In our today's class we are going to learn how to create crystal ball effect / glass ball effect in a picture using Adobe Photoshop. Following are the number of steps involved in creating glass ball effect in Photoshop:
Step 1:
Open an image of wallpaper at which you want to apply crystal ball effect. Create a circle in the middle of the wallpaper.
Step 2:
Unlock the background layer and make 2 coppies of background layer. Select the upper layer and go to the Filter - Distort - spherize and apply it. Adjust the size of this layer according to circle.
Step 3:
Clipmask the sphere layer on the circle.
Step 4:
Apply inner shadow and gradient effects according to the given settings on circle layer.
Step 5:
Apply Gaussian blur at the background layer.
Step 6:
Make shadow under the sphere glass according to the instructions.
