You forgot the fact that Friesland has a ridiculous amount of AA 😂. I also would consider Azuma: it’s not an easy ship to play but it pays off for it
I am ready to sell Azuma. And any other heavy cruiser at the tier, after getting Siegfried.

Odin is overlooked imo. Odin has decent AA whereas the rest of the KMS bb’s don’t. It also has 5km hydro and torpedos that are far less likely to be knocked out than those on the Tirpitz since they’re at the very end of the ship. Having an Odin with a lot of hp in the late game is extremely helpful.
The Krazny Krim is my most played ship! It is super fun! Guns pointing in every direction. Turning circles in the back of the map allows you to bring all of the guns online one after the other, creating a Gattling Gun effect of HE flying downrange burning BBs down. Lower tier players don't know how to aim at a circling light cruiser. Just tons of fun!

I love my Roma, accurate and hard-hitting. I remember one match where I was the last standing person on my team being chased by a cruiser and a Colorado, and I was able to sink both with just my rear turret.
The amount of times my secondary builds have saved me from destroyers and cruisers.

Friesland is for all those times you get harassed by the enemy DDs OR aircraft carriers and you just want to make them cry. Seriously, AA build Friesland can be very cathartic if you see carriers everywhere (and hate them as much as I do)
Man I got like 70 aircraft in my Friesland love that boat it shreds
Park that Friesland 5.1k from the carrier and watch the clear skies roll in. Had over 50 shot down with that ship.

It is worth mentioning Friesland has one of the best AA. Easy to upgrade to 100. And this is the best counter DD at the tier. I am scared of this thing.
Suzuya is probably the best free XP light cruiser. But way way below, let's say, Ochakov.

All global exp means to me is either I don't feel like grinning the rest of a crappy ship to get a better one, looking at you gneisenau, or like every year and a half I get a "free" boat that may or may not suck. So far I've got Massachusetts and Atlanta fgr global and was mildly disappointed in both of them. They both have things they're good at but it's nothing I can't really get from a tech tree ship. Massachusetts is basically an uptiered N. Carolina with secondaries that kinda do something once in awhile and Atlanta is a floating devstrike waiting to happen that can wreck destroyers but lacks the range for much else. Both ships are probably a lot more fun in a division, I'd imagine.
I’ve been grinding to the Petro and I must say, some of that line was too painful not to boost it.

I am not a BB player and I still say Hyuga is must buy which is why I got it. I was rather surprised that you skipped over her.
I had Eugen before they balanced hipper and eugen and other than making money theres really no need to have or run eugen.
My only GXP ship is the USS Mass and she's great.
I've had 200K games with full sniper Sims builds, and full secondary Lee builds (10.4km secondaries + running w/ scissors SLAPS)
Leaning Alabama for my 2nd GXP...
Also pondering: Yudachi, Yolo Emilio, Suzie, or Kutozov -- thoughts?
Kutuzov used to be nasty but is heavily power crept and shadowed by the ochakov and the Mainz. I regret buying the Kutuzov. Suzy is decent but has a higher skill floor. Very unforgiving.
I have Massa, Tirpitz and Yolo.
Got the Yolo a few weeks ago and simply love it. It asks for a specific playstyle, with a balance between preserving HP and full aggression.
Enemy is pushing:
You can be a scalpel and cut out the strongest enemy capital ship right outta their push. Which let the push collapse quite some times. And/or you can be a total wrecking ball and run into a bulk of ships with your exhaust smoke screen ("rolling smoke") and kill two or three of them no matter their health.
If you mess up, you're mostly dead or crippled. But damn it is rewarding when you balance aggression and time it just right. So good, I love the ship.
I should not that Suzuya really is meant to kite, you can’t really push with it in the current meta or you will be deleted very quickly. I don’t find much enjoyment in a cruiser I cannot be aggressive with or doesn’t have a radar but it is definitely an elite fire spammer.
@@G19Jeeper I'm actually considering Suzy or Atago with the next 750k GXP. Or Friesland.
I usually enjoy BBs and DDs, learning cruisers more and more. I like unique, different playstyles too.
What would you recommend?
@@mikemyon3570 I bought Friesland as my last GXP ship about a month ago and it is really fun if you’re into aggressive DD play. It’s hard to carry in it but you can absolutely destroy enemy DDs and it’s insane AA is a huge plus

Only GXP ships I'm considering for is Massachusetts's sister Alabama, Yuudachi, or Loyang.
Fun fact for Loyang is that its not just a Benson class clone credit machine.
It's got the historical buff as it actually existed irl, and *was* leadship Benson herself transferred to the RoC sometime after WWII.
So yes. Tier 6 tech tree USS Benson got uptier'd and moved to the Pan Asian faction kek.

Mogami
Mogami is the only one that’s rather similar.
Mogami has the same hull, is a bit less agile and has 203mm guns instead of Suzuyas 155’s (which means a Mogami salvo hits harder but the reload is longer).

I got Odin a couple of weeks ago and I regret it so badly I already own Brandenburg Zieten and Bismarck at Tier 7 so it was a total waste.
I wish there was a refund system in this game because for 750k GXP and not being able to refund it after 1 game is a shame.
Odin was my first GXP ship. Give it more chance. You can't really judge a ship by just playing 1 game.
I love that ship. Play at least 20 games per ship then you can fairly judge it from that.
don't nay nay the krispy kreme, I've had some awesome games in that thing.....no one sees you as a serious threat, if you keep your distance, add mods to make it shoot fast reload and range....you can burn down the world. I had half the team after me already, end game, keep chasing idiots.....3 BBs and a cruiser....they all ate shit one by one. the Last bb broke off pursuit when he saw all his buddies die one by one eating torps and burning to death.
Odin is a T7 Scharnhorst what are you talking about. It’s a cruiser in battleship form and it smacks when played correctly. Can’t always play the Iowa, Lenin, and Yammy, sometimes the other tubs are secretly good in their own right like the Duncan or Hawke, Rupprecht, Amagi* yes😂, Gascogne, Champagne, 😅 and the Karl Johan. Hey it’s just another cruiser in a battleship body lol Ppl get upset when every ship of every nation doesn’t play the same…Elbings a CA, Mikasa is a BB, like learn to play the ship not judge it from one poor game. You won’t suddenly be magic johnson in a bought ship. 🎉

It ain’t I have it with Tesla with a 15 second reload and I still can’t get good games in it the guns don’t punch enough, I’d rather take out Brandenburg every single time.

@@WaffentragerVII stalingrad with a full range build can have a range over 20 km. With high pens and velocity. Perfect for sniping. Hayate is a fun combo of hard hitting guns with some decent torps. Personally, I'd get the stalingrad or even the elbing

About 8 or 9 months
got 4 so far, 3 containers and stupidly bought repluse, dont buy that crap heap whatever you do. tripitz is not bad, however pommern, one I wouldnt have chosen is awesome, bigger tougher badder brother to tripitz.
Hayate, Mass & Atlanta best gxp ships imo. I got 2.5 mil gxp and not wasting on these old ships. They gotta add more ships.
I was mildly disappointed in both. They're not bad just not much there I can't get from tech tree ships. Both seem more like division or meme ships.

@@G19Jeeper its a mean little dd hunter and probably fun in a div with spotting. Other than that I haven't found much use for Atlanta. Guns are short and floaty as heck and torp range is bad and its fragile. As someone who is practically a light cruisers main now Atlanta is a ship I WANT to like.
I wish they would add all the global ships as purchasable ships like they did with Atlanta. I have money, but no time, so I want to be able to straight buy the Tirpitz and the Odin to enjoy them.
