This has been one of my favorites you made! Thank you for taking the time to create this. If I ever get to NZ, I will definitely use your recommendations!
Every time you show the Hooker Valley Track it's obvious it's a must do! The Glacier Hike looks absolutely amazing. The Smokey Barrel donut place! Mmmmmm
Just sent this to my cousin in the UK who loves NZ and is itching for another visit when 'normal' resumes. You guys are great ambassadors for our country 👌🙏
Aw thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. Was a lot of fun looking back on everything while we were editing. We both just looked at each other and said 'woah... we've done some pretty cool stuff!' 🤯
Wow! Outstanding summary of your beautiful South Island! You two really put a nice bow on a stunning part of NZ! Your production efforts have not gone without notice - superb! Your pride in your majestic country really comes through and makes us all long for the ability to see it in-person. One day ...
Love this video! We are planning a month long trip and still deciding on which month to go...Do you have a comment about that? We are thinking of October. We are from Alaska and are fine with cool temps.
October will be nice, but not really cold enough or sunny enough - somewhere in the middle which could mean rain. Best is probably September to get the last month or so of winter
Hi guys, for some reason I can’t purchase the guide on the up, took me back and forward but when I click “buy” is doesn’t do anything and on the up has no option of nz at all. What I am doing wrong? 😢
Oh no! Not sure why it's doing that sorry. Three things you can try 1) A different browser 2) Try on a different device - either phone of desktop/lapton 3) Download the Thatch app, create an account and then find our guide - this is the app you use to view everything most efficiently anyway :)
I love your bomber jacket at the beginning of the video! Where is it from? I am travelling the south island in a few weeks time and want that jacket to keep me warm! 😂
Yey! Hey I’ve been trying to buy your book - maybe because I’m using mobile phone it’s not working out… messaged you on your website :) Currently making a plan for a big trip starting March 2022 with my boy and the book might help me work out the finances! Thanks for your inspiration :)
This is really not helping my wanderlust for international travel... but is really helping with planning for when the ultimate trip eventually comes around! 🙌 Apologies for the delayed reply, I've been without wi-fi for a few weeks, but excited to see I have a handful of videos from you guys that I get to work through now! 👍👍
hi Daneger and Stacey! Thank you so much for the lovely videos. We were following you while choosing campervans too, and now for the planning! :) We're trying to find a place where some of our adults can try horseback riding (1-2 hr will be lovely), and children can experience some animal experience or other nature activities. If you have a suggestion on the South Island, would be really appreciated!
Thanks for following along guys! Hhhmmm we haven't done any horse riding and not too sure on the best place sorry, hopefully you've found a good spot by now!
I was lucky enough to do both islands in 1992 and want to go back. Both North island ( Cape Reinga, Taupo etc) then ferry to Picton and railway to Christchurch, Then Transapline to Greyomout ( epic trip on a sunny day) the Franz Joseph Glacier and Queenstown. I absolutely loved it and hope to return From Devon UK. If you go you won't be disappointed I can assure you.
To much on food and drink and not enough about the actual places and there are some very beautiful places as spent best part of 2 years living and touring S. Island and loved every minute Is breath taking and makes you feel your in heaven as so idyllic.
@@DanegerAndStacey we'll definately reschedule, but book on the spot next time and go as soon as we can, then we'll just wing it when we get there. Had so much planned and so many good accommodation choices, but will probably just do a campervan if we have to wing it. I hope you guys get here soon. We are heading off to Carnarvon Gorge and Yeppoon instead now.
Glad you showed the icebergs on Lake Tasman.I did the boat tour on there and it was outstanding and breath taking! I think Farewell Spit and Doubtful Sound should have been on here too
I think all the shots along with the sperm whales were all majestic. Thanks you both for the great content, it was all interesting to watch and has to a very great experience especially in ur backyard.
Good quality videos but I miss the budget conscious street food loving couple. Now it’s all champagne and helicopters. No longer for me and the average to emulate.
No worries - each to their own 🤷🏼♂️ We literally talk about free walks, cheap food, $69 accom, beaches and waterfalls in this vid. If we could eat street food in SEA right now we would!

Superb video.
I will be visiting New Zealand for the third time in December 2024
We’re just counting down the days until we can visit from the UK! Your videos give us the bliss in the meantime ❤️

Great video - brought back many good memories. Did you visit the Cape Foulwind Tauranga Bay walkway - lighthouse seals etc😀
Thanks. Yes we've been to Cape Foulwind, in a video of ours somewhere from our NZ van life trips!

It’s not even worth having a drone these days 😞 You can see in the description, it’s supplied footage
My partner and I are going to NZ in a few weeks (first int trip since COVID) and this has been a great resource. Thanks guys!!
Great to hear! Hope you have/had an amazing time
Hello. May I ask in which month did u guys visit NZ?
Just watch, chill, get inspired, aim to save money so that one day I could take my family here 😍🥰🏔🌳

Very nice

It's definitely a stunning place, one of our favs in the world too!
How much did your trip cost in total?
Awesome video
Thanks so much 😊
I'm totally guilty of staying a the same accommodation chains when I travel places. Usually at a Top10
We did a fair bit of that when we had the campervan just for convenience but then balanced it out with something random/unique!
Ummm PS. You are doing your country so much justice 🥰
Aww thanks Emma! What a compliment 🥰 Appreciate that!
Noooooo, we were only 6 weeks off going and the bubble burst, so devastated 😢
