Thank you for this video. I was actually thinking of buying a subwoofer for my car and came across this speaker on Temu. Glad I found your video, you saved me from spending £50-£60 pounds! 😆 👊🏽
For the money, I would have to agree. I guess I’m spoiled with my shop sound system. It consists of extra parts from previous car audio systems. The deck is a Dual media player which is connected to a Kicker 4 channel that powers four 6.5” Parts Express woofers along with a pair of tweeters. There is also a D4S JP8 connected to an older shallow 10” Cadence subwoofer in a sealed box. It is all connected to a 300 amp/hr lithium battery which powers my shed(through power inverters) and a small solar setup to keep it all charged.

This is just one of those cheap tailgater speakers that were really popular in the early 2000's, it just happens to have the ability to wire into your car.
Not true. Not everything is garbage. You just have to be careful about buying the cheapest. Buy the most expensive, which isn't much, and match everything, and that stuff sounds excellent for the price.
The hum is most likely due to garbage input and output filtering for the A/C power transformer. Be careful about opening this unit as it may have charged capacitors even after you unplug it. JMHO.
Thanks for taking the time to explore this thing. But actually you are endorsing them, because to the algorithm a mention is a mention. Good or bad sadly doesn't matter...
Found a place that supplied system components and speakers to groups performing live. They were getting rid of some excess stuff. Picked 3 15" JBL 2226 woofers for $25 each. They "subwoof" pretty good to say the least.

I wonder if it would sound better/do more power hooked up directly to an adequate 12v source. I know for sure you'd have less hum that way. But regardless your 120v input is likely powering a 10 watt power supply so that's about the max you'd expect. I am willing to bet if you got that amp sniffing 14.4 volts with enough reserve you could probably get that joker up to 20w. Or more with a good 24v psu
honestly if they soulld this as a full range kit for behind the seat of a truck and remove the bs amp and added thermal for speaker wires to hook up a radio to it then it could be a decent setup for some one looking to add a bit more bass and mid/high range to there car

Just reflow the solder on the potentiometer and you're good. I'm sure the solder joint is just loose and its common when people move that knob up and down. You're probably caused the solder problem by moving it too much. The solder they use now is lead free RHOS and that crap is horrible. It tends to fracture so adding some leaded solder to that joint would make it a lot more reliable.

Got to admit, very good looking for Chi-Fi
So the amp is running at 2 ohms when connected to the woofer and middler, I think you needed to test it at 2 ohms.
It’ll only be at 2ohms when or if the frequencies cross together so the cap is used to minimize that
I can guarantee that woofer didn't do anything to deal with inductance. So by the time it reaches the "tweeter" crossover it's probably at 10+ ohms
