    Are crampons needed for walks/hiking (e.g.: your #3)? Or proper winter boots are enough?

    Do you carry bear spray if going on hikes in the popular areas? Also, how difficult is it to park at Lake Louise in the winter? Thanks for this very helpful video.

    • @caitlinlaurent
      @caitlinlaurent  24 дня назад

      @@iamirish4361 100%! It’s all still bear country and hikers have been stalked in popular areas like moraine lake before so always carry it because you never know!
      Also, parking in winter is usually easier and free, but there’s never a guarantee, especially around busy times x

    Hi! I will be at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel in December for a week. It will be for my birthday week. I would love to see the Northern lights. Do you know if I can see it from the hotel?

    • @caitlinlaurent
      @caitlinlaurent  Год назад +1

      Hello! How exciting, happy birthday! If they are strong you may be able to see them from the hotel, but anywhere with less light pollution will be better :)

      @@jkphotography9757 very short! It’s a 20m walk

    Hi, how long do you recommend to stay in Banff? I am planning to visit near Christmas.

    • @caitlinlaurent
      @caitlinlaurent  2 месяца назад

      Ideally no less than 4 days but it truly depends on what you want to see and do! You could stay for weeks (or years in my case) and still not run out of things to see and do :)
