With how many serious, sad, and badass moments there are in this show, it’s hard to believe how funny it is sometimes. This is probably my favorite anime.
I legitimately found this amv because of the song, and had no prior idea of what this show was. I am now 100% going to watch this show so that I can see all of these awesome moments in context!

I thought he was the MC for 4 years lol. Until I actually started watching like a week ago, I never saw anything on Atsushi the actual MC lol. It was always Dazai, maybe some chuuya
Tbh he kinda is. What the authors have done with bsd is that we see the world through atsushis perspective but the "hero" so to say of the show is Dazai. Other animes do this as well. They probably did it this way so that they could keep secrets about Dazai and make him all 'mysterious' - because if we saw the world through his perspective his genius wouldn't be as shocking and he wouldn't be as elusive as all his thoughts would be told to us. I like it like this personally, but I wish we could have a small section of a season told through dazai's perspective, kinda like what they did with odasaku.
I’ve seen videos where people just use one continuous scene and putting music to it. Seriously, amvs are great ways to show off editing skills. They are worth it

The timing for the sound effects was reall spot on. Usually, I don't actually enjoy having the sound from the anime showing up in the amv, but that was incrdibly well used to help the song bits pop. Your editing is amazing.
A lot of people don't do it right but this is a good example of I done right. Sometimes it just doesn't go with the song do it doesn't go over well. This fits it perfectly! Other times it's done to loudly over the song so sounds weird. They balanced it out very well. It also can just not have to right timing for the clip or sound effects to come in.

I love how you make these types of amvs where you use the sfx of the clips and match it up w the music it’s so satisfying to watch and listen to! Also I like how you do the symmetry (for a lack of a better word) between the clips, like stomps w stomps and slams with slams right after each other it’s so pleasing thank you for creating these amazing works of art ❤️❤️❤️
3 years later, and I still hold that this is the greatest and most satisfying amv edit I have ever seen. It was revolutionary when it sync edits (and I mean like action sync edits, with show scrubbing to find fitting scenes, instead of just splicing scenes together to make it fit) were just beginning to take off, and now, still holds its place among modern edits.

Eve Campbell A lot of BSD characters are references to different books and movies. In fact quite a few of them are named after real life people. Dazai was an author who's writings mainly centered around loss and suicide, no longer human was about a man hiding his self destructive tendencies and sadness behind a mask of joviality. Atsushi is based off of a author who wrote short stories based on classic Chinese literature. One of his works, "Sangetsuki" is about a person with the ability to turn into a tiger, and that’s just scraping thre surface. It’s actually really cool

Eve Campbell A lot of BSD characters are references to different books and movies. In fact quite a few of them are named after real life people. Dazai was an author who's writings mainly centered around loss and suicide, no longer human was about a man hiding his self destructive tendencies and sadness behind a mask of joviality. Atsushi is based off of a author who wrote short stories based on classic Chinese literature. One of his works, "Sangetsuki" is about a person with the ability to turn into a tiger, and that’s just scraping thre surface. It’s actually really cool

I’ve been listening to this nonstop for the past two days. This is by far one of my favorite amvs, the way the sfx goes with the music is amazing and I can’t get enough of it. 11/10 amv right here.
After 4 years and a few more seasons still is the best AMV for this anime.

Literally whenever I see an amv this good I have to appreciate it... sound effect on point
I saw this on my yt recommended, clicked on it and started watching. And after just a few seconds I had to check "wait, is this a by pingvi edit or???", and it wasn't which I was very surprised by. Honestly this is such a great edit you have made and the fact that it reminds me of by pingvi edits is even more amazing, as she is a really great editor herself. The transitions, the sfxs, the matchmaking with the lyrics are fucking amazing and I'm just baffled honestly.
I hope to see more content from you, as even if I'm not a big fan of BSD currently, I'd certainly still watch your edits regardless whether they'd be for a fandom I'm currently in or not or even a show I've never watched before. Thank you for blessing us with this amazing edit and I can't wait to see more from you.
