He doesn’t know music Monica is not diverse that’s all brandy lol Brandy’s dipped and dabble into every genres and almost every vocal style Monica has stayed in her R&B lane and that’s what helped her radio presence.

I feel like Brandy’s not getting the proper treatment here. I understand where your coming from as far as people not giving Monica her props as a vocalist TODAY! But brandy is really the underdog that’s what makes her success so special because out of three she is the one people doubted and critique the most: her music, her voice, her acting, her looks etc

I’m sorry did you mixed up the albums you were listening to? Brandy had the better balance of uptempo,mids and ballads. I disagree what he said about her, Monica doesn’t come outta her comfort zone imo.

He’s an unregistered Brandy hater lol but in all seriousness Monica’s melodic presence was definitely felt much more on THe Boy is Mine than Miss Thang. I gave her a point for switching up her dynamic in comparison to her last album. Brandy was the most consistent between her first 2 albums-textured vocals, experimental melodies, and just overall better musicality

Yes Monica stayed with Clive for a very long time but ask any real fan of hers she should’ve left a long time ago for the same reasons brandy left Atlantic (mistreatment and not enough promotion).

Ntm on Whitney, I know that much…Brandy in fact has way more vocal control than Aaliyah. Aaliyah was mainly known for her style and image, not her vocals. It doesn’t take away from her voice which isn’t bad.
