Amazing list 🖤! Anne Wilkes and Pennywise is a testament of how great Stephen King is in developing characters and when they are potrayed by amazing actors it is magical.I agree Hannibal Lecter has this appeal and magnetism even if you know he is dangerous.
This entire list start to finish reminds me of all of my favorite movies from when I was younger. I love that you had Demon Knight and Wish Master on there.
Great list Bryn.Kevin Spacey as John Doe in Seven is the only other character i can think of who would be in my top 10. You talked about the other iconic characters of the 90s.
Fantastic picks buddy. Finally someone likes Jack Frost as much as I do. Candyman is an iconic character. The jinn is super cool. Misery is so good. Sidney is awesome. Pennywise is a great character. Hannibal is amazing.
Hey, I finally guessed right on who would make your #1 haha! Pretty cool list in all, Bryn. I think I'd have Rie Ino'o , (Sadako) from 'Ringu' and Eihi Shiina, (Asami) from 'Audition on my list. Cheers, buddy.. see ya on the next one!
Hi Bryn Excellent picks there mate. Brandon Lee would be the stand out for me a brilliant performance in the Crow. A performance for me which in my opinion his the best in his career, his Nicolas cage in 8mm not exactly horror, but as horror elements in it, especially when you look at subject matter. Robert De Niro in the remake of Cape fear was really scary. Cheers mate
Another great list. No way anybody else in the 90s could be ranked higher than Hannibal. Clear number 1 choice for me too. So many good characters that decade. George Clooney in From Dusk til Dawn was good, Geoffrey Rush in House on Haunted Hill, James Woods in Vampires, Hulk Hogan in Gremlins 2 (just kidding but that was an awesome scene), David Cronenberg in Night Breed and Tim Robbins in Jacob's Ladder were all really good performances and characters. Looking forward to your 2000's list.
Haven't seen Jack Frost for years, so wil definitely have to revisit. Totally agree with you about Annie Wilkes, played so brilliantly and unforgettably by Kathy Bates! She definitely would have been my No, 1 choice for my top horror character of the 90's. Hannibal Lecter was certainly an equally awesome choice for your own No 1 spot. Great video, Bryn. Looking forward to the next one.
This might be a controversial one, especially as I'm not particularly a fan of Marvel movies myself, nor am I sure it truly counts as "horror", but I'd add "Blade" to my 90's list. The movie itself and Wesley Snipes' character really impressed me at the time. I was hoping Annie Wilkes would make the list, glad to see you added her here, she made me feel immensely uncomfortable in "Misery". Fantastic list once again 👍
The beeees! Lol! That is amazing that Tony did that. Candyman is brilliant, but I don’t watch it often. Recently, I watched 2022’s Hellblazers. That movie totally wasted Tony Todd and Billy Zane. It only had a few great moments. Demon Knight is awesome. Kathy Bates is brilliant and scary. The book Misery also gave me chills. I almost threw it across the room! Tasty choice for number one! Great vid 👍🏻🦇🦇🦇🦇🎥🎥🎥🎥
Haha, he really committed himself to that Candyman role. I haven't seen Hellblazers. Yeah, Misery is terrifying. I haven't read the book so can only imagine how scary it is. Haha, glad you like my number one. Thanks, Max!
Great video Bryn. I'm not sure I'll ever watch the Leprechaun films. The concept of a Leprechaun creeps me out, the trailers put me off too. I still haven't see the Wishmaster films. I'm kind of waiting for a 4K box set. Trev
And i thought the 80s list was good. Boom first reveal on the 90s list and im grinning 😀 love me some jack frost, leprechaun is the same for me 😅 great list mate 👌🏻
Fab list! Love to see my fav - Annie Wilkes in there. Your No 1 is fab! Do do you think you’ll check out The Crow remake? I’ll be seeing it as its own entity. No relation to the Brandon Lee one.
Hi Bryn a solid list for an undervalued decade. I’d throw in George Clooney as Seth Gecko from Dusk Till Dawn and Barbara from Night of the Living Dead remake is a proper good reimagining of a character that was maybe a little under developed in the original.
Another awesome video Brynn. Really like wishmaster, Andrew divoff plays that character so well. The crow just an amazing so poignant lovely story but the revenge is so sweet and well deserved, Brandon Lee was incredible in this film RIP. Never seen IT with Tim curry, have to buy that one and buy misery, have seen some clips looks tough to get through, but ill give it a whirl. Great characters, lists as always Brynn, doing well with these m8
Thanks very much for going through the series, Jamie. Yes, Brandon Lee was so good in The Crow. Misery is one of the most uncomfortable films I’ve seen!
At first as I was like, "Okay cool let's check this out" but now I can't wait for every list. I feel like I'm betting on the horses to see who wins lol
As usual, a thought provoking list. I laughed. I cried. I threw things. I came to accept the power of your beard. And again, I put on my thinking brain and gave it some thought. I was surprised how easily it was to start a list. Boon from Nightbreed. Reed from Sucker. Radu from Subspecies. Sadako from Ring. The Demonic Toys. Lionel from Dead Alive.
I went through the same emotions just reading your comment! Great suggestions. Not surprised to hear you say Nightbreed, but great to see some love for Demonic Toys.
Oh, The Crow was 1994? How did I see that at the cinema, I wasn't 18 in 1994. Hehehe, good memories of getting into the theatre to see it underage, and then going to get a beer... still underage, lol. The Crow was HUGE in my friend-group, mainly cos of what it represents... getting into movies underage! From a few years earlier I'd include Jim Garrison from JFK... it's a horror film for me as we were evacuated from the theatre due to an IRA bXXb, I didn't see the last hour until the mid 2000s, lol. Also, I'd include Killer BOB from Twin Peaks and Robert Loggia as Mr. Eddy/Dick Laurent from Lost Highway.
Ahh, sounds like fun memories of going to see The Crow. OMG, that JFK show sounds terrifying, it's a pretty intense film too! I've never seen either Twin Peaks or Lost Highway - really need to check them out.
Wow, okay. My list this time differs wildly from yours for the most part. Once again these are characters that I enjoyed a lot: George Stark - Timothy Hutton - The Dark Half Earl Basset - Fred Ward - Tremors Col. Ives/F.W. Colqhoun - Robert Carlyle - Ravenous Uncle Les - Ian Watkin - Braindead Torquemada - Lance Henricksen - The Pit and the Pendulum Wong Chi Hang - Anthony Wong - Bunman: The Untold Story The Tall Man - Angus Scrimm - Phantasm III and IV Agent Milton Dammers - Jeffrey Combs - The Frighteners Hessian Horseman - Christopher Walken - Sleepy Hollow Sadako Yamamura - Rie Ino’o - Ring Candyman is a load of rubbish. Totally agree. Very overrated. I know it’s very much a case of each to their own but I’ve tried several times with that movie and get nothing from it at all.
Great list, Cliff! It's fun to see some different suggestions. Timothy Hutton is really underrated in The Dark Half! Tremors is a lot of fun and Ravenous should get a lot more recognition. I didn't really enjoy The Untold Story but strangely, loved The Untold Story 2. Yes, for some reason, I just don't connect much with Candyman. Thanks for watching.
Hello, out there! Is the vid over? I'm still down here, and I'm still in quite a lot of pain. Maybe someone in the comments could call an ambulance. Oh! The pain is really quite severe. I have a bruised ego and it's killing me. Thank you very much, meanwhile back at H H where's the long haired lover from Liverpool from ... Ringu, oh you done it now Bryan She's gonna get you ... She's gonna get you in the next hour you get a phone call. whatever you do don't answer it! ... it be a foreign guy named Roger saying there's problem with your computer. Thank me later : }
Yesss! thank you! Musafa is now hudson stuck down in the egg chamber and Samara Morgan from ringa is abit annoyed with bryn she wasn't in his top 10 so she's gonna give a ring in 7 days ..see it all makes sense now ... l think : }
Could not agree more with this list, plus any list that features Brandon Lee is always good by me.
The 90s was awesome mate, have a great week mate👊
Thank you, mate. Brandon Lee was so cool, as was the 90’s! Have a great week 👍
@@horrorhands666 he sure was, I genuinely can't bring myself to watch the trailer for the remake mate
Honestly, it looks worse than what I imagined!
From 'coolest of all the decades' right to Jack Frost. Amazing segue, HorrorHands and another great list!
Haha, didn’t even mean to do that! Thank you, Jack!
Thank You for the GREAT List and Video 😀
No problem!
Amazing list 🖤! Anne Wilkes and Pennywise is a testament of how great Stephen King is in developing characters and when they are potrayed by amazing actors it is magical.I agree Hannibal Lecter has this appeal and magnetism even if you know he is dangerous.
Thank you! Yes, Stephen King creates some fantastic characters. Glad you agree with me about Hannibal Lecter.
This entire list start to finish reminds me of all of my favorite movies from when I was younger. I love that you had Demon Knight and Wish Master on there.
That's cool! :) Thanks for watching!

That's what Kevin Spacey said :slidewhistle:

Yes, he was great in that too 👍 Thanks, Stuart.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, Brandon Lee is extraordinarily good in The Crow. Two other great suggestions as well - 8mm has a very dark subject matter.
Jack Frost is so much fun. Glad you agree with about Annie Wilkes. I’d loved Anthony Hopkins’ performance as Hannibal. Thanks for watching.
Great work mate

Glad you liked it :) Thanks for watching.

Thanks, Vince! Glad you enjoyed it.
Fab list! Love to see my fav - Annie Wilkes in there. Your No 1 is fab!
Do do you think you’ll check out The Crow remake? I’ll be seeing it as its own entity. No relation to the Brandon Lee one.
Thank you, Lisa! I’m sure I’ll check out The Crow remake at some point…but I don’t like the look of it and it will always be Brandon Lee to me 🙂
Hi Bryn a solid list for an undervalued decade. I’d throw in George Clooney as Seth Gecko from Dusk Till Dawn and Barbara from Night of the Living Dead remake is a proper good reimagining of a character that was maybe a little under developed in the original.
Thanks, Film Wolf! Seth Gecko is a great suggestion. I actually prefer the Night of the Living Dead remake to the original.
Annie in the book is even more insane and bloodthirsty.Compared to her Annie in the movie is innocent child!
Wow, I didn't know that! It's one of the few Stephen King books I haven't read so must get round to it at some point :)
Great list mate. I'd have Candyman at number one. It's my favourite horror film of the 90s.
Cool! Glad you enjoy it so much, mate. Thanks for watching.

Yes, I loved the first two Wishmasters but 3 and 4 weren't great. Thanks for watching!
