tags that are sewn on to the outside of the garment but I’d have to order thousands 😄. The grosgrain ribbon: I’ve never seen it here to try it.
Nice dresses and pants, I especially love the black dress on you! I hope you get a Coverstitch machine for Christmas! If there’s anyone that deserves one, it’s YOU!
All your makes are lovely. I'm like you. Rompers and jumpsuits aren't my thing. However, I did watch Kim's video and thought her versions were very pretty. I think her tip adding elastic to the neckline is so smart. No change to the look, but eliminates any chance of droop.
Once again you have made fantastic garments!! I love how you adapt patterns for your own style. I would totally wear what you have made. So good using that last bit of beautiful bird fabric. Your pants are awesome, comfortable and stylish...love it xxxx
When I have problem deciphering front from back I stitch a bright color thread over the back seam several times on the inside, naturally. No sophisticated label for me.
I remove labels from RTW because my skin is so sensitive. I’ve looked into getting tiny metal labels to sew on the outside but can’t find any. Yes, I’ve done the color stitch too and I’ll do that for the black one :). For the other, I have the bird 😁
I loved the second dress mixing the woven with the knit. As for rompers, not my thing at all. They remind me of these ugly gymsuits we had to wear in high school (early 70s'), white cotton, snap front with elastic in the leg that came up to our upper thigh. Horrible things. Also there was a kids TV show called 'Romper Room'. Take care.
The dresses are beautiful! Those pants look very nice and comfortable. I always learn so much from you. I’m going to sew pants based on your series. I haven’t decided on which pattern yet, but have purchased fabric. Take care and stay safe. Thank you for this channel.
Lifting Pins and Needles That’s a real gift, thank you Karina. I’m an “adventurous beginner.” Heather of Closet Case Patterns sent out a powerful email yesterday, I wish there was an easy pants pattern from them so I could support her. I already bought Allegro, I’m learning toward those. Thank You again
I loved seeing you today! This dress you made reminds me how much I want to make my young adult daughter a "faux 2 piece shorts romper." If I put elastic in both the blouse & the shorts at the waist, when there is movement it will always gap. The only options I have come up with, are having narrow panel around the bottom of blouse that tucks in (maybe with hidden snaps) I haven't given up, but I am not satisfied with a viable plan yet. (My machine will not sew any stretch fabric, I am only considering woven) I really like your pants. Black and white fabric is the best. They look dressy & so comfortable at the same time! God Bless you always, take care.
The faux romper only works up to a point and untucking will happen. In general I have issue with being covered top to bottom in the same fabric 😄. Thanks for watching 😊
Love this pattern and what you've done with it! I love the black top and bottom dress, so flattering on you! I like the pants too. A matching top would be adorable and very flattering as well. Karina are you a licensed midwife, and are you still practicing? I think you mentioned it in an older video.
I wish I’d had fabric for a matching top. I’m registered and can practice in Chile and New Zealand only. So I can’t legally work in Brazil, unfortunately.
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles That is too bad, I bet you miss it. On the positive side you get to be at home with your son and hubby. Time flies and your son will be graduating before you know it. You have a very calm personality on video, I'm sure your patients loved that about you.
Great review. I’m super excited to make this pattern. If I am 5’7” do you think I would have to add any length anywhere to the rompers. I notice you didn’t have to for the dress. Thanks heaps.
I don't think you will need to adjust the bodice at all. I didn't need to and I'm 5ft8". If you want to make the romper, I'd look at adding length to the legs :)
The name "romper" put me off at the beginning--sounds like a baby/toddler garment. Jumpsuit isn't any better for me. I was in my late teens, early twenties when jumpsuits were so popular. I had made several of different fabrics--none were worn a lot. I didn't like having to pull off all of my clothes to go to the bathroom. I also didn't find them very comfortable or sensible for me, even though I was quite slender at the time. I love how you changed this to suit you and your style. The pants are very cute and stylish--good idea. The dresses are very nice on you. I love how you put "scraps" together to make lovely outfits. Thank you.
I’ve never worn a jumpsuit or romper and I’ve tried. Since my teens. It’s not a style I feel great in and I prefer to feel great, not just wear something because everyone else is. There are so many people who adore rompers and that’s awesome, because it makes them feel good.
The one worn there is an old one I bought and I’d say it’s made out of slinky ITY. I made another one and you can see the video about it here: ruclips.net/video/tiWYY8XTlQQ/видео.html
checked carefully you twin needle stitch as you have top load machine and yes, your stitch is same as I get on my top load Janome. No real normal zigzag on the back, the thread is almost straight with just little zigzagging. With my old side load Pfaff I was getting really nice and perfect zigzag and very stretchy seam. I was fighting a lot to get same quality twin needle seam on new machine but it was impossible. It kept stitching just like yours. One more proof that top load machines without bobbin case are not good for this.
Oh the world has been using the rompers/jumpsuits for decades already, and I think a lot of people look amazing and feel amazing in them. I prefer to stay with my dresses and pants :)

Brilliant, as usual, Karina. You always know how to hack a pattern into something that suits you. Thanks for sharing. 💚💚💚
It’s a way to get pants from the pattern too :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Clever girl! 💚
Another lovely lot of garments you made. You always choose lovely fabrics and colours. Thank you Karina. xxx
Thank you so much 😊. Sometimes the choice happens quick and other times, dwell on it for ever.
You know Karina, I'm really coming around to this dress idea. Thank you for the tips, encouragement and positivity!
So many options with this pattern and perfect for my Florida weather I just bought it!
Lovely. Great combination.
Thank you so much 😊
The way you talk through patterns is soooooo helpful!!
I’m glad it helps :)
Very good job
Great Fabric choice! Thanks for sharing other options for this pattern.
I’m always on the hunt for options. More fun :)
Your sewing is just so inspirational. Lovely, lovely makes. Thanks!
Oh, I love it when you make your own twist to the garments! :-) It really boosts my sew-jo. Big hug and thanks a lot :-) .

I’ve done this with the Willow wrap dress too and like the feel of more thickness :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles I'll have to remember this when I make my Willow wrap dress. I've had the pattern for ages.

Thank you so much 😊. If I weren’t making sewing videos, I would have very little amounts of clothing :) believe me.
I have a beautiful 1" grosgrain ribbon, I cut a piece and sew in the back as my tag. I love your make!

Black dress is especially nice. There is just something about the description romper for adults!! 😀
Yes. I agree about the word romper and jumpsuit 😊. For me, the style is one I don’t feel great in. And I’ve tried believe me.
Nice dresses and pants, I especially love the black dress on you! I hope you get a Coverstitch machine for Christmas! If there’s anyone that deserves one, it’s YOU!
Coverstitch machines are way too overpriced here. They sell semi industrial ones for less but they look so scary!
The industrial one is probably big with it’s own table too. Phooey - I know it’s a big expense since they only do a couple of stitches...
All your makes are lovely. I'm like you. Rompers and jumpsuits aren't my thing. However, I did watch Kim's video and thought her versions were very pretty. I think her tip adding elastic to the neckline is so smart. No change to the look, but eliminates any chance of droop.
Yes, Kim looks amazing in her rompers and she loves them. I love that there is an option for all preferences in the pattern :)
All three iteration look great! Thank you for all the creative tips!
I’m glad you liked the video :)

LOVE the pants. I hope I can get more of the same for a top. Not to wear together, but I loved the weight and feel. Thank you so much 😊
Nice dress, and I like without elastic or string. Just strait with lower waist line. It will look better on me
Love the dresses they turned out really nice . Everything you do comes out great ..And they look great on you..:)
Thank you so much 😊
To mark the back of tops or skirts I hand sew a few discrete contrasting color stitches on the inside of the garment.
I just love your videos, just chalked full of direction! You do an excellent job so glad I found your channel!
