We started our trip from Christchurch on 8th April '23, passed via Omaru,Timaru,Dunedin, Invercargill, Bluff, Te Anau, Milford Sound, Cromwell, Arrow town, Omarama, Lake Pukaki, Lake Tekapo and back to Christchurch. It was a 8 day trip and enjoyed every moment of the tour. New Zealand - A heaven on the Earth.
Great itinerary! We haven't been to some of those places! More reasons for us to go back there! 😃

Wow so beautiful! When was the trip? I plan on going in July and I wonder if most of the attractions will close for winter.
Our trip was around mid June. Ski resorts were just opening (probably needed more snow) but they should be open mid winter season. Other than that, most attractions should be open. Thanks again for watching!

Very nice video! And the weather looks great with clear skies in winter! Was there any rain at all during your trip? We plan to travel there in late Sept, but slightly worried about NZ's erratic weather.
Sept is spring time and should have a better weather conditions compared to our trip. We had rainy/snowy days during our trip and drives but did not really affect our itinerary. We were also told that the Milford Sound trip gives better experience when raining. We kept checking the weather calendar when planning our itinerary and adjust the activities based on the weather forecast for that day. It's not 100% accurate but at least gave us an idea and expectations of the weather conditions for certain dates. Hope that helps! Cheers! 🙂

Hello! sorry if this was mentioned, but may i know what dates did you guys take this trip on? im traveling a similar route in late Aug/early Sep and am abit worried about the road conditions being slippery from melted snow - any thoughts on that?
OMG that's so cool! Could you please spill the budget for the overall trip? And how was driving experience in winter? I heard that it could necessitate chains to drive safely in winter. Cheers, mate!
Hey there, mate! In certain areas we're required to carry snow chains but we've never really used them even driving while snowing. It should be safe and most of car rental companies will give more info about the driving conditions. About the overall budget, it's a bit hard to calculate the overall cost as most of our accommodations and activities were pre-booked some even months ago. I guess you could start budgeting from the number of days in NZ (hotel/airbnb total nights) then activities. Most of activities/attractions show prices in their websites. One thing to keep in mind also is Queenstown is quite expensive 😅

We booked with RealNZ. Lunch is actually optional but we decided to get it since we got our booking at a discounted rate(10% off online booking). You can also order food on board but be sure to bring cash. Thanks again for watching the video! 😊

Do you know if they have any crime in New Zealand?
Absolutely beautiful country! From a quick search, they don't have a high crime rate especially in the south island. And based on our trip, we did not encounter anything related to that. We had more than a couple of instances where we drove late night, parked in dark areas, all safe. We actually find people there friendly. 🙂
I've been there three times people are so friendly you won't want to come home the scenery is mezmarizing!

We arrived about second week of June which is just the start of their winter season. It gets even colder in July to August. That would be perfect if you plan on skiing. 😊
