I understand people saying that the best player we've ever seen was yay on chamber meta, but we must remember that aspas was the one that won champions against that same yay, and his performance at the finals was insane
Aspas just outplayed yay in the finals. Yay depended on the chamber meta, when chamber got nerfed, yay disappeared, and now he's playing on a 2nd tier team.
@@pedrosuyamaavellar_437 Yay didnt depend on it. it was just such a dominant meta that he just invested himself into it. Also the only reason he is on a tier 2 team is because of C9's bad management. Yay is literally the goat
Derke has been slept over for way too long also... Now that his team is actually winning is gettiing the recongnition he deserves. Aspas been a beast since day 1 too anyway

When you were talking about most decorated player, you forgot to mention Chronicle. He won international events with Gambit and Fnatic and is the only person with 2 trophies
Just to remember you. Aspas won champs in 2022 over yay. So it is not from this year...Last year he was more dominant than yay , but you guys only look to your own region.
Huh? Champs is one tournament. Optic and Yay had better placement last year. 1st at Iceland. Third at Copenhagen and Second at Champs. So Optic literally just was more dominant than Loud for the year.
@@Ninekillaa The most important one. CHAMPS. At Reykjavík the mvp was marved. At Copenhagen the MVP marved. Final MVP from champs? Aspas. And loud was 13 0 at regional Optic didnt even won americas. And if you look at impact stats aspas had a better kd and first kills than yay the whole 2022. ps : we are discussing yay and aspas not loud and optic.
@@abutr3 Riot tries to market Champs as the biggest tournament but there is nothing in the format that makes it more competitive than any other masters tournament. In my eyes masters and champs hold the same value. From the way you're talking sound like you think Marved was the best player of 2022, which you can make a fair argument for. Loud owned Brazil because there was 0 competition, Americas was way more competitive than Brazil 2022. Also like you said we discussing yay and aspas so why evem bring up there regional win record? All that to say, for me and most people Yay was the highest impact player of 2022 with Aspas being #2. There is no disrespect being #2 to Yay, he was a beast
@@Ninekillaa For sure both are beasts and this is not even in discusion, But in terms of impact IMO aspas MADE the impact for loud. Americas was not that more competitive than brazil. You may ask pros how it was like in lockin scrimming with second and first tier teams. For me masters are like MSI , and Champs are like WORLDS , or bringing to CS , masters are like IEM and Champs like Majors. So i disagree in the weight similarity.
Idk if we should be deciding who best player is based on their ability to get kills. Ofc "best player" is different per meta season e.g yay for chamber, aspas/derke for jett, but there's the other roles to consider and igls.
That's exactly what I was saying when I mentioned Marved and Mako, you could have made arguments for them being the best player last year, even tho Yay was dominating on Chamber, those 2 got so much value for their teams in different ways I wouldnt fault you if you thought they were better/more impactful
i think you approached it in a wrong way, the case for aspas can be argued because he is top 3 player in the world for 3 years, he was the runner up to yay dominance and he took over from champions onwards
Sorry, but Derke is better overall and idk how you didn't mention him in this video. Aspas is amazing but just go look at Derkes stats in the last 3 months compared to Aspas.. and he has a better agent pool being able to play Raze. Aspas 1.21 rating 1.4 KD and 1.56 adr while Derke Jett 1.47 with 1.44 kd and a crazy 182.3 adr.. Derke smokes stat wise but people overlook him as per usual since the loudest voices are in Americas.
You mentioned that he is OTP Jett, but don’t you guys see that this agent is omega overpowered? It works for Aspas and Derke both, this agent just has way too much and it’s an only agent that has useful passive skill which is insane and Jett overall should be reworked but seems like whole Valorant community doesn’t really care

Hey man Im trying my best here
Less is better tbh. Just not as flashy and thats why people think aspas is better.
