I agree the fact she is licking her vulva in the video, can indicate an uterus infection known as pyometra which not caught early can be fatal. Please get her checked out at vets.

It's normal for dogs to lick themselves. She's likely crying due to the goats crying.

@@beckysutherland2065 actually Kevin said in his video she was doing this BEFORE they took the babies, so I respectfully disagree. Depression in a dog is deadly! It doesn't mean they have done anything wrong, but this has been going on and there are too many things that could be underlying factors. This isn't all the baby goats moved.

It's best to have her examined by your vet to be safe, she's acting like she is in pain. A stillborn [I've seen it happen were a single pup can be too large to pass] will cause severe pain and would hate to loose her due to an massive infection. Prayers she'll be okay.

In my professional opinion as a vet tech, I would definitely take cora in to make sure she doesn't have a stuck puppy. Also, if you're not going to breed her,she needs to be spayed. Pyometra is a horrible infection female dog can get in their uterus from not being bred. The surgery to save the dog is usually between 3k and 5k. Much cheaper to spay them then to have to pay for emergency surgery. Good luck!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Respectfully I went to school to become a Vet tech. We were never allowed to diagnose any animal. Imho Farmers know their own dogs better. I got out as soon as I found out we were using retired greyhounds as Guinea Pigs. It's bad enough they are crated and forced to run after a mechanical rabbit. But after they are not able to run anymore. They get electrocuted and shot up with drugs. I wasn't cut out for it. 🙏 Ing for Cora she's been a mommy to those kids 12 weeks now. @Rachel Good job. I wish the Moms could have their own baby goats. Mom goats wean them when it's time. Idk Kevin This seems cruel to this human Mom heart.

I agree, she may have aborted the puppies and cleaned herself up and you would’ve never known, so I think it’s better to be safe than sorry. Same way th you Kevin,, I’ve mentioned this before, about how hard you swallow, that’s NOT NORMAL,, if you have allergies or a problem with your throat passageway being small, it can cause you to have difficulty swallowing. I’m know from experience. Im scheduled to have neck surgery to correct my neck issues and my throat issues as well. I have difficulty swallowing the smallest of things, even liquids. But if it’s allergies causing your sinuses being congested that can be addressed too. I was prescribed “Singulair”, initially it was designed for asthma, but found that it was very effective for year round allergies. I couldn’t manage at all until they gave me that, now it’s soooo much better, and sometimes I think lay have to take certizine for a runny nose. I’m concerned about you Kevin.

I noticed that she is cleaning herself more than I have noticed before, be aware that she could have an infection, cystitis, Yeast, or UTI, that would make her feel off and can potentially cause lasting problems or even death. Post being in season is the most likely time for these problems, check for any discharge and if she suddenly swells in the abdomen, it is an emergency situation.

My dog is eight years old now and when she was almost 2 years old, she had a false pregnancy she was having milk and all that stuff acting like a mother to be for a dog would be so I took her to the vet and the vet confirmed that she was having a false pregnancy, but one thing she did tell me is these false pregnancies can cause cancer if she doesn’t breed or get her fixed And she can have the worst of cancer in her breast so she suggested that I think about it getting her fixed if I’m not going to breed her, but if I was going to breed her and try to get a Bread as soon as I could, so that was what I was tall about my dog and I live in Kansas and I did take my dog to the vet and that’s what they said that it can cause cancer

My husband was listening while I watched this video and he had an idea about what to do about the flies. What you need are fly fans above your doors. Basically they blow straight down and make a curtain of air that flies can't get through. If they try to go through the door, the air current blows them to the ground. Grocery stores sometimes have them and they work well.

I only say this because one of my female Dalmatians developed bone cancer in her right front leg and acted very much the same - even to the crying on occasion. The baby had a red plastic bat toy (like to hit a ball with) that was about a foot long. It had a squeaker in it. One day that little plastic bat rolled down the stairs. It started flipping end-over-end. At each step it hit the impact would cause it to make a squeak. My little dog saw this and heard it. She ran over to it, picked it up and instantly became it's mother. She wouldn't let anyone near her 'baby'. She slept with it, licked it, cuddled it all day and night for weeks. If you tried to take it from her she would growl at you. I'm pretty sure that the squeak from that toy must have triggered her mothering instinct. She was spade and had never had puppies until one day she became a mother to a red plastic bat. We got a lot of laughs out of it. She was a really sweet little mother. She was a little white Lasso Apso. I referred to her as my 'Asso Lapso' though. hehe. We loved that dog and the way she cared for her plastic puppy.

I think you made the right decision keeping the baby's where they can still see their mommas that way the weaning isn't as traumatic on the Mom or Kidd.

It breaks my heart to hear all the goats and Cora cry! I tend to agree with the others suggesting taking Cora to the vet just to make sure nothing IS wrong. I also agree for Cora it could be maternal instinct to cry for the baby goats as they cry for their mamas. I will just keep praying God will guide you and Rachel which path you should take ❤❤❤❤

Well you asked people to comment so I will. Obviously you know your animals better than us and it may be that she is sad but wouldn't it give you peace of mind to know that it isn't any of the other awful possibilities? I call the vet if there's a sign of anything different with my pets and you said these things aren't normal (crying all the time, not eating, licking etc) I'll say a prayer for her (and everyone)

    She'll be ok.

Can a dog mate even if she's not in heat, and can puppies die in the mother, and she not know it. If Cora is crying, maybe there's something wrong and you don't know. You said she was crying, even before you put the goats over in the other pen. I'm not telling you what to do, because you know better than me. They're your animals, I'm just concern because I come to love them. 😃❤ God be with you and your family

I would take Cora to vets. If she was pregnant and lost them she could develop an infection. That happened to my cat I rescued developed an infection after she had her babies premature and she almost died. My other cat was pregnant and we did not know it. One day she started bleeding. Took her to vets she had a mummified kitten at the vets. We thought she had been fixed she was another rescue I had found on the streets. We had her for many years and never showed that she was in heat and she had regular vet visits.
She looks like she is favoring her left hip, could she be in pain. I know you give her pain pills.

To keep Flys from coming in the house, spray the outside area around the door you use most. And/or hang fly strips outside the entry area. Flys like the cool air inside.

I used to cry too when we weaned our calves or took them to the sale barn. I empathized with the Mom too much...lol Hopefully that's what Kora is doing too, but I'd continue to watch her for swelling, etc. in her hind end just in case. We had flies all the time too and I'd spray the patio and around the doorway with citronella oil. It seemed to help some but I don't think there's anything that works 100%. I also hooked a bottle of liquid Sevin dust to the waterhose and sprayed the porch, but that was mostly to keep the spiders and wasps under control. It might have helped with flies too??
