Your review of the Callaway Edge set was the reason I found the channel. Bought them as my first new set of clubs when I started up last year and absolutely love them, great quality for a beginner, especially paired with the Kirkland wedges!
I wish I could walk into my Costco and pick up the drivers and irons. For some reason my Costco ONLY carries golf gloves and golf balls. I still want a Kirkland KS1.
There’s only so many to go around
I went yesterday to get gloves and balls and there was at least 20 drivers here
@@handycrew Where? I haven't seen the drivers or irons anywhere and I go into multiple Costcos in the Orlando area weekly. I only ever see the balls (newest version), the Edge sets, some bags, and they always have the gloves.

It was your Callaway Edge review that got me to finally pull the trigger off buying them and getting into good a bit more seriously and I haven't looked back. Ended up grabbing a great push cart from Costco at a brilliant price too.
I love Costco stuff too! Always get the gloves and balls. I "upgraded" my 15 year old Golden Bear set to the Callaway Edge set from Costco and love it! I just got the driver and I'm still adjusting to it. On my R10 I can hit it long, but it doesn't translate yet to the course. I've been watching for the wedges and will scoop those up if they come back in stock. It must be that Florida Costcos have a better golf section than mine up here near Seattle. Thanks again, Gabe! the golf bag is a must. I have been using the cart version for a few years now. I love the way it helps me keep my clubs organized, it's lighweight, and the strap on the golf cart goes behind the top pocket. Great video - thanks
Remember when you decrease loft you also decrease bounce/forgiveness. Leading edge could dig in more often if not striking consistently well.

Completely agree about your irons review - took me a little bit of time to get used to them coming from my edge set but now that I am I'm loving them.
I absolutely love the wedge set. I have had mine for 3 years or more. Just replaced the grips this year to midsize. Probably will pickup another set to have on hand.
I have the Gen 2 Wedges. Every time I pull an amazing flop shot, spin shot on the green, or pitch out of my butt, I exclaim "Kirkland Signature, baby!". My playing partners are shocked at how well they perform. I trust them implicitly. I'm sure I'd be better with a properly fitted Vokey, but honestly, as a high handicapper, I'd rather put the cash into 3 wedges that seem to suit my game well instead of one Vokey. My handicap has gone down 6 strokes compared to last year at this time, and based on my Arccos data, the one area that I actually gain strokes on is my approach game.
agreed, would i maybe be better w a set of fitted sm10 or mg4, probably. but I love the gen 2 wedges they feel just as good as any other wedge I've tried.
Great video. I’m playing Kirkland Signature clubs (except my 3w, 3h and 4h). I think the driver is not very forgiving, nor very long. My previous driver is the Callaway Rogue w/ Evenflow, which is about 20 yards longer. I don’t recommend the KS driver.
I do, however recommend the KS Irons (if you can find a set), KS Wedges 2.0 and KS Putter. Previous irons are Ben Hogan Apex Forged Blades, Cleveland Wedges and Mizuno Bettinardi BC2 putter.
I just got the Edge set yesterday. I did a ton of research on various sets and I came across your video. A big reason why I decided to get these was based on your review of them. I can’t wait to try them out later this week!

The most helpful review I've seen on RUclips. A lot of people seem hesitant about the shafts on the Costco irons. If they release a version 2 with a lighter, more beginner-friendly shaft, it would be great. It’s like a budget version of the P790, but considering the shaft, it seems targeted at a slightly higher skill level, right?
I love my Callaway Edge clubs. Just bought the bag and it’s a great price.

Great video! Thanks for sharing you. I recently reviewed three bags from Costco and took a hard look at the 4th bag they offer (that Pebble Beach bag).
I honestly thought the Pebble Beach bag was garbage. Flimsy zippers, very stiff and foldable nylon… didn’t feel quality at all. The Kradul bag they have on their website is absolutely amazing! The Sunday Golf bag they sell is also nice, but could use a couple more pockets.
Seriously though… the Kradul bag is probably the best bag value out there.

I really like the gloves! Wish the Kirkland logo was a bit smaller but they are so good at a great price that I'll put up with it. Have been gaming the newest Kirkland golfball this season. Love the stress reduction that comes from knowing an errant shot won't cost me $5...
Got the Stitch bag they have in stock, for 120 its Pure Class.....as long as you don't mind it being a minimalistic bag.

The gloves are nice for the price. Many brands I use XL. Large fits me in the Kirkland glove.
I run the current gen wedges and sometimes the balls, really wanted the ks1 putter but got tired of waiting for the RH to come back in stock.
I just upgraded my 1980’s Wilson set to the Callaway Edge set yesterday. Excited to get out and try them out

The original ball was a Nassau Quattro, which are sold in Europe and Asia. They didn't drop the ball due to the lawsuit, they dropped it because Nassau was making balls for some of the big names who threatened to take their business elsewhere if they continued to sell to Costco. Nassau is now owned by Taylormade.
Isn’t Nassau the ball plant that caught on fire last year?

@@LetsPlayThru actually the gold box 4 piece balls were awful.. They were version 2 of the piece. Original 4 piece came in a black box... The gold box was essentially recalled and they refunded everyone and let em keep the balls.. The cover would cut super easy... Like easier than I've ever seen. MyGolfSpy posted my photo of a cut cover on their social media, it was so bad.
A good video Gabe but as we talked about years ago, no Costco here in Thailand. We know it won't happen but we did try.
I have the galleway edge set and I love it. I was thinking about getting the kirkland wedges. But already have 56, is the kirkland 56 better?
just an FYI, that isn't the box for the OG 4 piece, it's black, and I've got 10 dozen still in my closet. Great ball, not a ProV1, they were supposedly the cores of a Nassau ball. The box you showed is the 2nd generation of the 4 piece that had a lot of issues with the covers coming off easily. I had a few dozen, good balls, not as good as the OG 4 piece though. The newest 3 piece ball is their best 3 piece ball so far.

They may not come back in stock with the lawsuit from Taylor Made. If you can get your hands on a set secondhand, do it. They are pretty bladey though. I love mine

After you buy the Edge set, replace grips with oversized.. you’ll thank me for this tip.. actually John daily recommends this..
I really wish they made gloves that fit like the top gloves. Sometimes the mediums fit like large. I may try small just to see how they work
So question I’m a new golfer and i got a new top flite set for $210. Now is the Costco set of clubs something i should hope to get in a year or two if i stick with golf or how do you decide what you upgrade to?
In a couple years I think you'll want a bit more advanced set than the Costco. It's a beginner set for the most part. At that point, you'll likely want to see a professional and get fitted.
@@LetsPlayThru gotcha thanks! I don’t know what i don’t know. I started 3 weeks ago with a “knight brand” starter set i think from the year 2000 and got addicted and bought the top flites and honestly they feel like I’m swinging pro stuff compared to that knight set.

I would have put the v3 ball in the meh category. It’s very spinny especially with the driver. I’ve seen it back spin 2 sometimes 3 feet from where it hit the fairway
The Callaway Edge set review from your channel led me to 1) buy the clubs and 2) subscribe.
I have the wedges ands the KS1, both outstanding. And I love the head cover on the KS1. Why buy a Scotty when you can have a Kirkie!

So, the irons with their basic looking design, they dont look like blades to me, but they arent for everyday players but the wedges, which clearly are blades, are for everyone?

Drivers, putters, wedges, irons, bags, nope not in my local Costco.
It can definitely be hit or miss. Some stores in areas where there are lots of golf courses will have more gear than others.

Costco balls are way way overlooked in terms of what you are getting. There are zero balls out there that provide a urethane cover ball at like a buck a ball. If ur a decent player and need bite on approach shots or like to nip it with ur wedges, you can’t beat the bang for the buck

Golf gloves. You get 4 cabretta leather gloves for $30. Or you can go buy one for $20 to $30. Love the gloves
Don't bend the Kirkland wedges. Learned from a fitter that the metal tends to crack from bending.

agree 50-54-58 is the best wedge set up (that is what I have)... so why would u put the wedges in buy and pure class if they only come in lofts you don't want (52-56-60)? I used to have a 56-60 and recently switched to 54-58 and it really is a big improvement for me (never really liked my 60)... also, when I was demo'ing my new wedges, I was able to try different grinds and bounces for a couple of weeks before buying them from my pro shop. That is what you get for your money. You can either settle for what Costco sells and compromise, or you can spend more and actually buy exactly what you want... That's the tradeoff

I honestly don't know why My Golf Spy is bashing the Kirkland ball so hard. I guess that's their gift. I personally don't think they're my favorite balls. But they are decent value. Not bad.
You need to compare them where they should be compared. It’s a buck a ball. It’s also a urethane cover that bites really well around the green. My golf spy is just shit. I would play the Kirk any day compared to every non urethane covered ball. Anything you buy with urethane is like triple the cost of Kirks

The Irons are no longer available. Taylormade took them to court because they are very very similar to their P790s at less than half the cost.
They are available there was pallets of them in the Edinburgh store on Friday last week along with the drive and the latest ball

Costco just steals the designs and technology that Taylormade and others have taken years of R&D to bring to market. That’s why I don’t support Costco golf stuff.

Just shows you that these golf clubs companies produce EVERY YEAR are a marketing ploy. I’m game with someone copying older designs and making them brand new at a reasonable price.

Why do reviewers continue to say the Kirkland irons are a direct copy to the P790 when they are not. Its almost like the cutaway pitcures online dont exist. They dont even look alike on the outside! Im hoping influencers arent being compensated to convey this narrative.
If you put it up to the 2021 model, it is nearly identical in every way.

IMO: anyone remotely serious about their golf game should stay away from the Kirkland golf ball. I bought a box to play around my local muni courses but it became very evident that they don't perform well compared to other mid-tier 3 piece balls. I saw noticeable distance drop-off especially with the longer clubs and and lack of spin control around the greens. It's a great value if you're new to the game or want some cheap balls to hack around without feeling guilty of losing them, but this wouldn't be the ball I'd go out and play if I'm trying to go low.
