HOTKEYS
Alt + S - Size Hair Strand Segments
CTRL + T - Rotate / Twist Hair Segments
S - Size | Pair with G+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it moves, quickly)
G - Move | Pair with G+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it moves, quickly)
R - Rotate | Pair with R+(Axis such as X,Y,Z to control in which direction it rotates, quickly)
+ CTRL to move in increments
E - Extrude | Adds in an extra segment when using a path, or an extra face in general
A - Selects all
Alt+Z - Xray Mode
Shift + D - Duplicate Objects
L - Selects all linked faces / vertices
P - Seperate Selected Objects
Ctrl + L - Helps in linking materials, copying modifiers to different objects quickly and more.
Proportional Editing - Its the round ringy thing here, helps you move multiple vertices quickly and smoothly. (When you use G/R or any moving tool)

WHEN SHE MOVES THE PATH AROUND YOURS MIGHT LOOK DIFFERENT BECAUSE THE TRIANGLE MIGHT TILT INWARDS NOT OUTWARDS E.G. SHE HAS HER POINTY PART OUTWATDS BUT YOURS MAY BE INWARDS. TO STOP THIS GO TO EDIT MODE ([TAB]) THEN ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE THERE ARE TOOLS, GO ON TILT [CTRL + T ] AND SELECT THE POINTS YOU WNAT THE TRIANGLE TO BE STICKING OUTSIDE

I wont lie girl, this tutorial is just too vague for beginners, you don't show how you get from making that 1 Nurbspath to how you made the curves or anything else, you completely left out the whole ACTUAL hair modelling process.
Yes as I mentioned placing each strand is something that takes a lot of time (this hair took me around 4-5 hours for reference), and each hair differs on every inspiration used so there is no one trick thing that works for all, the only reason I included the speedmodel was to make the overall workflow a bit clearer.
also strand placement really just comes with practice aswell the tutorial is just a means to help people get started, I tried to include everything that was needed to get started like how to make the hair strand, shaping the hair to getting it ready for roblox, but lmk if theres anything i can do to better explain it I might be remaking this tutorial later on 🫶
yeah i get you, what i mean though is you didnt show how you went from having the long triangle to having a curved edge which forms the strand!! @@arcaniqxis
@@Spoonieesthe nurbspath is the strand though, after the path is linked with the triangle you just move around the path segments to make the hair shape. Am I misunderstanding something? 😭 2:32
@@arcaniqxis yess i dont know how to explain it because i dont know the terminology or what youre doing, what i mean is you dont show how to get the 4 points on the hair, or how to mirror it to the other side!! you showed how to make the triangle which is great but not how to curve it etc
Hey as a beginner, this whole process was extremely confusing and i could get past 0:56 because it was a little too unclear..
at the bottom right corner, you can see what keys they press on their keyboard for different tools which you can also read about in the desc
ok this tutorial is NOT beginner friendly because i didnt understand shit after the video even started. Ive been trying to resize the stupid path for ages and it didnt flow as easily as shown. I suggest using another tutorial for anyone else whos confused

i want to use more realistic rigs for my roblox game (like the ones in dress to impress). does it matter if i use those specific rigs in blender or should i just use a blocky character first?
you can use any rig that you want the hair to be optimized for

Wait what how did u make the hair point and how did u add more vertexes? atleast give us the tutorial how to finish a strand of hair!!
Extrude to add extra segments/vertices and ALT+S to size the hair segment down to make a point, more hotkeys are in the desc
everytime i move the path is expands and nearly blows up my pc, i may or may have not messed up somewhere
its cool, its just the tutorial isnt on HOW to make the hair, its just how to make the base part for the hair. Kinda some beginners want to try their hand at making it too, but this tutorial doesnt show how to make it curve or how to customize some parts of the hair and stuff. It only tells in the description on the keybinds how to do it, but doesnt demonstrate slowly (for beginners) in the video.
As a kinda beginner, i think this video was hard to follow and I don't understand most of it. Or perhaps I have a skill issue and i should stick to scripting games instead T.T
@@Mioriri hii it's more of a workflow vid than an in-depth tutorial I guess and ideally, it would be easier for you if you're used to blender but regardless this video covers everything that I do in the process of making hair like making the curve/path etc.
And as for the strand placement / breakdown on how to customise the hair that entirely depends on the person making it and comes with practice for the most part and takes a while to do too, also, you could slow down the video if you'd like a slower version youtube wouldn't let me upload a longer version at the time I posted this so I sped it up

I don't see the "convert" option TT
select the object/s you wanna convert (right click) > "object" (upper left side of your screen, under the topbar) > choose "convert" within the choices and convert it to what u want (curve, mesh, etc.)

you need to join the strands first before merging (using ctrl+j), lmk if that fixes
