I know a record store owner who just recently opened his store, and I've already become a regular. Like Anthony, he knows what I like and he saves it for me. He even said he would consider parting with one of his favorite rare CDs so that I could have it. He also recommends bands and albums based on what I like. Record store owners are awesome! Love these videos Brenden, keep em coming!
this is what a good record store does , you build a trust , even friendship sometimes , a relationship with the owner , workers and they look out for you , hold on to stuff for you and get to know your tastes .., love it ..,
I love the chemistry between you and Anthony, you could release one of these videos 365 days a year and i would watch every single one. Loving the content!
Im opened minded about music as Brendon would say "out of my wheelhouse ". I love to find new music I might not have found on my own and thats one reason I really enjoy watching this channel. Great job in keeping us informed Brendon!!!!
I lucked out with a Pawn Shop grab once. I got Dream Theater DvDs of live in New York, 5 years in a lifetime, Chaos in Motion, The Score and Scenes From A Memory Live. A buck a piece. I almost fell over. It was like they knew I was coming.
A topic that runs through my mind is what happens to my music collection if something happens to me. My wife is not a music lover like me. I just want my music collection to be enjoyed by someone who loves music. I just don't want it to sit and collect dust. They are just too much history for that to happen.
One of the record stores I worked at in a mall had a Pet Store next store. It was tremendous. I was buddies with numerous puppies, and while they were trying to sell them, they would run over to the record store looking for me. It was great 😃
Brendon, please post those 10 glam recommendations. Would luv to see those. PS thanks so much for the 5 instrumental recommendations. The Reb Beach and Jon Luc Ponty are so so great. Thanks again, Tom
Been thinking about volunteering at my local record shop because the owner is being mistreated by the young employees who all think they’re the shit and the place is getting messed up.
Its like working in any store. Its about being a salesman really. I play guitar for decades and even when i was in my 20s working a music store was yikes. Going to a music store is great tho. Working there its all about sales nothing else really.

I really enjoy these episodes. As a fellow record store owner, i can really relate to these topics. Keep em coming, please!
Glad to hear this idea is universal!

Put your collection in your will and leave it to someone who will enjoy it.
