Douma never really had emotions and he never regretted anything he did when he died. Kaigaku only ever thought of himself as superior than Zenitsu. Yes, he couldnt do the first form of thunder breathing and bullied zenitsu but even as a demon he still had this mindset that zenitsu was trash compared to him. It never shows him having any remorse for it either
