This video popped up into my feed and after watching it I checked out your channel. Only 6k subs for such high quality videos? It shocked me loll. I feel like in no time you'll get a good following as your analasys keeps me entertained throughout the video. Never once did I look away. I'm not sure if it's the editing or just the storytelling but you kept me hooked, something a lot of val analasys channels fail to do Keep up the work!!!
Cant tell you how happy I am to hear how much you enjoyed my video! I just love vct and have a passion for cinema and storytelling, why not try to combine the two I thought haha!
The analysis, the highlighting of the players, the story, the music, everything was so good. Just found your channel today and I’m a fan now. Looking forward for future vids
Great video dude. The analysis was incredible on the faults of the previous roster. This is a really small nitpick but one I thought was worth mentioning, S0m used to play smokes for NRG during his tenure in 2021 during the second or third challengers split, I think it's when they picked up android to play duelist. It was only for a couple months which is why most people don't remember. I think he spoke on stream at some point that it was more comfortable for him while he learned the pacing for entry duelist unless I'm just pulling that out of my ass.
Glad you enjoyed the video. What you said about Som on smokes after android joined seems right, but my 2021 vct memory is getting murky at this point lol.
Amazing points brought up in the vid! In NRG's defense, I will say I think they know what they're doing. It may even be a kind of parallel situation to that of PRX, and I can see the concern for many when it comes to the IGL situation. However, I think Ethan graduating from world champion with his amount of skill, flexibility, and experience is really the next up-and-comer to fill the shoes of a master level IGL. On top of that, Marved has IGLing experience, and FNS even stated that Victor and Crashies have amazing calls as well especially for mid rounding. Plus Ethan already knows how Demon1 plays and those 2 are probably what I would consider the strongest duo right now in VCT history. Ethan isn't shot calling alone, he has great support and great experienced players by his side so if all goes right, I think NRG will experience amazing success!! This Optic x EG collab team for 2024 is a fever dream
My one complaint is the agent select issue you were talking. Nearly all the top teams have people playing super flexible in both agents and roles. EG being the prime example as their duelist still fragged in the grand finals of champs without playing duelist that series
Ardiis didn't step up when it mattered most? Do better research because Ardiis was No.1 rated Jett and killjoy in Americas playoffs that's when matches actually mattered. At Tokyo Ardiis 3rd rated and 6th Jett in the whole event, champs could been better I'll agree. Anyway it'll be good seeing Navi and Ardiis at global events again.
@Ninekillaa There was a small stint when it was Ethan, Asuna, Hiko, jcstani, and bang I think? And then before that there was a small stint with ec1s and BabyJ instead of jcstani/bang. Pretty sure Ethan was IGL'ing during both of those times.
@@thrivinganarchy5267 Im almost 100% sure ec1s was brought in specifically to IGL when he came in. And jcstani was never on the team, he just did trials with them for a bit.
This video is very misleading, since Ethan has IGLd 100t for a short stint, and he’s played with 2 of NA’s best IGLs, nitr0 and steel. He will do just fine in NRG
Yeah a short stint still means he is inexperienced and unproven. Maybe Nitro and Steel were good IGL's in CS, but in Valorant I can name a handful that did much better. Like I said in the vid I do think with time Ethan will become a solid IGL though
2023 was not a successful year for NRG, and you are clearly overestimating FNS' performance as IGL this year. And just to be clear, Pancada top1 controller 2022 Champions MVP and Marved top2.
Looking at tournament results NRG was the most successful Americas team behind Loud and EG. Of course they would have wanted to win a tournament, but this year definitely wasn't a failure in my eyes. Didn't say Marved was the best, said arguably.

Great video! Hope you continue to make this series and cover teams like 100T and Lev!
That's the plan!

Som played tons of agents before in Nrg before he took on the duelist role. ANDROID and tex used to play duelist for them
Yeah he did play a ton of agents, but most of his games were on Jett and Raze if I remember correctly, especially early days.

Ethan has igled on 100t before
Wasn't it just Steel and Nitro doing the IGL'ing when ethan was there?
