im going through some hard times at the moment fighting Leukaemia loss of family and friends but listening to this help me stay calm get back to fighting for life and understanding that people need to see the old me the tough guy not the person falling apart thank you mick and gypsy tales
I searched for "surfing podcast" and went for shane's dorian one at first. Couldn't hear for 5 minutes, the interviewers were just licking the guy and he was all about how soft the world has become. Mick's was just the opposite. He doesn't assume he is right, he accepts his weaknesses and low moments and that he struggles with normal things (and still thrives). That's the real thing
The best surfing style ever, first time saw him surfing in Dbah was amazing.. grew up watching his movies back days and today I can watch him frothing in Dbah. Thanks legends for the podcast 🔥🚀
Stephen Colbert said: "having a kid is like walking around with your heart outside of your body." You try your best to keep them safe, while at the same time knowing in the back of your mind that you couldn't be more vulnerable.
Gypsy Tales is one of the few pods that I will watch/listen to even if i know zero info about the guest. The interviews aren't traditional and boring, its more like 2 dudes chatting and the fans get to be a fly on the wall. I never followed surfing so I didnt know anything about him personally or professionally........ but what a super interseting dude with such a cool, laid back attitude!! Gypsy Tales never(legit never!) disappoints and I appreciate the time and effort u put into it ✌️
@@lucaswatt7213 Jase is the man, he really has some of the most interesting guests on and he gets the most out of them! I'm watching the ep with Justin Barcia right now, and as usual it's another killer one. Tbh tho the fact that Gypsy Tales only has 22.6k subs is just crazy........ the content is so good it should easily have 500k+ subs, at least in my humble opinion 😁
Fano talking about Kelly and his mental approach to the game was a great insight. Appreciate you for sharing this conversation. Some gems from mick in this one
I wish you could interview Mick Campbell. Almost a world champ in 1998 and now has fallen on some hard times from what I've read. I stayed at house that he was at during the 2003 Pipe Masters and he was a pretty solid guy.
Mick that point about walking and counting makes total sense to me it’s calming I get anxiety to and will practice this daily it’s so powerful thanks for a great podcast
Im from england just back from a holiday in the gold coast everybody threre was so laid back and friendly completely different to home, and mick seems just the same laid back and humble what a bloke
Cooly kids all had slater traits. I think the NDEs, not drinking & active meditation helped Mick win titles & stay humble too. Surfing makes people stronger & it can help manage the chaos in land life, the ocean humbles people to handle or master the elements & chaos too.
Youre drivers have nothing to be ashamed off. The Giz is probably one of the craftiest steerers in the world. First time watching Nascar myself but how strong are those cars. I wish the V8 supercars here could handle the contact like those things do..
I saw Julian as at the beach once and there was a trail of about 6 beautiful girls just following him around and he was totally oblivious to it. It was hilarious.

BTW, all the other pros were on the beach as well, but no girls were following them around.

It was such a joke when Mick Fanning got spanked by those Brazilian immigrants at lowers contest Mick Fanning ego couldn't take it
