In my opinion, both have performed better but Sony SRS XB43 has really given a good battle to JBL Xtreme 3 which is three times the price of Sony SRS XB43.

Alright so my first Bluetooth portable speaker was the first JBL flip years ago I ran that thing to the ground! Ever since that one went out on me I switched over to the ue speakers, from the first boom to the mega boom 3 Which I still have and love, I went to target a couple months ago and I heard the Sony xb43 and I was very impressed it sounds amazing I was about to order it but this JBL really caught my eye! Long story short I ordered the JBL xtreme 3 and all I can say is wow seriously! This speaker blows the Sony xb43 out of the water! It sounds crystal clear at loud volume! And it’s very very loud! So glad I went with the JBL I highly recommend it!

in slovakia the xb43 normaly costs around 150€-200€. Is it worth it in this prize tag. Im curently choosing between jbl xtreme 3 that costs 300€ and the xb 43 and the xg500 that costs 330€. So what do you recomend more?
As a musician, I have viewed a good number of these types of videos involving the JBL bluetooth speaker. I hear an increase in reverb coming from the JBL speakers which can be confused with sounding brighter or more crisp. And by the way, I just received the Sony XB 43(renewed) with no scratches and it sounds like a winner. And it came with a 2yr. warranty.
Everybody says Sony speakers battery life is really poor. Is that true?

Eh? Sony in Live mode is incredible ! Electronic music soundstage even wider! EQ the Bass +10 ,,, amazing wrap around wide-screen sound ! Did you hear this? It is a clear winning option on the speaker..
I bought Sony Srs Xb43 on Jan as a gift for dad and it was awesome, with Equilizer of Sony and Dolby atmos from Samsung smartphone literally blew my mind and made 80s and 90s song like it was new and alive. Best Sound Quality definitely Sony , the only bad thing about Sony is the battery capacity it's only 4900mah battery while JBL is 10000mah

Hi, I have a question, I want a speaker with a good bass. I heard the sony srs xb41 and I loved it. However, I have a flip 5 and I was looking for buying a charge 5 to connect them through party boost mode. I would like to hear an opinion of what should I do, because the sony one is cheaper and I don't want to regret buying the charge 5. Do the speakers bass sound +

I bought the xtreme3. Was $50 more. But just overall better product imho. Soundwise, I did prefer the JBL. I like it when the music is separated from instruments, bass, and vocals. The Sony was good. But it had a more mono sound to it, while the JBL def had more stereo separation and clearness.
The portability and battery threw it way over top. The sony should at least have a handle. That immediately threw me towards the JBL. I'm moving this thing all over the place, and the strap just makes that a non issue.
If it was smaller, I wouldn't need a handle. But the size of these things I believe requires that it has something to grasp.

The xb43 is the best choice because cost 150€ on amazon and the Extreme 3 is 300€. So sony still the best choice (but i buy the extreme 3 only because i need a loud and not too big speaker.)(Ps.i don't have money problem)

Jbl is good sound and nice to heard. But jbl prize is too expensive than sony. And between both sound is little deferent.
Never again I will buy JBL BLUETOOTH SPEAKER! WEAK POINT IS THE BATTERY. I had JBL charge 2 in the past few years and the battery just after one year of use, don't want to charge at all. Now few days ago I bought SONY and I'm very happy with the sound and battery life is almost 20 hours no stop by 50% loudness. Best Preis 139€ on Amazon. Now I'm thinking to take another one for stereo. I love it 😍 also for the lights. For the sound I give 9 of 10 point high scale. Don't hesitate to buy Sony.

No replacement for displacement. Bigger enclosure produced bigger sound, better sound stage, and open-ness or uncongestedness. With that said JBL is not double the performance of Sony.
I found the sony for 130, JBL is 350 all the time....

I think that would be the JBL due to its natural amplification of the higher/mid frequencies. Once you boost those with the Sony EQ connect app, they’ll be about the same I figure

@@ki8417 I really don't know what means every letter but what I can say is TL is for more sound power, GG is medium and CS is the less sound power.

Jbl only because shoulder strap, these are big and heavy speakers, you will not carry Sony with you unlike JBL. Sony weight 1 kilogramm more only because old type magnets on speaker units, that are just cheaper.

JBL wins. Bass is Deep and heavy, clarity and clearness is good although we all know it has agressive sound. This Sony the best among off all Bluetooth they made, seems muffled but sound was thick easy listening and good vocals.

@Freline yeah, I thought the Sony doesn't sound good and was thinking about returning it until I changed the EQ. I don't think the default setting is really a fair comparison on this. Plus the live mode also makes the sound really opens up.

The Sony is garbage, purchased and immediately returned it. Anything above half volume the base goes completely to crap, you can even hear it in the video.
it loses its punch and becomes in the best way I can describe it like a blown speaker, I think the passive radiators on the sides are a bit two week and basically they’re just flopping around all over the place in an uncontrolled manner.

What kinds of ears do you have people.. I don't hear any Sony nearly as good as JBL. This Sony xb43 is the best they but can't say its better than x3.. Clarity and clearness and bass wins it. Sony is louder and cheaper and better than older version but not enough to say its better.. Sony doesn't have signature sound cause it has that xtra bass and equaliser while JBL sticks on trademark bold sound.

If you want to buy this particular sony model for portable djing, STAY AWAY. it has a huge latency with the line in. I spoke to Sony support and they basically said it is what it is and can’t be fixed. So again, if you’re going to use it for djing, don’t buy this sony.
