Hey man this is amazing this deserves to be an advert for new zealand like I'm serious man you need to get in touch with some people about this ay. This is genuinely amazing the editing the sounds the quality of the film fottage.
Its all beautiful but very few people actually live in or close to these places as the South Island is rather like one big National Park. Great if you are a visitor with plenty of mullah but for average kiwis the cost of the ferries etc can be rather prohibitive. Wouldn't it be great if the government saw ferry transport as a necessity as Greece does? NZ rests a divided country for this reason.
As a crew that shoots a lot for Tourism NZ I can honestly say you have nailed this!! Some of your shots here are the best NZ shots I think I have ever seen?!! That Kea is spectacular dude! Incredible. Keep doing what you're doing it's epic!

I'm a Brit, but I worked for three and a half years at the Mount, across the harbour from Tauranga, and I don't remember any fogs. The Kaimai Ranges keep the climate pretty pleasant and I played outdoor tennis throughout the winter. Hamilton is a different story, that can be very foggy and bleak.

Grew up in the North island. Moved over to the AU and missed NZ so much so I did a one week road trip in the South island NZ during the mid of winter. I went to similar locations and I have to say it was surreal. My photos do not do any justice but this video really captured the way I experienced and saw with my own eyes. Nice work guys!
A lot of people come here, seduced by the natural beauty. When you come, especially in winter, come prepared, New Zealands mountains and rugged terrain have claimed many lives of visitors who have underestimated the quite brutal nature of the conditions of our beautiful country during winter. Just travelled South Island in August. I don't think I would enjoy the place that much in the summer. There was something about the snow capped mountains, fewer people and just the mystique of the aura of winter. An unforgettable trip!

This video is so nice that brings me back to the old days when I was working holiday there for about 9 months. My friends and I had the longest road trip during winter with a cozy camper van. Even the weather is much colder and to be more alert and careful with the driving as compared to other season, but still the view is everywhere! Love it and I will be back one day ! Thanks for sharing the video !

I visited Milford Sound and Lake Marina last month. I was too busy seeing the scenery and focusing on feeling how nature surrounded me that I did take a lot of photos and I was not able to express my emotions about such a spiritual journey. The first lake was Lake Marion, some of the rivers are ones running down from lake Marion. The large boulder field is Castle hill. There shots from right next to the Homer tunnel. There are a lot of shots from around central Otago. Not certain but pretty sure the lake with the stars is Hooker Glacier lake next to Mt Cook. I live near Fiordland and go to lots of these places pretty regularly.

It's probably the dark sky reserve. Only one in the Sourthern Hemi, and i think there's less than 10 in the whole world. Down south somewhere near a church.

It's probably the dark sky reserve. Only one in the Sourthern Hemi, and i think there's less than 10 in the whole world. Down south somewhere near a church.

Yeah reached -30 Celcius last winter in Michigan, United States. Was literally -17 Celcius every day last winter, you New Zealanders are so lucky with 13 degree winters
