Additional notes, it's no longer counterable and Rabbit Escape stops summoning rabbits if you're hit at ANY point. 14 July - Yeah Nue got changed to always activate the variant. Very annoying and I don't see why this change was made... Regardless though, combos still work the same as they used to but they're much weirder to pull off now but all combos shown can still work. Thank you Tze, very cool. Correction 1: Great Serpent isn't the only move that can't be evasived out of, Nue can't either along with some others in the game, very dumb of me I know. I literally knew this but completely forgot about it when recording this, apologies. Correction 2: Nue isn't the only one who will never despawn whether hit or not, neither does Toad. Honest mistake, just forgot to test. I actually missed the moon jump tech Using aerial toads and immediately using nue on the person while they're still being grabbed now forces you to ZOOM up I ALSO missed that toad can be used like a "counter" if you catch someone when they use their evasive and try to steal your combo. I didn't really think this was necessary to add though, as it's something you'll learn with experience and it's not something that can be done consistently, which is what the guide aimed to do.
hey not extremely sure if you're in contact with the dev for jjs but if you are could you pass along this short suggestion: add chimera shadow garden to ten shadows ultimate (please at least read the idea you might at least like it as food for thought) if the ten shadows user presses mahoraga then r they cancel mahoraga say “oh what the hell” or whatever megumi says you know to hype himself up before using domain expansion. a pool of black liquid flows outwards from the feet like normal but the range is slightly increased depending on how much health is lost. while the domain is active the user gains a large amount of self buffs at the cost of mahoraga and obviously the fact that there is no sure hit 1: the user gets to choose to stay in their r special for as long as they want in their domain, but can easily still be hit out of it 2: everyone in the domain sinks a little into the pool and are slowed significantly, over 50 percent of their movement is taken away, dashes are affected less however 3: if at any time a person is rag dolled in the domain including the user, they will plummet into the dark liquid shadow and will have to hold space to resurface while they slowly take damage and drown. if anyone dies in the shadow from drowning their corpse may be used as a throwable using the normal r special as megumi to take out their corpse and attack the other opponents with the corpse will explode into black blood particles as if they were crushed 4: possibly the most iffy upside to it but chimera shadow garden will drain the ult bar of whoever is in the domain slowly using it as fuel to keep it going usually it steals about 5 percent over the course of 15 seconds but it jumps to 30 percent if the opponent is dunked in the shadowy liquid the user of the domain will not have their ult drained because that doesn't make sense the point of the domain now is not to get kills per say since thats exactly what it tried to do before and failed. now, if domain expansion is used, the user gives up mahoraga, wasting their guaranteed bossfight where someone is bound to die, and instead, try to survive on their own with a way to actively stall the opponent's domain and make distance, which, for a character who can be killed in their ultimate by getting one of their moves canceled, is very important in summary, dying to win, and risking mahoraga to win, are completely different megumi, give it your best, be greedier.

Hakari’s : The Hakari user now have to do 3 visual moves instead of 2, both of the scenarios will be come one star less valued.If the megumi user did not get interrupt throughout the whole time that the Hakari’s domain are active, the Hakari will always have 50s of ult, instead of 1m40s regardless of which roll it is. I cannot believe that there is such a high quality piece of content about this game, you sir could make a name for yourself in the community if you were to make more guides like this. While I'm aware that you made the guide because you got into this character and explored it more than the others, this type of content is VERY rarely seen and you shouldn't limit yourself to just the characters, you could make a guide about the game mechanics, surprisingly enough there are still many people who don't understand how the game works at its core. A guide explaining stuff like how the hitboxes work would draw some attention to your channel! I'm really looking forward to catching you on the next one!

here's a quick tip for anyone coming back or new to this video, you can do a jumping uppercut into R + Rabbit Escape followed by a Nue to do a quick air combo!!
This video single handedly made me want to test out Megumi, even though I play on Xbox. Gonna be a lot harder on me due to some limitations, but he still looks very fun! I’m very new to JJS, though, so I’m trying to get used to some things already. I have fun with Mahoraga whenever I can pull it off and already have a combo thanks to another RUclipsr!
i just made a one shot megumi combo!! first, you need a vending machine stored in your shadow and you need your dogs out with full usage. first step. m1 someone and on the 4th m1 launch them up. back up a little and hit them with the arcade machine (R + M1), then use toad to pull them in. then m1 them 3 times, launch them up on the 4th, hit them with your divine dogs and then keep them in the air with rabbit escape (like shown at 8:40) while theyre in the air use divine dogs again to push them away and then use nue. wait untill it hits them and then use your last hit of divine dogs. after that theyll be on 1HP and if you time your front dash right you can catch them off stun and get them in a m1 combo to kill them. im pretty sure you can 1 shot them without the vending machine too but you need to do the dash tech. 3 m1s, launch up, toad, 2 m1s, dash tech, 3 m1s, launch up, divine dogs + rabbit escape, divine dogs, nue, then divine dogs. this should be 1 shot but its hard for me to do dash tech so ive had trouble testing it both of these combos are true but you can ragdoll cancel out of them so its pretty hard to hit this in a match

Maybe, Megumi is the only character I really know that well and I made this guide because I felt like I could talk about something other guides don't really mention, whereas other content creators I feel could cover the other characters better. I could make it if the demand is there, but no plans for any future videos at all really.

A combo that you can do in ult is swap back to base, downslam into nue + toad and then use rabbit escape on them while their in the air, then use max elephant to hit them mid air and use shadow swarm
thank you this helps but a few moves have changed i know it wouldn't make much sense to talk about the new moves and slightly changed base ult move 1 but i would like it
I KNOW I'M 3 MONTHS LATE BUT using Nue's variant mid fight is actually a good strategy if you're fighting an aggressive player, a lot of them will try and dodge around Nue and hit you, they don't expect you to fly away, so you end up dodging the attack if you weren't confident you could've blocked it. You can use it to pretty reliably dodge fuga and hollow purple as well.
@@spider219 the r special is worse for it though, you don't get any I-frames or anything, just a speed boost, and you become completely defenceless, a simple front dash can shut that down. with nue, you get the chance to hit them with it but also a pretty much guaranteed escape as long as it isn't interrupted in startup. it's also less predictable since, nue has a mind of it's own half the time, so at least i find it better for dodging hollow purple's and stuff
Please do a similar video for our favorite gambler hakari, espcially with the new varient I think he has good potential now, and the video was so good btw

@seventh silo megumi has a domain go up to a domain expansion and use shadow swarm and it should pop his domain but you can only go in domains and you can bring your friends or people with you in the domain. For example: raid a Hakari domain

The timing can be pretty tight, try to use totality just before the uppercut connects and spam 1 after you uppercut It's a bit hard to do but keep practicing it and you'll learn the muscle memory, believe me it took quite a while for me to get it consistently
@@localcarnotaurus Unfortunately after the update yesterday there's no way to not do the variant. Nue still works the same as before but the variant is forced. Everything I said in the video still applies all the same but I hope it gets reverted.
ok for the divine dogs x rabbit escape flying combo, you just need to press 1 and 4 at the same time (i didn't know u can do that so i failed so many times) at the start of your uppercut,

mahoraga finished but honestly domain would be way better megumi definitely has the worst ultimate out of every character moveset and aoe move would make it less useless in a outnumbered match

I KNOW I'M 3 MONTHS LATE BUT using Nue's variant mid fight is actually a good strategy if you're fighting an aggressive player, a lot of them will try and dodge around Nue and hit you, they don't expect you to fly away, so you end up dodging the attack if you weren't confident you could've blocked it. You can use it to pretty reliably dodge fuga and hollow purple as well.
yeah but Megumi's R special can do all that with a shorter cooldown
@@spider219 the r special is worse for it though, you don't get any I-frames or anything, just a speed boost, and you become completely defenceless, a simple front dash can shut that down. with nue, you get the chance to hit them with it but also a pretty much guaranteed escape as long as it isn't interrupted in startup. it's also less predictable since, nue has a mind of it's own half the time, so at least i find it better for dodging hollow purple's and stuff
Please do a similar video for our favorite gambler hakari, espcially with the new varient I think he has good potential now, and the video was so good btw

@seventh silo megumi has a domain go up to a domain expansion and use shadow swarm and it should pop his domain but you can only go in domains and you can bring your friends or people with you in the domain. For example: raid a Hakari domain

how do u do the air combo with totality they won't go in the air then use fall the the side
The timing can be pretty tight, try to use totality just before the uppercut connects and spam 1 after you uppercut
It's a bit hard to do but keep practicing it and you'll learn the muscle memory, believe me it took quite a while for me to get it consistently

is it possible for nue not to do the variant? new is pretty useless now that its almost impossible to hit them and Is now a mobility tool
@@localcarnotaurus Unfortunately after the update yesterday there's no way to not do the variant. Nue still works the same as before but the variant is forced. Everything I said in the video still applies all the same but I hope it gets reverted.
ok for the divine dogs x rabbit escape flying combo, you just need to press 1 and 4 at the same time (i didn't know u can do that so i failed so many times) at the start of your uppercut,

@@Kanzen2007 Well best I can give is to uppercut with toad, then use rabbit escape, dash around block and then use nue amd totality after 4 m1s

@@dozi-m3k Well, I would if it was radically changed but Nue still works exactly how I said he does, just now you always hold onto his foot. Plus, Tze has said he may revert this and I don't think one move being slightly altered warrants a brand new guide.
For some reason totality doesn’t cover you at all anymore. Hopefully it gets re added.
Nue now forces you to grab onto it? I can't use the normal version, my character always grabs its leg.
