I blind bought this last summer and when I first sprayed it on I thought it smelled like Vicks Vapor rub, but then 10 minutes later I got a whiff of something that smelled like a caramel apple and was blown away that it was coming from me. I kept going back to my arms to smell it. It's a masterpiece of a fragrance.
Did u wear it in summer. How’d did it perform
same here i hated this at first but now i love it. the dry down is the best. the opening has a bug spray vibe to me lol but after 20 min it's marvelous !!

Yup, Layton is one of my favorites and gets me the most compliments out of everything I own. Every single time I wear it. Never fails. I'll always have a bottle of Layton 😍

Layton was love at first sniff for me I took a chance and blind bought 125ml don’t regret it atall it’s one of the best ever
Layton is the best blended fragrance I have smelled during my 17 years in the game. It just pops off from so many different angles and they’re all so pleasing.
Try Naxos if u love layton I feel like it's a much better blended and richer fragrance which as well is oriental with lavender

@@laurencechurcher1511 To love a fragrance, you need to love its DNA and Naxos has a completely different DNA from Layton. So just because they like Layton doesn't mean they will love Naxos. I happen to love Layton, but Naxos? Not so much.
Is it too sweet?
@@hazard9578 the vanilla would be cloying in the high heat. I personally would stick to 80 degrees and below.

I never was one to have a 'signature scent', but when I tried Layton, I said , oh yeah, I could wear this everyday! So now I have a 'signature scent'....

I love your movie reference. However, I think that Aventus is more like The Avengers. It’s a hit that is a fun watch, but some don’t take it serious. Layton is like Titanic or maybe Lord of the Rings. A massive hit that is also critically acclaimed.
I couldn't agree more. Layton is a compliment magnet and one that I absolutely can't get enough of. It's why I rate it over my other PDM fragrances (even over my other favorites Herod, Pegasus and Carlisle)

This is a beast of a fragrance. Absolutely stunning. Many from PDM are in the same ball park. Herod, Carlisle, Oajan, the list goes on. Favorite niche house by far.

layton for fall/winter and galloway for spring/summer and that's all you need to constantly smell amazing
Love the fruity, spicy, sweet and pepperyness of this fragrance, masculine as imo and a near alrounder besides maybe peak summer days. Definitely a signature worthy scent.
After a about 30 minutes or an hour the medical/liniment rub smell dies down and it actually smells pretty decent.
Absolutely love Layton, it was the second niche fragrance I ever bought after Xerjoff 40 knots. Can’t wait to break out Layton again this fall and winter!
Can layton also be worn on hotter summer days or is it a but too much?
@@mikec5349 it’s a bit much for hotter summer days unless you are going to be indoors with AC most of the day
I bought the exclusif One. The original smells absolutely fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but, the exclusive one just feels masculine. A lot more masculine. It pulls tons of compliments too. Original Layton can be worn by a guy or a girl though and I’m not a big fan of unisex fragrances. I really like the fact that I cannot pull off Delina and my girl cannot pull off Layton exclusive.

I got Layton for around $ 50, at a company promotion. It was one of the last bottles as they sold like hot cakes. I love it... And I know I'd never get it again for this price haha. I still smelled it on my jacket after 10 days since I sprayed. It's a beast

Layton is great! Versatile, likable workhorse. I like Herod, Habdan and Oajan better myself but Layton is the one that you can wear anytime anywhere 👍😎

I'd say it's a workhorse scent for me. You can wear it virtually all year round except for hot summer days. Summer evening is still doable imho

Aventus isn’t worth the price. Get yourself Profumo, Carlisle and cedrat Boise for what you would spend on aventus

If you grab it end of September/ beginning of October....prepare thyself lol. 1st PDM purchase last year. Blew me away. Now own 9 PDM's with a couple backups lol, so be warned. Straight addictive.
I own Layton, Herod, Carlisle, Sedley and Percival. Layton is my favorite hands down. Herod is a close second.

Best PDM is Layton Exclusif to me but I like Layton as well.
I love them both, but I think it’s curious how other channels say you should only own one. I don’t think they’re redundant at all, totally different openings and dry downs

Layton & Herod are equal for me. Some days I prefer Layton & some days I prefer Herod

You can't go wrong with Herod or Layton. PD'M are derivative of each other, thats the only downside of this house.

I just bought a sample of this. It is very addictive, at first I thought it was the same as Paco Rabanne Pure XS night but it isn’t, just similar to me. I’ll be buying a full bottle probably!

It is the best niche fragrance I own, and it’s also been my most compliment fragrance in my collection - easy to see why it’s a winner and why I’d go heaven over earth to put it in the top 5 of my all time ❤

I never smelled Layton but I did end up buying a bottle of royal chariot attar from dua today. It will be an interesting blind buy
I got Royal Equestrian from Alexandria Fragrances. It’s a clone for Layton too, and it’s probably the best fall & winter scent that checks every box. It gets complements, lasts for around 10 hours and about 3+ feet of projection for the first couple hours, and it has great sillage. Whenever I got out at night, I wear RE because I know it will get positive attention. My summer & spring favorite is Black Panther from AF and my fall and winter favorite is Royal Equestrian. I’m sure you’ll love Royal Chariot from Dua.

PDM Layton is one of my favorite fragrances.
This smells amazing. Only issue is that bottle didn't come filled to the top! For the money they're asking the least they could do is fill the bottle all the way up. Shined a light behind the bottle and was disappointed. It's not 125 ml in bottle. More like 120ml and thats not what I paid for. Still smells amazing though lol
Layton is one of my 1st niche fragrances and when first got it I thought it was just ok.. but when I 1st gave it a full wearing is when I discovered the magic 😅...

I just wanted to tell ya that " Parfums De Marley " is a French brand & the "s" in parfums is a silent letter, it's not pronounced.

This was the fragrance that bridged the gap into niche fragrances for me. Reminded me of Boss Bottled but much more complex, natural, higher quality and better blended

This review has convinced me to get a sample from scentsplit to see how it performs on my skin , especially during the dry down
I tried parfume vintage vechillor clone of PDM Layton
But apparently after watching more reviews I have realized if I want to smell like Layton I need to get the real deal
I got my 2ml from Scentsplit today along with Exclusif and, surprisingly, I’m not fond of either one. I’m very glad I didn’t blind but an entire bottle as I’d be selling it. I don’t get the hype but, oh well. I might try Herod and Carlisle next. At this point I’m more of a Tom Ford fan…
Debating between Layton or Enclave for fall/winter this year. As darker as exclusif is, I get a ton of compliments from it.

Why do niche colognes come in an Eau de Parfum , for the price it should be at least a Parfum concentration.

It is 98% close with better projection and longevity. Guys it smells almost identical!!!!

Just picked up my first PDM… Got Percival. 9/10 fragrance and really really impressive. I think I’ll get Layton next and after that probably either Sedley or Herod
Funny I actually got this a couple years ago and sent it back because it didn’t work for me, but I just ordered it again because I wanna give it another shot
My first spay I was not a fan it was super strong and kinda pungent but waited a little bit and man it truly is amazing
Oddly enough, as much as I love this scent I’ve never gotten a compliment on it. Sauvage, Ultra Male, AHSEE, CDNIM on the other hand… tons. In fact I’ve gotten complimented on Kalan every time I’ve worn it… unfortunately not one that I can remember with Layton 😒

Late bloomer to the fragrance game. Blind bought Layton recently, and once it hit the dry down I was immediately reminded of a scent I never reach for in my collection. Diesel Spirit of the Brave Intense (Gold bottle) Definitely not the same quality level, and up close you can pick them apart, but the scent trail and the mid on these scents is oddly close to my nose. Not really sure why I don't wear the diesel more, but wondering if anyone else knows what I'm talking about. Not a dupe, not SUPER close, but weirdly close
I might have to revisit this one. I couldn’t like it a long time ago.

I received my 3×10ml set. Unfortunately not for me. The only niche fragrance I bought a full 100ml bottle of was Aventus. I really like it, and I'll stick to it despite all the hate.

I got a sample of Layton. I’m actually surprised there is no tobacco in Layton.
Had a 2018 decant that was a monster in projection and longevity. Sad to say I just picked up a full bottle of a 2020 batch and the longevity and projection are awful. About half the time that my 2018 decant provided. Seems like PDM is going the way of Creed 🥺

Smelled a bunch of pafums de Marly. Their Orientals are top notch. Which is the type of fragrance I love. I know a seller who sells legit 75ML for 120 bucks. Total steal. Gonna be getting this next week on payday 👍

If your a newbie to fragrances or just starting in the niche world of frags then I’d say start with Layton if not go with Carlisle

There is some sort of menthol (Vicks Vaporub) vibe in Layton that i really like. Similar to Polo Deep Blue parfum.

@@nexuscomm5916 me too most of the time. Apparently it's in there to make the other notes project more. Eucalyptus is used like that in alot of oriental scents. Aaron Terence Hughes even confirmed this about Layton!
Just got mine yesterday this juice lasted 10 hours wow every penny was worth it next pdm is gonna be pegasus or carlisle or why not both 🤷🏻♂️

Well, the house of PdM's strengths are in oriental, sweet, woody, & spicy accords. Best used in cold weather.

I have a bottle from this year and would say it still performs well. Dont have an old one to compare to, but itll easily last you all night out and project pretty dang far. I wake up still smelling the vanilla.

I ordered a decant from scentsplit. I tried it multiple times for it to grow on me. For me on my skin, it is okay. I don't really get the notes that are said. I get mainly this mentholated smell and it doesn't jive with me
Same with me. I don’t understand the hype. The scent is def not for me. Luckily I only bought a sample of it from Scentsplit.
