I am proud of the native Hawaiians for keeping their heritage intact. Here in Louisiana, they almost completely stripped our French hertiage from us. We are fighting back, but it will never be the same. I enjoy seeing the traditional dances when we visit Hawai'i.
Samething happened to the Hawaiians. The kanaka maoli almost went extinct and the culture was almost lost. After the ban of the Hawaiian language and other traditional practices there is a discount between the ancient kanaka and the modern kanaka. Over a 100 years of disconnection from the past to the future. Keep fight sir! Keep your heritage strong inside of you so you can pass it on.
Lol seeing your comments I almost believed louisiana is located on French, by your logic their culture should be the colonizers culture too? Is good to appreciate others culture or even your blood heritage but the place you was born and live has a culture too, I also come from a heavily colonized place and I assure you the culture of the ones who lived on that land stay there even after the native dissolved, you would be surprised to find even your everyday habits could be a heritage or something you share with them, the same way that you most know French culture is not the same of the French colonizers descendents of hundreds of years ago
Soo beautiful. Proud of our culture and traditions. 👍👍👍❤❤❤
