i've been doing ugc since around a year and I get comms thru servers, twitter etc. and the value depends on each model it goes from 40-200k per hair usually

This is to make the workflow clearer, to help people get started

The non-sped up version was 6-7 hours long, would you prefer to watch a lecture that long on me placing each segment at a different place? Since its going to be different for you anyway because it differs for each hair and reference

@@arcaniqxis obviously no one's asking to see the full process in real time. but you titled the video "how to make ugc hair for roblox" and then didnt even explain how it works. you could have explained the tools and process of how you do things, like how you actually shaped and sculpted the hair. but instead you just showed a speed model. why not just name the video "roblox ugc speed model"

​@@ephemeraIl There are annotations in the yt video on every important step, and all hotkeys+notes on shortcuts I used are in the description. That is a tutorial video even if its not hand-holding you throughout, I feel most the things are pretty self-explanatory once you work on something side by side

I'm really not sure how to explain it but I just placed the segments in that manner 0:12 and made different variants of curls to see what would look best on the 3d model

@@kawaiipotatoYT. do ctrl+t on all of the strand segments to flip it back to normal and keep trying till you get the curls right, the flip thing really sucks when doing curls 😭

in curve data properties, you just turn down the resolution then go in manually to dissolve edgeloops

Hii I just merged the white and black hair textures I made and motion blurred it together to make it smoother

if you mean what app I'm using, its blender

if you mean segments, select the 2 segments that you want to have the new segment in between of > right click > subdivide

its a custom photoshop brush i got from etsy, theres many hair edges brushes on there

Yea same, I would suggest doing the donut tutorial before even attempting to do this because its just so vague and could be misunderstood so easily

select the object/s you wanna convert (right click) > "object" (upper left side of your screen, under the topbar) > choose "convert" within the choices and convert it to what u want (curve, mesh, etc.)

I don't know about this creator but I know for myself I will have a window that keeps a silhouette (flat shaded) and I can keep an eye if the silhouette changes. Then I know where or where not to decimate things.

As the person above said, I spot reduce using (alt shift select) to select every alternate edge loop and dissolve in certain spots so as to keep the form the same while using the least amount of geometry

@@zombii7325 you turn down the curve resolution down to around 4 and then turn to mesh and dissolve edge loops
