There is quite a lot of hall & room tone so I'd say the mic's characteristic is not directional enough or too far away. I guess you guys don't want a big mic in the shot so best solution would probably be a lavalier. I had to boost the audio quite much and attenuate lower frequency ranges a little so it wouldn't get too muddy. Also cutting out some high frequencies helps with hall.
This question may be way off base, as I've never played any RPG style games, but what comparisons could be made between this game and Spirit Fire? Any at all or not even close? Or would this game be more comparable to Arkham Horror the Card Game (which I've also not played before)?
@@BoardGameCo Choose-Your-Own-Adventure seems to be a really good mechanic to make solo RPGs, and this game basically seems to be a very well made Cthulhu universe solo horror RPG.
On the crowdfunding page for this game there is a huge banner saying "REVIEWS" and this is the first video thumbnail at the top and that bought me here but it says it is a preview not a review. What is the difference and does it really matter ?
A preview is a showcase, a review is an opinion. The difference does matter, this is a showcase, it wouldn't be in the channel without some basic acceptance that the game is right for someone, but last that it isn't a critical look.

The mic works great in theory, same mic I use. It's more an issue of the room setuo
