New Zealand accommodation is epic! The truth is, there isn’t one! Something that’s become pretty obvious over the years is everyone has different budgets for their travels and from vlog to vlog we get feedback that x was too expensive, or x was too budget - so it’s impossible to say there is one hotel or accommodation to rule them all. Glad you did! We always look so positively on travel experiences but wanted it to be relatable and real, that one negative element might be critical for some people so we thought it was important to share
Thanks to your beautiful videos and incredible information, I'm just back home from 3 weeks in NZ exploring Queenstown area, Hawke's Bay and Auckland with my daughter, and it's ALL because of you two gorgeous souls. If I'd never found you wayyyyy back (at least 3-4 years ago!), I'd never have known how to plan a NZ trip or where to stay. Queenstown is just incredible. Our first night in Lake Hayes was simply magical and as it was a clear night we saw the whole Milky Way and millions of stars. A real pinch me moment! We hired a car through Snap Rentals (via your car booking site recommendation in the Queenstown Guide) and the guys there were brilliant. Highly recommended. From a fantastic Airbnb in Queenstown, we explored Arrowtown, Glenorchy and so many other places we'd seen in your campervan trip as well as discovering our own hidden gems. Two nights in Twizel in the International Dark Sky Reserve was just epic! The perfect location to drive to Mount Cook and the glaciers, Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo. Simply magical - and memories made for a lifetime. In general in NZ, were also impressed with the amount of vegan/plant-based and gluten free options available, as well as tasty alcohol-free mocktails. Food shoutouts: 'Yonder' in Queenstown has the absolute best loaded pancakes - perfect after hiking the Tiki Trail! And Little Bird Cafe in Ponsonby, Auckland has THE best GF, plant-based menu ever! Oh, and TANK is a brilliant chain for plant-packed power smoothies on the go! Thank you again to both of you for all the work you put into your content to inspire and motivate people to explore the world. Now all I need to do is finish Dane's Video Editing course and create something magical with my own videos! 🥰✈xx

The algorithm is all kinds of weird sometimes. We've got a lot of South America content recently and it seems to have punished us a little, not fair, but that's the way it works. We just travel where we like and enjoy though. Either way - hope you have an amazing time in NZ

Love your work guys! As a kiwi, I especially love your NZ videos because the last few years has made me appreciate our amazing backyard more! I had no interest in travelling NZ because I thought I needed to get away to more exotic places. Now, I love exploring NZ and your videos have helped me so much with planning. I've used many of your recommendations. Loved the Oz series too and again used some of your recs! I think the NZ vids are maybe more appealing because so many people want to visit here. The Oz and Pacific Island vids are awesome for kiwis as these are the places which kiwis are highly likely to visit. I dunno, just my thoughts. Sorry for the novel, keep up the good work 😊

We like to be honest though so here it is - if you want an adventure, amazing people, small towns, great exploring, unbelievable nature and adrenaline stuff then it's NZ. If you want romance, relaxing and beautiful beaches then it's Greece.

I used to love their videos, but unfortunately now, most of their videos are "hidden" ads to accommodations.
Huh, which videos? 🤔 we haven’t shown any accom in probably months, there’s no hidden ad here (other than Surfshark, which is disclosed) and it’s literally in the title that this is about unique accommodation. Sucks to spend 20+ hours trying to be helpful and then get a comment like this 😞
We’re planning a trip to NZ in the near future and videos like this are extremely helpful in finding accommodation that we would never otherwise know about. So I appreciate the content. It is a travel channel after all.
