      A lot of homes seem to be filled with the worst sort of ostentation. This was the exact opposite, perhaps a little too understated, though. I find nothing more elegant than bespoke moulding in white to complement a modern interior; it adds splendid character. It is a pity they "toned down" the moulding throughout. That said, the stagers did an excellent job, in that the space is not personal and you can appreciate the volume of the rooms.

    In all the years that I have been looking at these houses online, I have to say this is the perfect house that I been looking for. It's a beautiful balance between traditional and modern, But it's absolute perfection for Chicago congratulations to you guys who posted and made this video and to those who design this house, BRAVO!👏👏❤❤

    • @Texasgrrl77
      @Texasgrrl77 4 года назад +1

      @Taylor You have no idea what my dreams are. They aren't what you describe. I don't want a mansion and I don't have a desire to live by the ocean. But there are plenty of people who do have a dream like you describe and so what!? Why does that bother you so much? Not everyone wants what you want and vise versa. Live and let live.

    Those homes have no land around them. You can reach out the window & touch the house next door. Not for me no matter what it has!

    this looks amazing and has a home feeling despite being a large home. and I'd ask the neighbours if i could plant trees along the side of their house, i don't want my windows facing a brick wall. it's a shame it's in Chicago though.

    Half of the house looks to a brick wall. Otherwise it is beautiful but would be too big for us.

    Wow. Tastefully designed, elegant interior and with an elevator for older family members. Gorgeous stairwell and wood trimming throughout. The only thing I do not like about this townhouse, besides its location in Chicago, is that raw wood ceiling in the living area. But a good interior designer could alter that ceiling to make it harmonize with the elegant interior.

      Contrast from all that white is good.

    • @gonefishing3644
      @gonefishing3644 4 года назад +1

      @@markblix6880 Agreed. I am not a big fan of boring white paint on walls and ceilings. Nor am I a big fan of exposed raw wood beams or of weathered barn wood cladding on walls or ceilings except in a log cabin. I would have preferred to see a plastered ceiling with decorative medallion above a suspended light fixture plus crown molding and would like the ceiling to be painted a pale slivery blue to contrast with matte white trim work.

      @markblix6880 4 года назад

      @@gonefishing3644 Can't go with the crown mouldings and medallions. It's been done before. Natural wood is good. What would Mary and Abe do with you? They had both. They may have put you through the spanking machine for not liking log cadins.

    As a former lifelong Lincoln Park resident, this House is Elegant, Smartly Designed and Just Plain Gorgeous!!!
    Very generous and spacious! ( City lots are normally 25’ wide but this appears to be an “oversized “ lot )
    Great Job for a “new” built🫶🏼👏🏻

    HILARIOUS! I am dead!! He said the kitchen has "normal bells and whistles": Sub-Zero, Wolf, & Bosch. DUDE! Those are not normal in any house under $1.5M. I really wasn't feeling this house. Especially the master floor suite. Walking into your bedroom, but first you must pass walk-in closets and the master bath. I get that the bedroom is in very back, but like most ppl your closet looks like a hurricane hit it during the week. I don't want to walk into a whirlwind of clothes everywhere, everyday until I get a chance to tidy up.
