I am currently rehabbing from complete knee replacement. 57 years old and I consider myself an athlete and employed as an electrician. My life is very physical. I met your checklist very early in my recovery. Golf rehab included. Putting at 2 weeks. Full swings at 6 weeks. Working up from small wedge swings at 4 weeks, no ball contact, At 8 weeks I am taking full swing drivers in my golf rehab or as I like to call it Recreational Rehab. I am still not ready to take it to the course. This is because of the walking on uneven terrain. Going up hill is tough but not as taxing on the body as walking downhill. Walking Up and Down grades to the the T boxes and greens is what can be underestimated. Part of my rehab is just going out to the course and hanging out with my league. Getting in and out of the cart walking up to t boxes and greens without even presenting the stress of swinging a club. I have a t time at 9 weeks for 9 holes as my first time out. I also have goals of bowling this fall as well. Bowling will be 11 weeks post op. I will definitely be checking out your content.
Awesome! Fantastic work Eric! Keep it up. If you're ever interested we could do a RUclips video where you talk about your process in returning to golf from knee replacement
Hello, I just watched your video. I had my right knee replaced in October of ‘21 and my left replaced in January’23. I was able to get back to golf after my first knee replacement with the help from my PT in Columbus, Ohio. I am thinking I need to approach getting back this time more carefully. Good news is I and flexing 0 to 129 degrees, less pain and can walk at least half mile. I think I should use your videos to help me advance to be able to golf by July 4, 2023 as a goal. Please send a coupon and how I any find your series of videos. Thanks, Dennis.
Hi Dr Joe, I had TRKR on 12/1/23, so almost 7 weeks po. I turned 60 on 12/8 and am very active, playing golf, lifting moderate weights, outside bike training. I came across your channel while searching for exercises to do to get ready after the replacement. Very interested in more information and the coupon code for your program. Golf season is coming and I want to be prepared for what lies ahead. Thanks!
Sorry, I haven't really not put much thought into that. I just want to be able to swing a club first off. I am actually going to a simulator this weekend and am hesitant on swinging the driver and 3-wood for fear they will put more pressure on my knee when I try to get after it a bit. @@DigitalGolfandTennisDoc
