We are having a countrymark log home built to be our new home. The first step is the basement. The basement is walkout basement that overlooks our pond.
Well here we go, I’ve been debating weather or not I was gonna watch the house build from episode 1 or not. My wife is sitting next to me, she don’t know it but if we ever have the money, this is her future life. lol I can’t even imagine her dealing with some goats or a bunch of chickens.
Really great, nice video production too, music is very nice. I really like how you edited all the progress together. Your design is almost identical to a design I've done for a "bucket list" modular home, with the view out of the basement and the upstairs, except mine is looking at the Columbia River, :-)
Love the set up for your yard area in front of the cabin build. Consider a swaile or two across the flow of the drain pipe you mention to grow a food forest at that area...Works for the view too...
My fiance and I have longed for a log home. We have been marveling at Golden Eagle out of Wisconsin (a company much like Countrymark). While doing some research, I came across your channel and watched all your home build videos. Wow, spectacular! Would you be willing to share the design name and floor plans?
My floor plan is based off of pleasant view 1 for the great room room and pleasant view 2 for the other half of the cabin. We removed the back door on the laundry room. We also made the total size smaller, by shinking the master bath and master bedroom. The cabin is only 28'x46'. We also flipped the floor plan so the great room is on the left side.
Can you tell us your approximate cost for this project to this stage. Excavation, footer, drain system, materials, and wall pour. I am contemplating a walk out basement on my next build and the size appears quite close. Thanks and nice work.
Eddie Seward, I went with a concrete contractor that does about 200 basements a year. So they were a little higher in price, but have a lifetime guarantee. They cost a total $27389.20. That is for everything you see. The digging, the drainage, all the concrete, and the plumbing in the basement for bathroom and main drain . The plumbing was about $1185.45 and the basement was $26203.75. The basement is 28 feet by 46 feet with 9 foot walls.
The Build looks great and the home site is perfect. I am also planning on building a new home in GA, and would like to know what basement construction company you are using to build your basement. watching your build and cant wait to see your next video.. God Bless
You just showed a bunch of AFTER clips... there was no before/during/construction footage. I am sorely disappointed with this channel. I want to build my own and was looking for some good footage. If your gonna upload videos WE LOVE THE DOING PART! not the after shots.
If that pond becomes a lake, you can swim from your house!
You guys weren't worried about the pond flooding into the basement. The job looks nicely done. Walkout basements are really nice!
going into your back catalogue of Vids and all I can think about is all that fill that you now need :P

And then the dog had to go and walk on it before it set! Dang it.
I’m new to your channel- do you ever show a floor plan for your house? It’s beautiful!
Thx again
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you tell me what size this walkout basement is?
how much slope did your lot have to it? Did you have to bring in extra dirt for the walkout basement to work?
do these concrete guys travel? what state is this in. thanks
Illinois
What music is this? Very nice!
What’s the price range for a foundation like that?
The basement was about $25000
Its drained on both sides of the walls?
It has a drain on the exterior and interior sides of the walls. They tie together and drain out near the pond.
Has anyone noticed he is picking up the local Arkansas drawl. Watch his first videos and you will notice the difference.
Thx
